Garbage.

Garbage.
misinformation, dishonest tactics. Took my money, canceled my booking and then told me I needed to pay for an upgrade to get my money back.

This company should be avoided at all cost.

Hiya I am hopping mad about my…

Hiya I am hopping mad about my treatment but I am giving 3 stars (strange) well its because over the years I have had good service and generally with a bit of patience have gotten what I want when I want it BUT... on this occasion Ouch! I confirmed a week at Valle de Romano Golf resort in Southern Spain, it was portrayed very well by Edward.. Nice guy very helpful no problem with getaway guide both he and Caterina. Then my wife read to me recent Very recent reviews which made my skin crawl. Unsanitary cold damp ...only stayed 2 nights...worse experience ever... this kinda thing. So I contacted and asked that we cancel, they hold on to my exchange fee until we find another week. 24 hours after the booking was made, I was told you should have booked insurance..Really I do not feel they should be knowingly sending folks to somewhere with this level of sanitation. I would have been ill. So thank you we will keep you fee, but you can take another credit in lieu. I tried to escalate the complaint but no joy just poor Edward given the job of explaining. So it seems RCI influence on this once well run little company has contaminated it. As so many of the 1 star reviews suggest. Shame on you!!!!!

Not what it used to be

I generally agree with other reviewers. The company has changed over the years, generally for the worse. They closed their Australia office. They are more of a rental company. They are now owned by RCI. I discarded RCI many years ago in favour of 7 across, sadly I am back to RCI

Complete scam

Complete scam, DO NOT entertain any meetings with anyone involved with Sand & Sea, or Hotel Los Olivos, Costa Areca, Tenerife. They get you into the hotel by giving you a scratch card outside of the hotel, they tell you you have won something (you haven’t), they trap you into meetings that take hours out of your holiday whilst they try to force sell you two weeks of holidays at Los Olivos in supposed Gold Standard Apartments. If you fall for it like we did, you will be very sorry. We got our 1st weeks holiday, the apartment balcony was terrible, we got the roof balcony but we could not see anything of value. We were harassed into taking another meeting where they tried to sell even more weeks and we kept saying no, not interested. They appeared to accept it until the next day, the boss wanted to meet us yet again??? , we said no!!! We was on holiday to relax, not to be pressured into spending more money. When we got back home, we decided to book our second week and this is what they said.

“As you are aware, you purchased our promotional holiday package which entitles you to 7 days of accommodation at Los Olivos Beach Resort, plus 1 additional week of prepaid accommodation, which was gifted as an incentive for you to holiday at our resort.

These prepaid week is available to you via 7Across, who have a large inventory of worldwide resorts available.

Once activated, the accommodation voucher is valid for 12 months, so please confirm if you wish me to activate the voucher and I shall do so directly.

LET ME SAY RIGHT NOW, THIS IS A LIE, THIS IS NOT WHAT THEY SOLD US, THEY SOLD US TWO SEPERATE WEEKS AT LOS OLIVOS AND THAT IS WHAT WE PAID FOR. THEY ARE NOW SAYING WE GET A VOUCHER FOR SOME RANDOM HOLIDAY COMPANY, IN GOD KNOWS WHERE.

THIS PLACE CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!!

Stay away from 7 Across!

I would agree with most of the negative comments here. Dial an Exchange was far better, and there were always exchanges available. The website was more user friendly too, whereas I cannot find anything I need anymore - reviews, which were useful, have disappeared, and you can no longer make requests online, nut have to phone. I banked a June 3bed Cameron House week more than 4 years ago now, and 7 across haveoffered me nothing at all, suitable or even comparable. Now I have been told I cannot renew any more, and they won't have anything to offer me anyway, so I must forfeit this very expensive and desirable week. I wrote a complaint to management, but nobodyat all has had the common courtesy to even reply or acknowledge my e-mail. I will not be banking any more weeks with them, and it seems others are feeling the same way, as deposits are in very short supply. This organisation has really gone downhill, and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Downwards spiral this company is on.

I have read the reviews left by others and I totally concur with their views.
We have been with Dial an Exchange in the past. They had their issues but nothing in comparison to 7 Accross.
I was furious to find out that they had changed their Gold membership policy last year without informing us.
They maintained that an email had been sent out to all gold membership informing them of the details.
This was far from the truth . I spoke to 3 separate members of staff this morning and was actually hung up on when I asked to speak to a manager to raise a complaint. This was during the second conversation .
The third agent (Edward) managed to turn a hopeless situation around and even offered an apology . So well done Edward.
In my experience things are most definitely going downhill as far as this company is concerned.
They need to up their game if they want to keep our custom.

Company lied to trick me into signing over my bonus week from my time share resort.

Tried to use a bonus week from my time-share to book accommodation for a holiday and needed specific dates and a specific location. The woman on the phone knew this and said she would book me in, I just needed to give them permission to transfer my bonus week from my time-share to their company which I did. As soon as it was approved she told me they couldn't book me the accommodation I needed because it was booked out. She said she would put me on a waitlist though in case anything opens up. After a month I called up again to check if any openings had come up only to find out the accommodation isn't booked out, I just couldn't book it in the days I wanted as they only booked Friday to Friday and we needed a Wednesday to Wednesday. Begrudgingly I agreed to book the Friday to Friday even though we would have been arriving on the Wednesday so we would be using a whole weeks accommodation but would only use 5 days of it and would need to pay for another hotel for the remaining 2 days. That was OK with them but they then told me there were only 1 bedroom apartments available. I was confused because I'd looked at the resorts website and it said there were 2 bedrooms available. I called the resort as well who said none of their 2 bedrooms had been booked out in those days so they were all available. 7Across told me there was nothing they could do, they couldn't give me a the 2 bedroom upgrade and weren't sure why the resort said there was some available. I was on hold for over an hour while they supposedly contacted the resort to sort it out but in the end still said they could only book us a 1 bedroom. Since we had to have 2 bedrooms I told them not to worry about it and we would book our own accommodation. I asked them to give my bonus week back to my time share resort so I could use it with them but was told this is impossible. I complained since they mislead me in the beginning knowing full well they couldn't provide the resort I needed on the dates I'd requested yet still made me sign over my bonus week. I was met with an apology but still told it's impossible to transfer the week back and there's nothing they can do. In order to use my bonus week I had saved up, I had to use it with them and pay them the transfer fee.

Honestly I'm furious, the initial stuff around was so stressful, they mislead me into thinking the accommodation was available only to tell me too late that it actually wasn't available. Then after I contacted them a second time, it was available the whole time, I just wasn't informed that they only booked out certain days. Then for some unknown reason, they couldn't book me the room I needed despite the fact that it was definitely free and available. And finally being told that despite all this stuffing around and misleading information, they were going to keep my bonus week so I couldn't use it.

It this stage I'm convinced this company is a scam, they lied in order to steal my business and lock me into using them and only them. Their practices are extremely unethical and I won't ever be using their services again

Its had its day!

Used to be very good but since being bought by RCI it has gone steadily down. We are in our last year of timeshare ownership in 2026 and I cannot wait to be finished with it. We have had some good exchanges over the years but it has all deteriorated despite high maintenance charges being levied. Even the owners who were good and had integrity seem to have changed - ours in Madeira being an example of greed being more important than reputation.

Poor customer service

Having banked a week in 2025 and taken Gold membership, the service has been underwhelming. The staff are helpful but the system is poor, choices are non existent (2025), filters cannot be applied eg Sicily but not Sardinia and the expectation seems to be that the customer does more of the searching. We have requested for 2026 and it has taken three telephone calls to get closer to what we requested. One star given as that is the lowest permitted. Major improvements are needed.

Why Pay to Extend When There's Never Any Availability

My week was banked with 7Across without my approval by Classic Holidays. Despite numerous requests, I have never had a single successful exchange or been offered any reasonable accommodation. Now, with my week set to expire in 7 days, I received a call from an overseas call centre offering to extend it for $85.
Let’s waste more money, shall we? Why would I pay to extend a week when there has never been any availability or decent matches in the first place? The service has consistently failed to deliver, and the $85 extension offer feels like adding insult to injury rather than a real solution. For good will, 7across should try and find a match or extend the expiration date.

It's owned by RCI, timeshare is not worth it!

Since it was bought by RCI their customer service became extremely poor.
New fees were introduced, poorest availability for exchange ever, the Gold membership is NOT worth it as there are literally NO benefits! They take our weeks that we deposit and we pay the maintenance fee, and put them back into the rental market for sale, to us, the members! We are supposed to buy the weeks and pay a rental fee or they list them through other online booking platforms.
Timeshare has gone downhill a lot! NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE! You'll get stuck and hit with a lot of other fees before you even go on holiday, plus the resorts are poorly maintained, look like 2-3 star motels.
Nowadays for the cost of the maintenance fee you can book a great holiday in a great resort including meals and airfares and sometimes many other benefits!

Not worth the free membership

The people on the phone are pleasant and try to help. But the system is horrible. The selection of properties is all over the place as far as quality.

They are supposed to be an exchange company and offer hotel, and discounts for stays. The exchanges do not exist, the prices are the same or worse than other online sites.

Yes, the initial membership is free, but to do any exchange there is a $200 fee. That is reasonable as far as exchange fees goes. But they try to up sell the membership to Gold. Also a reasonable fee. But if there is nothing worth stay in..... we'll it doesn't matter what they charge if you don't get anything.

To do a request or search for properties is very cumbersome. There are no ratings on the site of the properties. To find review, you have to search other online sources.

Overall I have not had any success with them so far. I don't have much hope I will going forward. I gave them a 3 star because the staff is very nice.
