I have been unable to register my AEG…
I have been unable to register my AEG washing machine on line. Does not recognise postcode. Rang AEG direct. The lady who tried to help stuggled to understand me. I struggled to understand her. I patiently spelt everything several times. There is a LOT of loud chatter in the background. Unfortunately my email was not understood. Do AEG make this process very difficult on purpose?? Unable to register my washing machine.
Super slow refund
Super slow refund, Poor customer service. I am still waiting for a refund from a purchase that was canceled on 28/01.
Bought washer from aeg website stating…
Bought washer from aeg website stating 5 year warranty, on confirmation invoice 5 year warranty. When I tried to register the washer they said it was 2 years warranty. The company was so unhelpful in ever respect don't trust them.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Having purchased a £2000 induction hob in 2023 it began to bring up error messages on a regular basis and would turn itself off. Having contacted customer services it took almost 2 weeks for an engineer to come who said it needed a part which he did not have so a further appointment would be needed. After 3 weeks of no part and being told it would be another 8 weeks before the part was in stock i spoke to a lovely gentleman who agreed this was not good enough and as my current hob was out of stock he would arrange for the newer model to be installed with no additional cost. Another 2 weeks went by and apparently i should not have been told i would receive an upgraded hob and i have to wait for my current one to come back in stock. I have now been told this hob is still not in stock and all now get is future possible stock dates without any confirmation that it is actually going to arrive never mind be installed. In short stay away from AEG appliances as they are simply not worth the high price you pay and their after sales srrvice is atrocious.
Didn’t deliver my appliance
Didn’t deliver my appliance, have now been waiting over a month for a refund. 4 calls later, still nothing, every time I call I’m told it’s just been processed, wait 5-7 working days! Shockingly poor customer service.
Cooker not up to standard expected
Hob looks like I've had the cooker for ten years already. Discoloration, uneven grates so pan tilts on right hand side, poor paint work inside the oven door. Cheap knobs - disappointing quality. Not worth the cost.
Complained to customer service a week after getting the cooker because everything on the hob looked so bad and was told it wasn't included in the warranty.
Would not recommend.
Poor warranty
AGB728E5NB upright freezer
Bought matching fridge and freezer at same time but will not go into the fridge problems this review is regarding the freezer, on the 19/01/26 a shard of plastic dropped from the handle as door was opened, couldn't see at this point where from, next opening the handle came away from the freezer at the bottom so got InTouch with aeg through the online repair system on the 21/01/26 the booking for repair was 26/01/26 my birthday 🎈,has it got later in the day I rang them to see why they have not been and the answer was the repair has been cancelled and transferred me straight to parts supplier where could buy parts,so bare in mind this was 25 days out of warranty on an expensive item with an average door handle open of 5 time per week, do the maths, will be pursuing them under consumer rights act 2015, honest review do not buy from aeg as when problems start they will drop you like a stone
AEG - Excellent product
After receiving delivery of an AEG dishwasher (model FSE84607P), I discovered a fault caused by delivery damage. AEG replaced the appliance. This was the only issuewe’ve experienced in more than 56 years of using many AEG products including washing machine, which speaks volumes about their reliability. All family using AEG. The latest purchase was to replace Bosch dishwasher already here when the house was purchased. The replacement dishwasher is performing excellently, and we are very pleased with its quality, functionality, and overall performance, exactly what we expect from such a reputable manufacturer.
Well done, AEG. Keep up the great work for many years to come.
Stupidly updated and Compromised Safety
Purchased AEG Ceramic Hob HRX64360C from Appliances Direct to replace 14yr old almost identical also AEG one so as to fit into existing cut out in ceramic work top.
Arrived next day and quality is on par with last 2 AEG hobs which both lasted > 12yrs...GREAT!.....BUT:
1. The residual heat indication is not what it says. It is just a timer which shows the "H" for a short period after an element is switched off. If you completely remove power, e.g. After a power-cut/dip or switch it off at the wall when any zone is on or "H" then the residual heat indicators don't work! even if the zones were red hot.
2. BIG PROBLEM!. Like a lot of things these days AEG have decided to add unnecessary features just for the sake of it and to up the price. This hob has a feature called "Automatic Heat Up" WHICH IS ON BY DEFAULT!. It works by ALWAYS turning the zone up to FULL POWER just 3secs after you have turned it on from cold. This means that the zone is "continuous full on" for a time determined by somebody at AEG of questionable intelligence. The duration of "full power" is proportional to the initial level set. I have timed the duration just for levels 1-4 for all rings and the "FULL POWER" is on for approx 1min, 1.5min,4.6min and 6min respectively. At level 3: 4.6 min at full power is more than sufficient to boil 1 litre of cold water so is capable of burning anything other than just water (e.g. milk, soup, sauce) in the pan or igniting a frying pan with a thin layer of cooking oil in it. I dread to think what the "Automatic Heat Up" time is for level 8.
The "Automatic Heat Up" can only be disabled by pressing the elements up/down buttons AFTER 3 seconds when the "A" is showing. So you have to remember to press one of the up/down buttons again after 3 secs in order to bypass the "Automatic Heat Up" and stop the hob burning your house down. If you have a pan completely covering the ring (which you should have) or you are in a hurry it will not be obvious the element is permanently on full power for an extended period."
3. Another bewildering feature: There are a actually 17 heating levels for each element as pressing the up/down levels changes the level by 0.5 and a dot appears next to the level indicator e.g "4." (with a dot) is level 4.5. So to get to level "4" you have to go "0"->"1"->"1."->"2"->"2."->"3"->"3."->"4" then wait 3 seconds until "A" appears then press the up/down button to cancel the "Automatic Heat Up". that is 7 + 1=8 presses whereas it was just 4 on the previous hob.
4. Totally useless Oval Dual Element, whoever dreamed this up is from another planet where oval pans are the norm. Only oval thing we have is a rarely used Cast Iron Casserole Dish which goes in the oven not on the hob.
5.Next comes "Pause","U", "lock" and 'timer'. I haven't bothered to investigate them...just sent it back to where it came from!.
Dreadful after sales
Dreadful after sales, we purchased 7 AEG appliances for our new kitchen spent thousands, the oven came with a broken hinge on the door you have to manually push it down every time you use it, got through to AEG after an hour on chat they keep
Going away for 15 mins at a time 20 mins at
One point probably on purpose so you disappear, finally got through answering a load of questions over and over again probably so you get fed and go, finally booked an engineer to come out, I stayed in all day from 8.30am - 5.30 like they said l, but no engineer came no phone call from anyone, also the freezer we bought , the draw snapped at the corner all I did was close it, and no nothing was obstructing it they said we would have to pay for a new one it’s not under warranty, you would think out of courtesy thy would send one free for messing us around and spending an absolute fortune with them, they have no respect for customers after sales, in 35 years I have had no problem with kitchen appliances I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing, I will be contacting the place we bought our kitchen from who sells these appliances, and still no one has got back in touch to arrange the oven door to be fixed
£1800 fridge didn’t last 5 years
We spent £1800 on an American fridge feezer 5 years ago. An error code appeared a little while ago and after 5 visits from the repair team we have been told it can’t be fixed because the broken part is not accessible. Just out of warranty and the retailer is not interested in helping us either leaving us with £1800 worth of scrap. U expect a luxury appliance like this to last 20 years not 5. We will never buy AEG again
Appaling after-care
Ordered a (rather expensive) replacement filter for my cooker hood. Unlike most other companies, they take payment immediately not on dispatch
I received an order acknowledgement with a 'promised' delivery date. That date came and went, so I messaged the Spares Department to be told that don't 'promise' delivery dates and that the item is on 'back order'.
I explained the paperwork did indeed say 'promised', and asked when I should expect delivery. 'I have no idea' said the agent, and offered to cancel the order (which I refused as the part could not be obtained elsewhere). A fortnight later, still no news - yet they have my money!
This is stunningly poor Customer Service for a supposed premium brand (thought in reality just Electrolux with a different logo).
Have they never heard of keeping the customer informed?
What a SCAM.

Got a brand new AEG dishwasher from them and it only works for a few weeks. After 3 hours on the phone with them, they arranged engineers to come after a week just to not know what cause the issues and ask us not to use it again as he forgot to bring important parts and that part will need to be order. The engineer said he would come the same day next week but we waited and no one came. Tried to call them for 4 hours after 10 days from the previous appointment just to know that there is no time limit for the wait and we asked to have replacement but refused as they have to know the cause and try to fix it before they could issue the replacement but there is no limit on how long we should wait. Try to ask for replace but one person passing to another and all they can say is sorry. Wasted all the money and now can’t get it back. This is a scam so everyone should avoid.
Really good brand
Really good brand. I can only recommend every product from that brand; I just love it.
Harassing behaviour!
I don't want to give even 1 star after the harrowing experience I've had with AEG UK regarding my tumble dryer repair.
For the last 4–5 months, the machine has not worked properly. A single load takes hours to dry, and my energy bills have increased significantly as a result. During this time, the company has repeatedly sent engineers to inspect and repair it. Engineers visit are also carried out on a fixed day, just once a week. Every possible repair has already been carried out. The engineers themselves have openly admitted that there is nothing more they can fix and have expressed their own frustration.
Yet instead of taking responsibility and offering a replacement or proper resolution, the company continues to hide behind repeated engineer visits. This endless cycle of appointments feels like a deliberate tactic to avoid resolving the issue within my warranty time.
This has cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress. After months of inconvenience and inflated electricity bills, I expect accountability — not delay after delay.
Customers deserve solutions, not excuses.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, do not buy from them. Delivery partner kaboodle even worse. Run away from companies like this.
Better communication needed!
Paid for a repair, it wasn't cheap and when the engineer came they did nothing. Very poor communication by the AEG worker who obviously had no idea what he was doing. When I contacted them, put me on hold for 25 minutes then hung up. Spoke to another person, on hold for another 5 mins. Not at all happy with their service.
Poor quality product and even worse customer service
We chose AEG believing it was a high-quality, reliable brand. Unfortunately, our tumble dryer (just over 12 months old) has suffered multiple internal faults, including component failure, and has required repeated repairs.
We’ve been without a working dryer for over a month during the coldest part of the year, taken annual leave to wait in for engineers, and today the repair failed again because the engineer arrived without the correct parts.
Despite all of this, AEG continue to refuse a replacement and insist on repeated repairs only. This level of inconvenience and lack of accountability is unacceptable and has left us with no confidence in the appliance or the brand.
Third no show for repairs
Further to my previous two reviews, the third repair was booked and cancelled on the day because there were 'no parts.' This is all for the same job.
Have nothing to do with this company. Avoid it in favour of absolutely any competitor. Do not repeat my mistake. Save yourself from AEG.
AEG fridge- poor quality customer care
A fridge.
Paid £500 august 2025.
Handle broke January 2026.
Phoned AEG.
AEG informed me that consumer rights do not cover things that break (??) and that their policy over rides legal consumer rights(??)
If an AEG fridge handle only lasts 6 months under normal/light use then this is a poor product.
A shame as the fridge works well albeit it might stop working within a few months if the handle is an indicator of their care and ability.
