Chrono24 is a nice and trustworthy platform to buy watches. If you do enough research, you can really get some amazing deals with added peace of mind thanks to their amazing escrow service.
However, their exchange rate politics are a bit out of hand and that's why I give only 3 stars: they "force" you to pay in your currency, applying a fee of 4-5% on top of the exchange rate. Unfortunately, their Swiss account was in Germany so my bank also applied a 4-5% fee.
When you add it all together, along with the fees that the seller has to pay to sell their watch on Chrono24, I think it is too expensive for everyone.
I understand that you have to pay for a service, but I'd rather pay a flat fee for the escrow service (and choose the currency), rather than a percentage on my currency which can get very, very expensive with higher end watches.
