Absolutely THE WORST ‘service’ I have ever experienced in my entire life and I am not being melodramatic.
I have REPEATEDLY notified them of persistent trolling on their forums. They completely ignore emails. I have REPEATEDLY stated I wish to log a formal complaint and every time they completely ignore that request (well over 20+ occasions). This is a breach of FCA regulations and they have been reported for those breaches.
Absolute cowboy company. DO NOT USE THEM.
ADVFN DDE application
Wondered why I could get the ADVFN DDE application to work on my machine so contacted support via chat, where Nicolo Moretti quickly diagnosed the problem as due to my lack of permissions and went on to politely advise me how to raise them.

Careful when subscribing to any of their subscriptions. Strangely they can set you up in minutes but for some reason, takes 30 days to unsubscribe you!? Their explanation......its in our T&C's. Read very carefully.

So I get this email from abuse team at advfn -
“We have been notified that you have posted messages on our bulletin boards that are in breach of Clause 11 of the ADVFN Registered User Agreement. These messages have now been removed.Please refrain from posting further messages of this type. A repeated breach of clause 11 may result in your account being permanently banned from using our boards”
Despite emailing back 3 times to ask advfn what are the messages they are referring to no one has had the decency to respond back and neither have Investor Relations. I can only conclude that advfn are in with the liars (shorters) on advfn that want stocks to suffer than be with honest investors. For a listed company very poor. I will now inform the FCA.
Horrific site
This is an amazing site, full of useful discussions and there’s no controlling of posts by brokers and investors, it’s a breath of fresh air and so much useful information that helps you make informed decisions shares it’s invaluable. The full full review was taken down by ADVFN and if you believe the above to be true your likely to loose all your money investing 😆😆😆 be aware and carry a wheelbarrow full of salt to digest the information
A joke of a financial website
For a financial website ADVFN is perhaps the worst in the UK. The free BB's are full of trolls who frankly must lose ADVFN any crediblity they have, which is low anyway. The BB's are not moderated so any idiot or conman can ramp, deramp, pump rubbish knowing they are not going to be removed by ADVFN support who I believe does not exist. Avoid at all costs!!

With that said, it recently under went management changes, hopefully certain features which as yet, have not been added via html, will, fingers crossed be come back on line as they were with java. If this happens then price wise it will knock the competition out of the water. I have always found their technical team and customer service operators to be competent.
The message boards are unmoderated
The message boards are unmoderated, but the torrent of profanity, swearing and abuse posted by some users is unbelievable.
The other problem is the vast number of fantasy share traders constantly claiming they've bought this or sold that and simply use the platform to try to ramp dud shares.
