Course unfit for purpose.
In March I completed an online level 3 counselling course with the Aims group. This involved a lot of time, effort and hard work, not to mention a£650 course fee.
However, when I interviewed at a local college for level 4, I found the course had not provided the necessary skills described.
Focusing only on the academic aspect, and providing no practical skills it left me completely unprepared for progression.
When I complained to the the Aims group it quickly became apparent they were aware of the courses shortcomings. They told me I should have checked with the college first, to see if the course was adequate for their criteria.
I would recommend that anyone takes great care before committing themselves to online courses.
