Ended up having to raise a chargeback.

Multiple failed orders from abnormal.io - I have had to repeatedly email abnormal after my account kept getting charged. The comms are horrific and expect to wait in the region of 10 days to get a response.

I recieved a refund on my 2 orders but on my 3rd attempt they failed to respond.

I gave them 3 weeks to respond and then raised a dispute with my credit card company. Abnormal reached out to me 7 days after I raised the dispute with the card company.

They are insisting that I must close the dispute if I wish for them to refund me. Essentially, blackmail.

Abnormal are a shower of a company.

Ordered a free trial that never arrived. Tried to complain via email, Facebook and messaged via their website, no response. Cannot seem to cancel the subscription which they signed me up for so will have to contact my bank. Avoid and shop elsewhere.

The questionnaire was simple to fill out. I had the free trial and my delivery arrived fairly quick. I have tried two of the flavours so far and am very disappointed. The flavours themselves aren't the strongest or most pleasant but the biggest negative I'd the texture. The powder does not dissolve very well at all. The instructions say to shake it for 15secs which was my first sign that concerned me. But even trying to mix for longer or adding more water the texture doesn't improve and I'm left with lots of powdery lumps with every mouthful.

Honest roundup:
1) This is one of those subscription companies that notify you when your order and payment has been automatically taken, NOT one of those (more ethical, to my mind) companies who notify you that your order/payment is due shortly so you can make any adjustments if needed this month.
2) Some people might have a bit of digestive bother with the artificial sweeteners
3) However, I would say overall a good product, tastes good and mixes fine, convenient packaging - fairly happy with product compared to others on the market
4) Reliable delivery of goods so far

I will continue to buy, although I will do so intermittently by pausing my subscription and ordering manually, since I can’t trust them to notify me when my subscription is coming up (rather than after it has been taken) like some other companies I subscribe to for things. I would prefer a non-artificial sweetener option if one had been available.

I have tried multiple times the last 3 days to get any kind of update on my order.
So far, 64.98 has been taken (at this point, stolen) from my bank account. I have ordered a few times before, but a glitch ment I had to reset my account with them and start again. I ordered that on the 31st of May and have had no info about it's arrival. On the 9th on June the full payment of 59.99 was taken.
This is quite a lot of money and to get zero communication is terrible in my opinion. I will need to contest the money with my bank.

update on my previous reviews, despite assurance over 1 month ago, I am still yet to receive my order.
They treid to blame it on some missing ingredients for certain flavours, however when I offered to swap my flavours so that they can fulfill my order, they said it affects all flavours, if this is the case, how can they still be offering theor products online and takign orders, ones whch they cant fulfill for months. This looks like it should be a police matter now, as it seems to be a scam. DONT ORDER FROM THESE SCAMMERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I ordered the trial pack to see how I got on. I wanted a meal replacement to supplement my diet with vital nutrients as there are whole food groups that my body doesn't tolerate.
All the shakes taste good. Mixing is a bit hit or miss, but I'm getting better at using the shaker which is well designed and easy to clean.
After 7 days I realised I am no longer in pain. I have tendon /joint issues and before my trial I struggled to get onto and off a chair without grunting and levering my body. I can do it easily now. My knees bend properly and are no longer 'rusty'.
I have lost weight ( this was not my main target, but I'm pleased about it).
I recommend trying abnormal and see how it suits you and your lifestyle.
I carry a shaker and sachets everywhere I go.

I have never tried meal replacements before. I never had a high opinion of them. I don't skip meals and I figured by not 'eating', I would end up feeling hungry.
Well I was wrong! The flavours of abnormal are incredible and by first of all answering a questionnaire honestly about your lifestyle, they put into your meals all the nutrients, protein and goodness YOUR body needs with a proper amount of calories for you.

They send this with a shaker bottle the first time and a booklet that goes through everything that's included in your mix (which you can change if your lifestyle changes) and why it's included.

I now use these to replace breakfast. I could never really get breakfast right - cereals aren't that good for you, I couldn't be bothered cooking eggs all the time and now I get a much more nutritious meal to set me off for the day.

Highly recommended.

Disgusting got the free sample pack flavours nasty banana amd strawberry even blitz it in my ninja still didn't mix properly very powder taste. Also my poo is all sticky and like cow pats wasn't before I started this stuff .

Ordered the free trial, came opened with the contents of one of the sachet's spread inside the box. Contacted them on Friday 6th jan but had no response, tried calling them but they were "refuelling". Got a message back following Monday saying they will get the matter sorted and asking for pictures. I sent them Monday around 1. Tried giving them a call again at 3 o'clock, again they were "refuelling" despite saying they are open until 6pm. It is now Tuesday, again they are "refuelling", they haven't been active on WhatsApp in the last 3 hours or on their chat on the website. What an utter waste, starting to think it is just a big scam.

After ordering the trial and then my first month’s subscription I’m pleased to say I love this product, so many flavours to choose from but my favourite is just the plain old vanilla it’s so good. I did find I prefer it when I blitz it with ice in my nutri bullet, it makes it so creamy and chilled.

Has a few issues that the Customer team handled exceptionally. I’ll definitely be back for more.

Avoid! Absolutely clumpy, no matter how many times you shake it was always clumpy and disgusting taste like powder!! Also just charged me £59.99 for a subscription that I cancelled and no one will answer me!! The product is absolutely disgusting would rather drink sick!!

The website and product designs are eye appealing, to say the least. When I saw the advert and offer to try 7 meals for a discount, I was interested. I have been wanting to incorporate a meal replacement shake for work as I do 14 hour shifts that are non-stop. I answered the introductory questions and I easily signed up to a subscription, around £60, a bit on the pricey side but I justified it with how good the product looked at the time.

My package arrived, neatly and nicely presented, much like the entire site. I continued to be impressed with the information within the box, layout and even the shake looked pretty nice (though nothing fancy but the theme was consistent).

The product, I.E. the shake, was lacklustre. Nothing inherently wrong, but nothing special. There lies my problem. It is an expensive product, and I expected something a little special to your usual run-of-the-mill shake. I have tried Huel, Whole Fuel ect in the past, these bland oat flavours make you quickly become flavour fatigued (which of course is to be expected as most of these shakes are bulked with oat). Unfortunately, with Abnormal, this was the same. A strong oat flavour, but at that price, I wanted more and expected more with the posh and eye appealing design.

Ultimately, I cannot justify such a price for a product that simply ended up as being quite standard, ironically. If the price tag is justified for the customized nutritional value, for me it was not enough and I need more. 3/5

Hi, I have a busy training schedule and I don’t always have time to prepare healthy meals. Sometimes I just need or only have time, to prepare something quick, that has good nutritional value. I have been using Abnormal for a year or so and have no complaints.

Its easy to order, always arrives on time and it’s not badly priced when you work it out. Over the years I have used a lot of other company products and to be honest it tastes good, whether you mix it will milk, water or anything else and it does not clump up like some powders.

Yes in the early days, I did not get my head around the subscription model, as it is automatic sent out and I ended up with more than I needed. That said, the answer to that was easy, I simply logged on and suspended the order until I need to, it takes all of 5 mins to do it and it takes about 5 minutes to start it up again.

Now for me, the test of a good company, is how well a company deals with things when something goes wrong and how they deal with you as a customer. I’m sure we have all had issues with company’s before and you get fobbed off with excuses and at best, a voucher for a £5, which tells me what they really think about you as a customer.

So a couple of weeks ago, I ordered a box of shakes and a week after, they had not arrived. I simply emailed Abnormal to ask the question “when will it be delivered”. Within 12 hours I had a reply and it came from a real person (Liam Jordan) not from just a auto email from ‘the customer services department’. Not only did they put their hands up about why there was a delay (they are changing over their ordering systems) but there was a sincere apology and a explanation of the steps they were taking to rectify it and a refund of what I paid for the order.

I can see that there are some recent low scores on Trust pilot, but to date, I can say Abnormal have been one of the best companies I have dealt with for a long time and the product is good value and does what it says on the tin…well sachet 😊

Not a great experience and a scam for your money. After you get a trial pack to try, your are automatically subscribe you for the £60 without you knowing it. If it is in there, it is such a small detail that you skip past it. In any way I don’t think it’s fair you subscribe somebody without the person knowing about it. I didn’t agreed to that.
The products are not great either. The taste is ok, but the powder never mixes in enough even after you shake it for about half an hour. I have tried 2 different flavours now and both have the same issue. I don't finish my trial pack without ever thinking to get more. I have tried messaging on WhatsApp, message not read or no reply. I have emailed, no reply. I have tried the online chat, no response or reply. Does anyone work there that I can talk to? With the cost of living crisis, you have taken £60 from my account, without me knowing I had been auto subscribed. But I am trying to get the refund because I paid for something I didn’t have any intention to buy.
Customer service is terrible.

Order a free trial, never received it, dpd says that they have my details, but not the parcel. It was ordered on the 9th of august. Still waiting for the delivery of the free trial. But surprisingly abnormal.io already charged me for the next delivery, 59 pounds. Contacted them via WhatsApp and email, no response yet. Cancelled the subscription. Very disappointed with the lack of costumer support/not fulfilled delivery.

You take payment for 30 meals - a week later no meals have arrived - I contact the company to be told the delay was due to a missing ingredient…..

You should contact your customers to advise them if their meals will be dispatched after the expected date.

I was then told they would be sent out that day on next day delivery.

It is now a further 4 days later and I have no meals and no dispatch email.

Tried 6 packets of the Collaslim product during January and February this year and although I religiously replaced the breakfast with the shakes, and sometimes the lunchtime meals, I never experienced any weight loss at all. The taste was quite nice but an expensive product with no results. I’ve looked at the Peptigen+ Age Defying Multi-Collagen but I think having not had any noticeable results with the Collaslim, I’m loathed to waste my money.
