The hotbin has never worked…Don't buy!

The hotbin has never worked satisfactorily and I know from at least two other people that we are not alone. It requires a degree in biodegradation to operate and gives off an almighty whiff. I contacted support from Day One, literally, and though they are helpful we couldn't get our money back because we'd already put compost in it. It's a bit chicken & egg - you don't know it doesn't work until you try but once you've tried you can't get your money back. Expnsive mistake. Don't buy one.

We are sorry to hear that you are struggling with the HOTBIN operation. From your review mentioning the bad smell, this is an indication that the contents are anaerobic; commonly caused by too much moisture and/or a lack of airflow. This is re-balanced with the addition of paper/card to absorb moisture and woody material to encourage airflow. In addition we would always avoid layers of any type of material in the HOTBIN and ensure it is chopped up.

Fine but refurb overdue

The gym is fine but could do with a lick of paint and the male shower & changing areas could do with a complete refurb.

Digital Discrimination & Exclusion

We feel like we are gradually being digitally excluded. I do not own a smartphone nor do I need one yet many of Seetickets events are now "load in app" digital tickets only. Some competitors ensure alternative arrangements at checkout - print at home, collect at venue, name on door with ticket ref no. but Seetickets wash their hands and say it's down to the venue. I know this isn't entirely true. I have made the print at home/collect at venue/name on door suggestions to Seetickets but they are sticking to their digital discrimination guns. Such digital dogma discriminates against the young, the old and the poor - I'm sure that, as an inclusive company Seetickets would not consider practices discriminatory to other minorities so why do they to the young, the old and the poor?

It is the event organisers decision as to what type of ticketing is available for an event. The venue you have purchased tickets for no longer accept physical tickets. As explained in your booking confirmation, the venue will contact you via email with instructions on how to access your ticket online. You do not need an app to access them. If you you are having any difficulties or have any questions you can get in touch with the venue directly via the email address provided to you in your confirmation email to make alternative arangements
