To rebut the response AGS posted on this thread: I was not asked to pay the bill until just before Christmas. The bill has been paid in full at this time. AGS sent me an email apologizing for "unavoidable" issues in this move. There was nothing unavoidable. They low-balled the estimate to get my belongings, then increased the bill by nearly a third. They refused to tell me where my belongings were, even going to far as to tell me they had been taken to Kobe. Avoid this company.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company! Dispite the lovely website claiming to guide you through the whole process, this is definately not the case. I asked for my goods to be sent in a shared container and was not informed that it hadn't been, so in fact the quote they sent was fraudulent from the start. I am now incurring even more charges in Australia due to the way it was sent, on top of the original charges for a single container. Now looking to sue! Terrible company and not transparent at all! Do not use!

WORST MOVER EVER - DO NOT USE
Following a move from Hong Kong to France with AGS, I have been battling with the claim department for over 1 year now to obtain settlement on damages due to the move.
AGS has been reluctant since the beginning and has been trying to avoid any payment for the insurance claim I filed. First they started minimizing the cost despite insuring specifically all items with the replacement value.
I then submitted quotations to justify the cost of repair or replacement. After a few months chasing them, AGS appointed an expert who corroborated the repair cost in its official report and even increase the cost of the repair. Initially AGS was offering me 2000 USD for the entire claim. After they appointed an expert, the cost climbed up to 8000 USD.
AGS then refused to pay for the transportation of the furniture for the repairs to take place. After many months of back and forth and insistence, they finally caved. I then decided to accept the offer made.
It s been now over 2 months and no payment has been ever received despite weekly call and email.
THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS LOCATED IN CAPE TOWN, South Africa despite my move being from Hong Kong to France.
It s near impossible to get someone on the phone and emails are not being replied to.
I STRONGLY ADVISE TO NOT USE AGS AS A MOVER UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE A MAJOR HEADACHE.
My sofa and other furniture have been in storage for over a year waiting for repairs. So in addition of waiting for the payment, I also have to pay storage cost before I can get them fixed.

Damaged and Missing Items and No Response/Responsibility
Missing items, unpaid insurance claim for over a year, damaged furniture, non delivery of bedroom furniture so I had to stay overnight in a hotel....How much more incompetent can a self proclaimed highly professional international moving company be?? How much more out of pocket expenses should I pay for an expensive move?
I have waited over a year for my insurance claim and sent countless emails and calls. Zero response apart from the French office that needs to liaise with the UK office because they have no record of my file.
I have moved internationally 7 times with Crown, Sterling and Cadogan Tate. Never have I experienced such sloppy and callous service.
I filed a complaint on 20 April (scroll down) and finally got results due to revenge review. I am writing this review to voice the truth--AGS will respond to negative reviews and if you are affiliated with a big corporation or embassy.
My move was a civilian move with no corporate affiliation, so therefore I have been treated like a second class citizen, begging for my claims and goods.

AGS Arusha Tanzania quoted a price which we agreed for our move from Moshi, Tanzania to Uzbekistan. They then reviewed the price and increased the quote by $10,000. AGS has also done this to two other families closer to their move date. Causing alot of distress. Obviously we did not use this company.
