I booked a taxi via the 13 cabs phone…

I booked a taxi via the 13 cabs phone line. The cab did not turn up. I called back the phone operator was rude and condescending. I called an Uber and got great service. I do not understand why 13 cabs exist. If the taxi industry followed the same business model as Uber it would likely be so much better. Cut out the middle man and get rid of 13cabs!

Very bad Taxi service

Very bad Taxi service, do not book them if you can avoid. I had to use cabcharges, so have to book 13cab not Uber. Every time I book the taxi, I picked up the option for normal taxi, every time I get VAN, the driver said I booked 5-6 people with wheelchairs. There is no option to speak with a person, the robot repeats same message again against. Can’t even log complaint.

Do not deserve one star

Do not deserve one star. Nearly caused me to miss my flight. Thank god for Uber.
First 13Cab driver did not show up. Booked a second cab and was told that they would arrive “ shortly “ 20 mins later I booked Uber who arrived in 5 mins and at half the price. Disgraceful.

No show debacle

Booked and prepaid for a maxi cab a couple of days in advance for pickup at Geelong Spirit of Tasmania for a group with disabilities.
Cab did not show up.
Telephone staff were unhelpful when we phoned to check.
Then to cap it all off they sent a message to say the pickup had been completed and incl a photo of the driver. Charged the credit card.
The cab did not show up!
Only giving a one star because there is not an option for no stars.
Not happy with everything about 13cabs.

If there was a negative 1 star....I would've selected that!.
I ordered a taxi at 4pm. A driver accepted it...then rejected it. I called the customer service line and the voice over says they're still trying to locate a driver for me. I tried to cancel...but the voice said it was unable to cancel taxi and put me in cue to speak to a human. The human answered and was rude while I was trying explain. She then sent another taxi...I got a txt to say Mandeep was arriving....but there was no one. Then I called AGAIN, the voice said all the same things as before...I tried to cancel and was redirected on to a human. The human asked if I was standing where I should be...I answered yes. He then said I was moved to priority. Anyway....530pm came and I just ended up calling a Uber. And Taxi services wonder why we use and prefer Uber. Only used Taxi because I had a Taxi voucher from work. Won't be doing that again....I'd rather jog home with my pants down and become famous on TikTok

Do not trust this taxi company. I booked the day before a race for a cab to pick me up at 6:15am. I had a ‘request reference number’ i never received confirmation or more importantly, a message to say ‘sorry we can’t meet your request’. I had a sleepless night worrying and wondering if a cab would turn up - and no it didn’t. Fortunately I was able to run to meet a bus to get me to the race start but it was stressful! It says on their app and website you can speak to ‘a person’ 24/7 - Ha! No way could I contact a ‘person’ just a recorded message with only 3 options 1. Do you want a taxi now? 2. Do you want to pre schedule a taxi? 3. Do you want lost property?. No ‘would you like to confirm a booking?’ I’m so, so angry!😡

Booked a taxi at 9.33

Booked a taxi at 9.33. a.m. this morning 19 May, 2024 and are still waiting for my taxi to arrive, now 10 52 a.m.so have missed my important 10 a.m.appointment.
This is the second time that we have been stranded by this Taxi Company.
Will not be using them again as they are so unreliable and their communication is impossible as when you phone you only get to talk to a robot. Why did I only give them one star, because there was none lower to give them. Beware of this Company if you want service and decent communication.

Disgusting taxi driver abused and belittled me when I ponted out his scam for not being able to afford his overpriced ride which was double the price of any Uber from Melbourne city to St Kilda. When I told him he needed to learn some manners he called me a C*** This is the measure of their staff

One star is too generous

One star is too generous. Do not use this service, unreliable, no cab drivers even accepted. Had my grandfather and myself waiting at the hospital for a ride for over an hour. Booked taxi online and called u, both to no success. Never got a taxi in the end and only robot operators.

I was charged $52.29 from Brisbane…

I was charged $52.29 from Brisbane Airport to Brisbane Airport Novotel - 3.7km distance and under 10 minutes. I raised the issue with 13Cabs customer service, and 5 weeks later, despite 4 follow up emails and 2 facebook messages to the company, I have not received a response. I am shocked that the company simply ignores messages. My claim number is 819979

Took a 90 year old woman out for dinner…

Took a 90 year old woman out for dinner and ordered a maxi taxi (for wheelchair) as soon as we had eaten dinner for 1 hours time. Within 15 minutes I had an automated call asking if I still needed it. 1.5 hours after the time we requested the app was still showing as ‘looking for cab’. The taxi never ever showed - absolutely terrible that somebody can be stranded with no way home. In the end we called family who were able to assist with there Hyundai hatch (picture a wheelchair bound elderly lady trying to get in 🙄☹️). I cancelled the booking after 3 hrs of making it. Seems I am lucky I didn’t prepay for it!

I am utterly disappointed with this company!

A wheelchair taxt was booked with 24hours notice only to not turn up. When 13CABS was contacted approx 30 mins after the booked pick up time we were told that no cabs/drivers were available and we would just have to wait. After two hours of waiting we cancelled the booking. This booking was for my terminally ill mother who is wheelchair bound. This trip was a chance for her to visit her home possibly one last time.
How with 24hrs notice can a driver/cab not be available? I was told on the phone from 13cabs that they don't put the job in their system until 10 mins prior to the booking request time.
How ridiculous. We were left extremely upset, and disappointed as after waiting over 2 hours we had to cancel the booking. Absolutley disgracful service.

Whats the point of making a booking?

I have an international flight in 90 mins. The taxi was booked for 30 minutes ago and still hasnt arrived. I booked this taxi with this company 2 days ago, and it was verbally confirmed. Now that I want to talk to someone to find out where the hell my taxi is, no one is available. Honestly the way these companies treat their customers, they shouldnt be in business...Hello Uber!

Wish I had read the reviews! But I honestly didn't think a taxi company could be so incompetent. Booked a cab the day prior to the travel day, for a medical appointment, never showed up, spent 10 minutes being transferred never got to speak to anyone. Now going to be over an hour late to a specialist appointment.

I had to catch a train today very important that I catch that train! I tried 4 times to book a cab on the app. I had given myself plenty of time for it to arrive no one accepted. Oh well I'll call and book one no one accepted that fare either. I tried to get a cab from this company for 40 mins needless to say I didn't get my train. I'm beyond furious!!! They bang on about how they can't make a living because of Uber well they've lost me I'll be catching an Uber from now on. Sydney started at 8.50 gave up at 9.30am. I would have given them no stars but didn't have the option.

This was the most terrible taxi…

This was the most terrible taxi experience I have had. I ordered the taxi in Melbourne. They took a long time to arrive, the taxi smelt like last nights garlic and the cab driver had the window down on my side, good for the smell, but bad as it was raining. Worst of all the meter read $27 plus $6 service Total $33, but he charged me $52! I had luggage in the boot so I couldn’t do anything. The receipt didn’t even say the correct pickup and drop off suburb! The experience was so terrible I will never use this provider again. I would give no stars if I could. Do NOT use!!!! Wish I had reviewed before using this service. In other cities I have never had a problem.

Passenger Outraged by 13cabs' Inadequate Service: Calls for Accountability and Improvement

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from 13cabs on 29th March. Despite booking a taxi for 1-11 passengers and clearly indicating that there would be 6 passengers along with 6 items of luggage, I was provided with a SUV that was wholly inadequate for our needs.
When making the booking on their website, i selected the Maxi Taxi with a van image.

As a response to my written complaint, their reply to was disappointing and insulting. It is incredulous to suggest that customers should allocate entire seats for luggage when booking a taxi. The purpose of specifying the number of passengers and luggage is to ensure adequate accommodation is provided. Their failure to fulfill this basic requirement resulted in a situation where we had to order an Uber to transport the remaining passengers, incurring additional expenses.

Their dismissive attitude and refusal to take responsibility for their mistake are unacceptable. It is clear that their booking system is flawed, and their customer service lacks empathy and accountability.

Furthermore, their refusal to reimburse me for the additional expenses I incurred is utterly disgraceful.

It is evident that 13cabs has a long way to go in terms of customer service excellence, and I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements.

Terrible company and customer service

I was travelling to Melbourne with an infant, and wanted a car seat for their safety. I rang the day before to rebook, the person I spoke to said initially that as they are not required by legislation in Victoria they did not have cabs that carried them, so I thanked him and was about to hang up when he said he would speak with a supervisor. He did so then came back and said they could find one, so I booked for hajj an hour after my flight was due to land.
The driver called me while I was sitting on the tarmac waiting to take off saying he was there, I told him I hadn't even left yet and asked if he could do some other jobs then come back for me once I was there. There were some issues communicating but he seemed to agree. Once I got off the plane and collected my baggage I tried to carry and text him, no response. So I called the company.
The guy I spoke to was so rude and unhelpful, he just kept saying that as they were not required they had no cabs that could offer them. I told him I had booked and he just kept repeating that he couldn't help. I asked to speak to a supervisor, he first said no, they will tell you the same thing. When I pushed he said, well i can but I don't know what to tell you we just don't have them. But this time I was getting quite upset and had a baby who was getting cranky so I just hung up to call someone else.
