I rated the platform 3 stars but if…

I rated the platform 3 stars but if there was a half a star option it would have been 3 and half for sure, here is why:
The projects are accessible to everyone after completing the assessments, but they lack tasks and variety
- the support and updates are not cooperative at all, you can't be fully satisfied by the experience of updates and announcements.
- payment updates are vague in some projects , you can't know the schedule of reviewing tasks as they may take more than two weeks after submission and still not reviewed!
If the all mentioned issues were solved and improved this company will be so promising in the field of Ai training.

It's a very good platform but it's takes forever for you to get a task to work on I've only worked on one project so far and despite submitting a lot of applications I've still not gotten any feedback
I'm giving this a one star

Afterquery is willing to be a good platform but I feel they are not putting all it takes to becoming what they want to be. Projects forever before you can get one and don’t even last up to 24 hours after they are out

Real work, real clients, but the payment model puts all the risk on the reviewer

I completed close to 60 scientific paper reviews on a rubric-auditing project. I was paid for 2.

The core issue is that acceptance criteria were never disclosed during onboarding. We were told this was to prevent gaming of the metric, which I understand in principle — but the practical effect is that you complete dozens of hours of work with no way to know the standard you're being measured against and no feedback loop to correct course.

Submissions were filtered by an automated screening system. When I asked why so many of my reviews were rejected, I was told the system flags behaviors like submitting shortly after opening a task or pasting content into the tool rather than typing it in. That explanation came after the fact. If those are payment-eligibility conditions, they belong in onboarding documentation, not in a message sent once the project is already over. Reviewers who prepare their analysis carefully offline — which is normal practice for serious paper review — have no way of knowing they are disqualifying themselves.

The automated auditor itself was unreliable. Reviewers on the project repeatedly encountered auditor flags that were factually wrong about the papers, and the tooling did not allow mischaracterized rubric items to be corrected — only reweighted. This was raised internally and acknowledged. Rejections from that system came with no appeal route.

Of my ~60 reviews, 9 were ever surfaced to me: 2 accepted, 7 returned for revision. I was never able to submit those 7 revisions. The project went silent for roughly two months, then was terminated. Work that the reviewers themselves judged worth fixing was simply discarded.

Pros: genuine frontier-lab work, intellectually substantial, well-funded company, responsive when issues are raised in channel.

Cons: undisclosed acceptance criteria, unreliable automated rejection with no appeal, no feedback on rejected work, abrupt project termination with pending revisions stranded, and a compensation model where you carry the full cost of work that may never be paid.

If you take on work here, assume anything you produce may go uncompensated and price your time accordingly.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with…

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Afterquary – A Waste of Time and Effort
I strongly advise freelancers to be cautious before investing their time in the Afterquary project. Here is my honest feedback:
No Evaluations/Feedback: Tasks are left unreviewed indefinitely without any status updates or feedback provided.
Unpaid Work: Despite spending long hours of dedicated work and effort, earned payments are not being processed or credited.
Lack of Tasks & No Notifications: New tasks are extremely rare. Even worse, when tasks are finally available, no notifications or alerts are sent—unlike other professional platforms that notify contributors immediately. You are forced to manually refresh the page constantly or risk missing out.
Widespread Frustration: The entire contributor community is complaining about the exact same issues, and most people are abandoning the project due to a complete lack of transparency.
Until they fix their review workflow, payment system, and notification process, I do not recommend wasting your time here.

about long assessment review that has been a main challenge also unreviewed applications which have almost finish 2months without any feedback and lack of active project .if you could give us updates on what time projects appear we will appreciate that as it will help us know how fast we need to finish our projects before they dissappear .Aside from that the experience here has been great.

Afterquery review

I will give the platform 3 stars. They are good at paying, I have received exactly what they have promised to pay and they money appears on my bank account in less than 24 hrs. The only problem is that it takes long to verify the project done. I did a project 40 days ago, and my submissions are still being reviewed.

God bless AfterQuery

I bless the day I received an email from AfterQuery. As a software engineer living in Nigeria, most AI platforms are inaccessible for work but AfterQuery changed that. I was onboarded smoothly, filled in my bank details and starting working on one project then. Payment came in smoothly, even though, I had doubts at first. One thing I love about the platform is that they usually keep to their words regarding payment and job availability.

Sometimes the money I make in a month is enough to keep me going for 3 months. Though the projects are not steady, nonetheless, there is usually something to be done most times.

AfterQuery is changing lives. And I'm happy to be one of their experts.
