I have edited this review as a follow up to the response from 123cards. Yes they provided a full refund so that is something. Yes they have a good product, that I have never said anything negative about. 123cards requested that I edit my review, and in response to their refund and statement provided I have edited my review.
However, their website system and my experience as trickery, they took no accountability for, nor did they indicate that they plan to change or amend the issues I experienced. As such I still list them as Scammy and Tricksters and a warning to those who may engage their services, that 123cards method of business is to keep your subscription engaged at an annual rate and make it undesirable and difficult to disengage your subscription.
They following is still my factual experience. This website operates a bait and switch model, although my interest was to purchase a monthly subscription, there was not an obvious direct link for that so I signed up through the free trial, it showed you can get a monthly fee, but then you can only pay for a year fee, AND that yearly subscription comes with a required auto-renew,,, no longer is there an obvious or easy to find monthly subscription sign up. (Bait & Switch), only the yearly available now..... ok so just out of time constraints and being tired, I was willing to entertain paying for a yearly subscription instead of just a monthly until SURPRISE, and not the good type. There is an auto-renew, required once you purchase the annual subscription,,, they say "you can cancel anytime" and that you can change your subscription term, so I thought fine I will pay the yearly fee and immediately cancel the auto-renew... SURPRISE AGAIN,,, fact is the "change your subscription term" button DOES NOT WORK, DOES NOT LEAD YOU ANYWHERE YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION TERM. (Trickery) If you try to cancel the auto renew, they then THREATEN to take away your "premium subscription" you have already paid for,,,,, so yes you can cancel your auto-renew, but then YOU DONT GET THE PREMIUM SERVICES YOU PAID FOR, what you get is so limited, not what you paid for, and the cards you just sent now have a shortened lifespan before they disappear, and in my case likely would not be even opened in time by the recipients. Julie at 123cards says you dont lose what you paid for and THAT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE. They lessen the features and terms of what you paid for to the point that it is discouraging to cancel the auto-renew as they are changing the quality of the product you were represented and paid for. That is just wrong! Again, more dishonesty from 123cards.
I am not saying their product is bad, thats not the issue, the issue is how they mislead and manipulate the customer to pay for somthing you dont want or agreed to, or for more than you intended. I understand people are giving them good reviews, and I have to wonder if they will still feel the same when they get billed an auto-renew, a year later and then try to disengage, with auto renews and cant shorten the term or cancel without losing the premium ecards they were auto-billed for, and those premium services became non-premium services.
Despite the refund I received from 123cards, they did not admit to the issues on their website or make any promise to change the methods they employ that I consider scammy and trickery. Further, their reply is not honest.
As such I still caution business with them and maintain the 1-star rating, until such time as they amend their website to work in an honest and forthright manner.

I do not understand why you ruined my 123 card experience by introducing a metric conversion.apt. That has nothing to do with digital cards and it screwed up my successful using of your program. I did not have an alternative to opt out. It could easily have been a phishing program.

I just LOVE 123 Cards! They send reminders of the special days coming up and let me know when a card I've sent has been opened. I haven't had to contact them for anything for a long time, but way back whn I did it was my own fault for omitting something in the recipients address; the stff is wonderfully friendly and hepful!

You all are inconsistent with letting me know someone open my card. I do not receive the notification all the time. Only sometimes. I will get an email saying
“Mary open your card” or l will receive an email & no follow up saying Mary had not opened your card “ and then no follow up.

Fraudulent use of my credit card. Within 10 minutes of providing my card information to 123, I received call from my financial institution re fraudulent charges on my card. 123 cards compromised my information and allowed a video gaming distributor to use that info to repeatedly charge my account 2 minutes after 123 charge was made

I haven’t used 123 e-cards for years but our Grandson lives in China and this is the perfect way to send him Greetings . Cheaper than sending a card . It was easy to order and I was informed along the way of progress . My Grandson was delighted . I had to work out the time difference so he got it in the morning , which worked perfectly. I am very satisfied.

I ordered this card as I understood that my grandson's name would be in the song. It's just saying 'Happy birthday to you' instead of 'Happy birthday to Connor'. Very disappointed.
Further to this review I have now spoken with Sasha at 123cards & she has explained that not all cards include the name of the recipient in the song. It was my mistake as I didn't check the details more carefully. Other than that issue I have always been happy with my e-cards & the customer service is excellent. Cheers
