Ordered a dish washer under 2 year…

Ordered a dish washer under 2 year warranty. 10 months in it stops working. Engineer comes round and says there is a hole in it causing the issue. Speak to AEG and they refuse to replace it under the warranty. It is fraudulent to not replace under an existing warranty for a faulty product after 10 months! These should last 10 years. Person we spoke to on the phone was extremely rude as well. Avoid this brand.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I paid extra for delivery, yet the item is late and the company provided no updates. I’ve had to do all the chasing myself just to find out where my order is. Non-existent communication and zero customer service. Avoid if you expect reliability.

3 weeks to wait for repair plus rusty water from a common faulty salt dispenser in 9000 series washing machine, horrendous customer service

I purchased a series 900 washing machine and have had problems with from the beginning. It has now been broken since 16th February. I had a repair completed 25th February new control panel fitted. I did one wash and it broke again, engineer came on 4th march and said control panel broke again, unsure of cause and would need to order a whole load of parts. Engineer is now booked for 9th March. On top of this I have a problem with the salt dispenser which has caused rusty water to corrode the front of machine. Contacted complaints and the lady was rude and said that this is not covered under warranty. I have a son with special needs that has night-time continence issues therefore I urgently need a working machine. 3 weeks to wait for a repair is an unacceptable timeframe. I have since found that the salt dispenser issue is a common fault, however this has also caused damage to my flooring. I am not a happy customer

A journey of anger and frustration.

I have been deliberating for over a week now, whether I should or shouldn't. I think it is important for all senior citizens to understand the problems I had with an arrogant, pedantic customer service rep....called Juliet!!

We bought our AEG appliances as a job lot with our new kitchen. Our kitchen supplier was on the 'preferred vendor' list so as well as getting a good deal we got cash back and a 5 Year warranty . We bought 5 appliances in total that in itself came to a hefty investment into AEG appliances. Allegedly they are German so that was ok with me.

Those appliances I could ( Fridge Freezer ,Oven, Combi Oven) I set up using the app to work remotely if needed. Important to note I am no IT expert , and of a mature age so it was hit and miss when trying to set the appliances. Initially I managed to set up all 3, then one day the main oven dropped out of communication. Tried everything to get comms back, alas to no avail. I booked a job for a repair .......... now here's where the story gets a bit murky!!.
Engineer arrived..... but he wasn't a tech
communications man, he was mechanical.....strike one! He advised to contact customer services via what's book/Face app etc etc, etc. I don't do these as I have no need, Im not an IT expert . I delayed until about a week ago when by some stroke of luck I managed to contact some guy on what's app, who again couldn't help, who again advised me to contact customer services. How do I do that,I didn't want to ring etc, he gave me an email address . Now emails I can just about manage as I'm an OAP and again, no IT expert.
I eventually ,via the chat got talking to Juliet. After what seemed ages and after explaining the issue and explaining again my little or no competence in IT skills etc we appeared to get to the root of the problem. Again important to note that the oven still worked it just didn't do what it said on the tin.
After being on the phone of an hour or so I was presented with the solution to my problem:

See below:

Good afternoon Philip,
Thank you for your reply.
In order for us to assist you further, could you kindly provide the following information:

(These can be found within the product menu; please note this may not be easily accessible on all models.)
Internet Service Provider (ISP) name
Wi‑Fi router model
Detailed description of the issue
A photo of the message or error displayed on the oven
Could you also provide the proof of purchase?
We kindly require the above information before we can proceed.
Kind regards,
Juliet

Wow I thought how am I going to do all that. I just don't understand it all. I also told the I don't understand GHZ and all that associated waffle. A degree in computing was needed to understand, no allowance has been made for individuals who have differing IT skills.

I tried to tell her that it is too complicated for me to understand,Im no expert Im an OAP,please can you help me. We have an oven that is just not functioning as it should be.

Her answer was simple, we have given you the solution now sort it.....any issues get back to us.

I found the reply extremely rude and unreasonable . It's almost as if they presented me with a solution that was too difficult for me so as to get rid of me. A certain amount arrogance accompanied her reply too.
I gave up in the end and file her response in the ' Too difficult to sort file'
I told them to forget it and left it at that. I wanted to make a stand for all who have differing It skills and all people of a mature nature. They cannot just disregard us and throw us on a heap......This what AEG did to me totally unhelpful throughout. Think twice before buying AEG please!

Washing Machine and matching Tumble Dryer

Great price, easy ordering and efficient delivery. Appliances look good, have been doing what they’re supposed to well, running nicely so far. At 6 months in, still bit early for meaningful opinion on reliability or longevity.

old fridge not taken

I bought a new fridge and payed for collection of the old one. I paid for this and then when the new fridge arrived the third party delivery team refused to take the old one so I am left with it in my hall. They offered a refund but all annoying as I wanted a company who would take the old one.

A shadow of the former AEG

This company appears to be a shadow of what it used to be. We've always had AEG appliances and they've served us well so we thought we would remain loyal to brand. Honestly 3 months of headache later, I am tired of giving them opportunities to redeem themselves. Two washing machines have been sent out to us and both of them have been sent damaged from AEG. Our first one arrived with a caved in case and within 2 months started to make a loud banging noise. Their engineer stated in was not repairable. As for its replacement, well the delivery company told us that it is damaged and can't be delivered.
Quality control and auditing appears to be non existent with AEG. How they let damaged goods leave their warehouse is beyond me.
I honestly cannot recommend them at all and will be taking my loyalty elsewhere. Maybe Haier or Hisense.

Appalling repair service

We're customers of the the AEG repair service for an out-of-warranty fault washing machine. Unfortunately this service has been appalling: Despite providing information to them using the Electrolux online portal, the first engineer turned up with no replacement parts, for what he said was a common issue. Drum needed replacing and we had to wait 2 weeks before they could return. The 2nd engineer turned up with a damaged replacement part... another two weeks goes by. Third visit, he replaced the drum but it didn't fix the issue. Another week goes by...4th visit lasted all of 20 minutes where the outcome was needing to order a different replacement part. The next visit is in 10 days time!! That'll be 5 visits, and NINE WEEKS since I first contacted AEG about the issue. Nine weeks without a washing machine.

POOR (non human) CUSTOMER SERVICE

Having regestered a product the user manual was not available to download as it should have been. You cannot access the manual unless the product is regestered. Tried phoning customer service ,told there was a one minute wait, waited 10 minutes and then tried the (non human) message service. Requested the manual 5 times ,each time to be met with the response," can I help you with anything else !!
Typed the word complaint into the next message and got a response from a human who after two attempts managed to send me the manual.
Rather than waste half an hour communicating with moronic robots AEG need to get human beings to deal with customers.

Janine in Capetown was very helpful

Janine in Capetown was very helpful - I provided some misleading information which she untangled to record a service call. She was patient, professional, helpful and delightful to deal with. The actual washing machine defect did not affect functionality. We were offered a perfectly acceptable slot with the opportunity to accept a cancellation slot, which we declined.

If You Enjoy Cooking Eggs in a Kettle, You’ll Love AEG.

I bought a brand new AEG double oven cooker with a four-ring hob before moving into my new home. It was delivered on 22nd November, and I moved in on 1st December after finishing renovations.

I barely even used it. December I was hardly home, January I spent mostly out with friends and travelling. I used the hob a few times to make eggs. That’s it.

Then one morning I decided to make pastry in the oven and cook breakfast — and the oven completely blew.

And that’s when the nightmare started.

For an entire week after reporting the issue, I was sent back and forth between Kingdom Appliances and AEG like a football. Kingdom told me to speak to AEG. AEG told me to speak to Kingdom. I spent hours on the phone over multiple days.

On top of that, I had a full week of written email exchanges where I had to “prove” that I purchased the appliance — despite already providing the serial number and product details. It honestly felt like a court case. If you opened my inbox, you would see a week-long chain of emails with them asking the same questions repeatedly: when did you buy it, where, how much, send proof again, confirm again.

After all that, they finally asked for my availability. I replied immediately that I am available on the 25th and 26th because I have no working oven and no proper way to cook food at home.

Then they emailed back saying “unfortunately” it is no longer possible for that week — and booked an engineer for the 4th of March, completely ignoring my availability.

So I am now living in my own home boiling eggs in a kettle because my brand new oven failed after barely any use.

For a premium brand, this level of service in the UK is honestly shocking. The lack of coordination, the delays, the constant repetition of the same questions, and zero urgency for a brand new appliance failure — I have not experienced lower service quality in the UK.

If you’re considering AEG, think carefully. Spend a little more and choose a brand that actually supports its customers.

Avoid the stress.

Just to clarify: I first reported the issue on the 17th of February.

Since then, an entire week has gone not toward solving the problem, but toward me having to prove repeatedly that I actually purchased the appliance — providing serial numbers, purchase details, confirmation emails — as if I were on trial rather than a customer with a brand new faulty oven.

And after all that, I was kindly booked in for the 4th of March.

Nothing more needs to be said.

AEG Product - failed in Mar 2025. Still Waiting for Refund.

3 April 2026 ***UPDATE***
No response. No refund. No Vacuum replacement.
---
In March 2025 I purchased an AEG CLEAN 5000 Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner AB51C1GG. In April 2025 I requested some support as the suction was not working. I was offered a collection which didnt happen. I was then offered a replacement of two parts and told I would be notified when a part was available. In September 2025 I was informed that one part would arrive (which is didn't) and the other part would be with me January 2026. I am not sure how a company thinks it would be acceptable for a Vacuum to be non-functioning for 6 months and accept a delay of another 4 months. JUST GIVE ME A REFUND! In November 2025 a refund was confirmed...it is now February 2026 and I have had no communication since then.

Please may I have a refund so I can ditch my dustpan and brush and purchase a functioning vacuum from another supplier. I decided to swap from Miele to AEG and this was a rookie error it seems.

the most incompetent company ever

the most incompetent company ever, just bizarre dysfunction at very turn. I get an email and all it says is a reference number and a phone number. You call the phone number and its the wrong department. after being on hold for twenty minutes, they give you a phone number of another company. this is all to get a working oven delivered. Its been a month since they delivered a non working one and a few days since they tried to replace it with incorrect model that's also wrong size. at every contact they are just clueless and aren't functioning in this century.

My experience with AEG has been…

Update: The machine was eventually replaced and is now working as it should. A big thank you to Nina from AEG, who took over my case and recognised that the machine needed replacing.

I have increased my rating from one star to three stars, as the issue was ultimately resolved. However, the process caused a great deal of unnecessary stress to obtain what I was legally entitled to.

My experience with AEG has been extremely disappointing and has raised serious concerns about product reliability and quality control.
I have already had four machines replaced back-to-back due to faults. After that history, I expected the latest AEG 8000 integrated washer dryer to finally provide the reliability associated with a premium brand. Unfortunately, I am once again facing major issues.
A recent repair attempt failed to resolve the original fault. An incorrect part was ordered, causing delay, and after hoses were removed and refitted during the visit, the machine began leaking from the area that had been worked on — something it had never done before. It is now displaying an EF0 anti-flood error and water has reached the floor, leaving the appliance completely unusable.
Given that this is an integrated appliance, removal, repair, and replacement are significantly more disruptive than a freestanding unit. After four prior replacements, encountering further faults and a repair that appears to have introduced a new issue is extremely concerning.
This repeated pattern of faults and disruption has seriously eroded my confidence in AEG’s quality control and reliability standards.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend AEG.

BUYER BEWARE - DELIVERY TAKES WEEKS AND AEG WILL NOT FIT YOUR EQUIPMENT EVEN WHEN PAID FOR

AEG did not provide the paid for installation service. They agreed that I could find an alternative fitter to pay an invoice for another installer to fit it. They were to the price of fitting and then told me where to send the invoice. Unfortunately AEG's sales manager received the invoice then refused to pay it. He said he would simply offer a good will gesture for a quarter of the price of the cost of installation. This is a highly dishonest company as they had every opportunity to tell me the maximum cost they would cover before agreeing that I could get my own installer to fit the equipment. Instead they changed their mind after the fact. BUYER BEWARE - DELIVERY TAKES WEEKS AND AEG WILL NOT FIT YOUR EQUIPMENT EVEN WHEN ITS BEEN PAID FOR.

AEG BRIDGE ZONE SAPHIRMATT - DO NOT BUY!!!!

We purchased an AEG BRIDGE ZONE SAPHIRMATT hob as it was sold to us by John Lewis as being highly scratch resistant. Our old induction hob wasn’t scratched and we sold it on, but as we were upgrading our kitchen we thought we would buy this smart new hob. Within weeks it has shadow marks on it which look unsightly and AEG are saying it’s cosmetic so the two year guarantee doesn’t cover it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, in fact given AEG’s customer care, I would not recommend anything from this company. Terrible product, terrible customer service, avoid!!!!

Very poor support

Very poor support. From their chat functions. Firstly not available the hours they state probably due to time zones, but not gmt. Then when you do asked or help, they palm you off on the installer. When this is something that the installer simply cannot do. Very lazy and very poor service.

Terrible "consumer" services.

I bought a tumble dryer in early 2025 which had to be connected to an app to use all the functions. Worked perfectly well and loved the machine until my wifi password changed. I have so far spent over a week trying to this resolved. Since it went to "consumer services" I have had around four emails asking me either the same questions or adding another question. They clearly don't know how to deal with the issue but seem incapable of simply passing it onto their technical team who should be able to resolve it. They also told me that they don't really have access to an email string! Moreover, they don't care about their awful customer service. Still unresolved except for my resolve never to buy from AEG again!
