I had to replace a faulty Fire Angel smoke alarm in a property. I opted for the Aico Ei146E which is pricier than the Fire Angel; this is outweighed by the superior design and reliability of the Aico.... See more

Contacted them asking if their were remote access settings to turning off the audio and optical features. Turns out that can't be done and the alarms can easily be compromised. Also one of the representatives had said the data collected can be transmitted at the touch of a button but didn't say where? Surely this is a breach of some kind if your giving an optical and a audio device that can't be controlled. At the very least you should be able to disable some features.

I have fitted aico rf alarms to my own home and my two daughters home ( I am 74 ) once I read instructions ( twice lol ) they were easy to code, then fit the base plate to ceiling, the press to do a test, took aprox 30 minutes per house...one issue I changed small rawlplug for plasterboard plugs ( they are cone shaped and have there own self drilling thread ( so no pre-drilling neccisary )
Excellent service !
As an elderly homeowner I called for advice on battery powered smoke detectors etc.
What sounded like a young female member of staff was so helpful. She answered all my questions with obviously excellent knowledge and gave me all the code numbers for the products.
Great service and a huge thank you.
