We are a dance business and have been…

We are a dance business and have been using acuity scheduling since an year now.
It was quite easy to set up and have lots of youtube videos available to help.
We raised a query with the customer support team and they were very considerate and helpful.
We would like to continue using this software and would highly recommend.

Please add a ‘Waitlist’ feature on Acuity

Acuity is great for organizing bookings with my nail business. However, it would be nicer if there is a ‘Waitlist’ option for clients who want to get a notification whenever a slot opens up so they can book it right away! Other scheduling platforms have this type of feature already, hoping for Acuity to have the same!! :)

Game changer for our studio!

I use acuity for both virtual and in-person appointments for our studio. We use the intake forms to prep for our rentals and the ability for clients to update before their appointment is incredibly helpful! I like that the client view and the back-end are quite intuitive, so our clients can be autonomous in their bookings. For our members I do an onboarding call to showcase the sign in function & rescheduling. I’m incredibly happy with how well Acuity has worked for our studio! In case I couldn’t catch a later drop in in-person, I also really like how the invoicing feature associates a client to a class so I can correctly capture which event this client is associated with.

Not Compatible With Square Payments

I loved the Acuity scheduling system; however, after one of the app updates, I have been unable to process payments using Square. I called customer service and followed the trouble shooting steps to no avail. Eventually, I canceled my subscription and decided to fully integrate my website using Square only.

I really like to use this platform for my business. Really comfortable and useful for me and my students.
Only 1 negative thing I have to say, that I have to switch off reschedule bottom, because, unfortunately, after pack of classes is expired, students can still reschedule classes how much they want. Should exist some block for rescheduling when pack expired.

Acuity Has ALMOST Everything I Need….

I use Acuity Scheduling for my beauty and wellness studio and overall it’s a strong platform for service-based businesses. The automation (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups), customizable intake forms, and the ease of client self-booking make it very effective for managing a busy schedule.

That said, there are a few improvements that would make the system significantly better—especially for businesses that offer multiple or layered services.

The biggest issue is the lack of true multi-service booking within a single appointment. Currently the workaround is to list additional services as add-ons, which can make the booking screen feel cluttered and less intuitive for clients. Being able to stack multiple services into one appointment would make the booking experience much smoother.

It would also be helpful to have a limit on how many times a client can reschedule an appointment, as well as the ability to apply multiple codes to one booking. For example, if a client has multiple memberships or credits, they currently can’t apply more than one code when additional services are booked as add-ons.

Additional improvements that would make a big difference:

• Waitlist functionality so clients can join a list if a desired time is unavailable
• Afterpay integration as a payment option
• The ability for clients to skip re-completing intake forms when nothing has changed
• The option for businesses to change the term “deposit” to “retainer”, which is often the more legally appropriate language for non-refundable reservation fees
• Better membership and credit management, including the ability for multiple memberships or credits to be applied to a single booking

Overall, Acuity has great automation and customization, and it works well for many service providers. With improvements in these areas—especially around multi-service booking—it would be an even stronger platform for businesses that offer complex or layered services.
