Our 7 month old working cocker spent 11…
Our 7 month old working cocker spent 11 days with Danny. At first I was worried about leaving her somewhere given that she was a very nervous dog. As soon as we met Danny and the place I could see he genuinely loved the dogs and Coco took to him straight away.
We have 2 other dogs and before going here coco was nervous to be on her own without the other dogs. If a person or another dog would even look at her so would Yelp and howl. The difference in 11 days of Danny working hard socialising her is unbelievable. She will quite happily walk past other dogs now without trying to run off.
Her heel work and focus is excellent.
I am so pleased she went and would definatley recommend Danny and the rest of the team.

Amazing Results - Danny with Ronnie & Marnie
I have just collected my 3 year old French Bulldog & 1 year old Olde English Bulldogge and I am amazed at the transformation during their 10 day intensive training! Their trainer Danny was fantastic, I felt at complete ease leaving them and knew they where being well looked after along with excellent training! Both dogs were hard work to walk together before they went and they've come back walking so calmly together and walking to heel. Both of them are so much calmer and happier in their day to day lives, not barking when I get leads or go to answer the door and no reaction when people knock at the door. They are also non reactive to dogs on walks! Getting this training seems to have really reduced the anxiety my Frenchie had and is making homelife so much more enjoyable in the past 2 days I've had them back, so much so that I have booked my other 2 dogs to go and do the same training. Excellent facilities and trainers! (Chesterfield)

We took our 2 and half yr old GSD…
We took our 2 and half yr old GSD Django to ADK9 for a weeks intensive training mainly to work on his lead work. Django was a real puller on the lead so much so I couldn’t walk him, my partner had to hold him to walk as he was just too strong for me. Django had a few other issues with socialisation we wanted addressing but mainly the lead work. By no means is he perfect but miles better and I can now walk him alone which is just a gift in itself!!! We knew this wouldn’t be a quick fix but it was certainly a good start, we got regular updates and we were happy with the care he received. It’s definitely helped with us feeling confident with leaving him for boarding or further training which we have booked again. We had Danny for Django who was great and we would happily recommend his services. He seemed to have a good knowledge of GSD’s and their behaviours and issues they can incur. We just wish we had booked sooner!

ADK9 training Otis
We took our French Bulldog, Otis, to ADK9 at Chesterfield for 10 days training
I must admit that I wasn't very optimistic because he was terrible when going on walks, pulling, showing aggression to other dogs etc.
We ended up taking him walks at night to avoid other people/dogs
Danny at ADK9 met us and we talked through Otis's behaviour issues.
When we picked Otis up i could not believe the change in him, walking to heel, and a lot calmer.
We have had him back home for two weeks now and he is like a different dog. We do still have the odd issues with him when seeing other dogs but we now know how to correct his behaviour, so its down to us now to continue with his training.
I would like to thank the whole team at ADK9 training Danny especially and I will without doubt use and recommend ADK9 in the future.

Incredible Service!
After struggling for so long with my troubled Staffy Bruno, he was booked in for a week stay with ADK9 in Chesterfield for training and I just wanted to say a massive Thankyou for all their support over the last week especially Danny who was working with Bruno and helped him achieve so much! I really couldn’t be happier with the service they have provided, even before taking Bruno to ADK9 they were so supportive and helpful with any questions I had along with the updates throughout Bruno’s stay, the training upon collection and Danny also offering the free 1-2-1 if it is needed after his stay which is amazing we were still offered this as we do live 2.5hours away from the location but it was most definitely worth every minute! Since having bruno back I can already see a big difference in his behaviour when out on walks and whilst we’re at home as before having the training he was so hyperactive and what seemed uncontrollable, we will be working very hard to keep up everything he’s achieved with Danny and continue making progress!

We sent our 3 year old French Bulldog…
We sent our 3 year old French Bulldog for 12 days. He used to pull on the lead and we felt very uneasy with him around other dogs however, we now feel like we have a new dog! Before our dog went he was quite a hyper dog who would never get tired no matter how many walks you took him on but we can genuinely say that since being home he is so much calmer and seems to be more in control of himself!
We were very sad to be away from him for that long but we were updated everyday with videos and pictures of him which was lovely.
He has been home for a week now and we have put everything into practice that Jess, the trainer, taught both us and our dog Frank. He walks to heel all the time and listens to us so much better. We feel much more reassured with how he is around other dogs and his socialisation, as he was able to mix with lots of dogs whilst away.

So glad we did it!
Our boxer girl just over a year was a nightmare to walk, pulling all over the place, distracted by everything, dogs, birds etc. She had been to puppy training back in February but think lockdown caused a number of issues. She became reactive to other dogs she didn't already know from her earlier puppy days and walking her was a nightmare and definitely not enjoyable most of the time! We started working with a trainer one on one, once a week and things were improving a little but it was hard to keep this up everyday on the school run etc. I began googling doggy boot camps and came across adk9 and reviews looked good, left my details and was called by Alan who said he believed he could help. Poppy was booked in a couple of weeks later and it couldn't come quick enough! Had a few updates from Alan while she was there and was doing well. Collected her a week later and wow what an improvement, walking to heel not pulling! We did have a few issues later that week when back to walking on the school run, other dogs were hard to avoid and didn't think we were doing things right. Sent Alan an email and video of us and he called me making an arrangement to have my husband and I come back in for an hour and spent time with us and his colleague walking other dogs past us, giving us the right way to control her. Both my husband and I felt much more confident and we are continuing to try use the techniques we have been given, she can still be reactive to dogs but is much better to walk. Would recommend Alan if you are having issues.

For anybody that has been thinking…
For anybody that has been thinking about bringing their dog to ADK9 and has been sat on the fence about it, honestly, just do it, it will be the best thing you could do for your dog and your relationship with your dog. We sent our Husky x Akita, Odin, here for a 9 day stay to work on his heel work, recall, general manners and reactivity to dogs. We have had him home for just over a week now, and the change in his behaviour overall has been astonishing, he is much calmer, he doesn't jump up at us out of excitement anymore, and when he does start to get excited, we now have the tools to manage it in a way that works for us and that Odin understands. He walks beautifully on his lead to heel and never tries to leave our side, it would be easy to forget we are actually holding his lead as he rarely pulls even the slightest bit now, his over all focus has improved massively, and we can't thank his trainer, Danny, and the rest of the ADK9 staff enough for the hard work they put in. If we ever needed to go anywhere that we couldn't bring Odin with us, ADK9 would definitely be our first choice for Boarding.

One of the best decisions we have ever…
One of the best decisions we have ever made for our rescue dog Mia. Jess was attentive from the moment we arrived and had Mia sussed out within a few days. Lots of updates and progress reports. Now she's home, she is alot more relaxed overall and on walks, so much more improved when near other dogs. thank you

The marvellous ADK9.
It has been a few months now since my girl Skye, attended the wonderful ADK9. She came to me as a 2 year old, her previous owner had taught to chase cats and was able to walk past another dog without wanting to chase.
After two week training with her trainer, the fabulous Shelby, Skye was a changed dog and wonder, she walked at heal and mixed with dogs and was a pleasure to take out in general public. Shelby taught me how to maintain Skye's training and what to do when she didn't listen. Though we have had a couple of backward steps, my fault, Skye has improved over the months, she now walks at heal with no lead at all and I can take her anywhere without worrying.
I would highly recommend ADK9 for anyone having problems with their dogs. Skye is happier and more confident with the added bonus I now take her pretty much everywhere with me instead of leaving her at home. Thank you Shelby your are a wonder. Karen and Skye. xxx

We collected our pocket rocket Ralph…
We collected our pocket rocket Ralph today after 14days of being AD9K.
We left our over excited patterdale terrier who was reactive to dogs, he lunged and barked on the lead, he was a complete nightmare to walk and it was becoming a big problem. We collected him today and the transformation was incredible, far better than we could have ever wished for. His trainer Danny kept us updated with progress photos and videos. Danny spent over an hour and a half with me today showing me how to continue with the hard work him and Ralph have put in.
We look forward to continuing to work with Ralph going forward and are so grateful to Danny for all his hard work and commitment - he’s truly worked some magic ! We can’t thank you enough 🐶

Thank you Danny
We cannot thank Harley's trainer, Danny enough for the miracle he has worked with our over excited rottweiler. Although she loved people, she had a problem with mouthing, lunging for cars/cats/anything and her pulling was so bad we couldn't take her anywhere remotely busy. We were worried about leaving her for 10 days but as soon as we arrived, Danny put us at ease and we had complete confidence that Harley's behaviour would improve and that she would be taken care of. We were kept up to date with photos, videos and emails which was great! When we picked her up, we were amazed at how far she had come. Danny went through all of her training with us thoroughly which was really amazing for us and we left feeling confident we can keep up his excellent work. We've had her back for two days now and although she does try to test us, she goes straight back into heel and she feels like a new dog. We've already taken her on walks in busy areas and she walked incredibly. We've recommended ADK9 to our friends for their dogs. It was the best money we've spent, 100%. Again, thank you Danny for taming our wild child and taking such good care of her! - Olivia & Alex

Fantastic Service
I picked up my GSD Bailey on Tuesday 24-11-2020. I wanted to have him home for a couple of days to see how his behaviour had changed. His behaviour problems when we left him was pulling on the lead, he wouldn't recall and he would always react to dogs. When we arrived to pick Bailey I was absolutely thrilled with the progress Bailey had made. Danny his trainer has done a fantastic job with Bailey. He no longer pulls on the lead when walking, He always recalls and when passing other dogs he no longer reacts. My son jokes, saying its a different dog his behaviour has improved so much. Upon picking Bailey up Danny spent nearly 2 hours with us showing the techniques needed to be used, and he made it really simple for us and explained why Bailey was reacting the way he was. He is a fantastic trainer and has made things so easy for us. Thank you Danny and ADK9 you have made taking Bailey out on walks enjoyable again.
Kind Regards
Jill

We have a new dog! 😁
I can not recommended ADK9 enough for the amazing work they have done with our German Shepherd 'Jessie'.
We brought Jessie to ADK9 mainly because of her aggressive behaviour towards other dogs and her constant pulling on the lead. Jessie stayed for 2 weeks and the transformation was unbelievable. I cannot thank her trainer 'Danny' enough for amazing work he has done with Jessie and the additional time and care he put in to training her.
We now walk Jessie with a slack lead, no matter what pace we go at Jessie does not pull in any way. We have passed many dogs on walks since getting Jessie back from ADK9 and the aggressive behaviour has completely gone.
We have a much calmer, happier dog now thanks to Danny and the team.
Thank you so much!

I took my Clumber Spaniel
I took my Clumber Spaniel, Norman to ADK9 on the recommendation of a friend. He stayed 10 days to complete heel work and recall. His trainer Jess kept me updated throughout with texts and videos and was speedy in her reply to any questions I may have had whilst he was staying with her. Initially I was apprehensive about leaving him for such a long time, I need not have worried. He obviously had the time of his life! On collecting him Jess talked us through the commands used and showed us his new skills, she also spent time with us to ensure that we used the correct commands she used in training and were feeling confident.
What can I say, the results were amazing and far beyond what we were expecting. I was worried that Norman may lose his quirky personality during the training process, he did not. He remains the same dog but some how Jess managed to switch his ears on! He is now walking to heel, he would previously pull all the way creating an unhappy walk for both he and I. He is now a dream. Now and again he can get a little giddy and try his luck but using the commands Jess taught us he will quickly fall back into line quite easily. His recall is also so much better. I realise this training is about building a foundation for Norman and that it is really important to be consistent in the training and follow this at all times. I am so so pleased. For those who feel it is expensive, and there is no getting round this, but the rewards of a happy dog and owner to us has been well worth it. Thank you to Jess and all the others at ADK9 for the great work and good care you took of my little lad.

Picked up my Dachshund Peanut today…
Picked up my Dachshund Peanut today after 10 days of intensive training at ADK9. Before he went he was disobedient, had really bad separation anxiety and I couldn’t take him on a proper walk ever as he just didn’t listen to me and got distracted by everything. And now he is a completely different dog, he is so responsive, he walks perfectly on a lead, and is just so much more respectful and obedient. I can’t thank Jess (his trainer) enough for all the time and effort she has put into training Peanut, meanwhile keeping us updated the whole time he was with her. I would 100% recommend ADK9 to anyone. And again, Thankyou so much for turning Peanut into a new and improved version of himself.

Willow
Willow has just finished her stay with ADK9 and we're so grateful for the work they have put in with her. As a rescue she had issues with reactivity and was often really stressed on her lead. She's come back from training a much calmer dog who enjoys listening. We had plenty of updates and Danny has given her the confidence to trust a lead and walk without steam rollering along in panic! Alongside this he was very patient passing on the skills to us on the handover session. Walks are no longer stressful as she heels beautifully and she's much better when she notices other dogs as well. She fully ignores them and if she gets a bit anxious we now have the right skills to reassure her and help her move on. Thank you!

Excellent experience
We recently took our dog Wilfred to the Chesterfield branch where he was trained by Danny. Before his stay he was a very excitable dog, who would pull on his lead and not recall which did not make walks an enjoyable experience. I could not be happier with the result following his stay Wilfred is like a new dog, listens to commands, walks to heel and recalls when asked. We were updated on Wilfreds progress throughout his stay with emails and pictures. Cannot recommended this place and Danny enough, best money we have ever spent.
