I had to use Claud AI over and over and…
I had to use Claud AI over and over and over and over again to understand how to fill the forms in. It "accepted" and "filed" the return but it came back the next day and I found an email that night saying "The IRS has rejected your Federal income tax return, filed on 10/15/1016" And "Please Note – action on your part is required. Your return must be refiled. " When I went to the software again, it gave me no indication of how to resolve it, nor did "The IP PIN entered should be the most recent one assigned to you by the IRS. Resubmit your return using the correct IP PIN during checkout." tell me anything about the freaking IP PIN, what it is, how to fix it....so AGAIN, I had to revert to AI several times, and fruitlessly click through the IRS's confusing website, plough through piles of paper I'd thrown away, only to find that my only solution was to mail it, Certified, the next day. There's no real "customer service," and their Bot which warns "may be inaccurate or make mistakes" claimed it couldn't understand my simple, direct questions 90% of the time....thus I'd revert to Claude AI. They don't answer emails promptly, or at all...everything I got from them was "NOREPLY at 1040.com". For laypeople, not accountants or professional tax filers, the instructions of how to fill out the IRS's arcane forms are practically useless. We don't speak IRSese, even if the geeks who programmed this do.
