Ridiculous hold times.

Ridiculous hold times.
Claim a flight can take a dog in baggage and then they change their mind last minute over and over. Not sure why they do this constantly. This time is not an anomaly. They did it 5 months ago twice for the same trip, changing my travel date by weeks last minute! Unforseen circumstances is understandable. But 3 times in less than 6 months on 2 different trips is not understandable. They would be much better off showing a bit of respect for their passengers time by offering fewer flights for the pets and then actually making an effort to respect those reservations. They don't even provide compensation for the inconveniences and additional costs the travelers incur due to their last minute changes that move their travel dates weeks out. I guess they presume that it is acceptable for people to make a choice to not bring their pet home with them.
Horrible service.

Pourri, service à la clientèle inexistant, attention, arnaqueurs!

"I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with the way Transat has handled my claim. To date, two months have passed since my trip, and I have not received any updates or resolutions to my issue.

The customer service I have experienced so far falls far short of my expectations.

My goal is to draw attention to the issues we have encountered while hoping to encourage a significant improvement in their abysmal service. I also want to emphasize that their customer service is non-existent by phone, and reaching them is impossible.

I wish good luck to anyone who may face issues with Transat.

Had a good experience

I didn't have any problem with my flight from Cancun to Toronto. Company offers a cheap but ok service. I didn't have to good through customer service which is certainly another experience.

No customer service here

I booked a package for a wedding, and the date had to change. Can you believe me when I say once you book on Air Transat that’s a wrap. There’s no customer service at all after they take your money. All I wanted to do was change my date of departure, since I was told upon booking that I can make those changes online hassle free with a fee. The time is here and editing my itinerary or canceling it was non existent for me. I waited HALF THE DAY called 2 different 1800 numbers and got to speak to NOONE! these guys should be ashamed - if I can upload my chat history here I will, just to prove to you that I caught them lieing to me 5 times in that one chat. HORRIBLE!

Review Air Transat

I would like to write a review about AirTransat. This is the worst carrier we have ever encountered. We checked into a hotel that does not at all correspond to the description, where there are a lot of insects even in the bed, the smell of chemicals after disinfection, terrible food with flies on it and dirt in the rooms. When we asked to be moved to another hotel, no one helped us, they just started sending us from one part of the hotel to another and shifting responsibility. This is just a ruined vacation, which cannot be called a vacation. Besides, this is a honeymoon that was completely ruined for us.

Travelled from Rome to Toronto on…

Travelled from Rome to Toronto on Tuesday Aug. 12th - paid for priority service and paid for my seats. As I was checking in I noticed they changed my PAID aisle seat to a middle seat??? I advised the checkin there was a problem as I had PAID and booked an aisle seat. They then advised me they had a right to change seats??? So why would I pay for a seat and reserve it and yet Transat has the right to not honour?? I was advised if I didn't like the policy use another airline. Also paid went for the Priority Plus - which was to include snacks and wine (did not receive) No inflight entertainment as the wifi was down it was a long 10 hour flight. Enough said..avoid avoid

Pleasant staff; poor facilities

I recently flew to Canada using Air Transat. Starting with the positives, staff were pleasant and polite and the food was decent; slightly salty but reasonably filling and tasty. On the way out, I had a seat by the emergency exit which had plenty of leg room.

On the less positive side, seats on my return flight were extremely cramped and uncomfortable and the flight was freezing with super cold air pumped continuously through the flight; I was surprised at the lack of individual controls for this. There was no soap in the toilet I used - surely a basic requirement - and this was not addressed despite raising it with a stewardess.

I was also surprised by the lack of screens or even headphones which I have never come across before on a long haul flight; since this is very unusual, it would have been good if this could have been communicated beforehand. Frustratingly, the entertainment system did not work at all on the way out and would only work on my phone on the way back. The stewardess explained that I needed to go to an alternative website than the main website; again, this could have been better communicated.

All in all, a surprising lack of facilities for a flight which, whilst not expensive, did not fall into the budget category either. I would recommend trying a different carrier.

Club Class no internal entertainment

Flew Club Class Gatwick-Toronto return flights. Good food and Stewards. No Internal entertainment and the USB ports to power our devices were out of order. Couldn’t log onto to the Air Transit site via our devices to use the entertainment service anyway, it just kept messaging Not Connected. Not the sort of experience you’d expect travelling club/business class.

Worst Airline Customer Service

Following an issue at the airport with not having an ETA I was rejected from flying and has completely lost the cost of this flight due to lack of kindness and patience in the process, as well as a lack of fair guidance and fair policies to support the passenger journey. In addition , I was and just to make things worse, the flight was delayed and there could have been a few more minutes of flexibility to get me onto the flight, I am appalled at the behavior and policies.

For the staff it was a simple no, for me it was lost time, money as well as business. Staff members didn’t consider that it does take time sometimes to get to the airport and mistakes happen, this loss of business was significant as meetings had to be changed or cancelled and half a day was even lost just going back and forth to the airport.

Horrible horrible company!

Horrible horrible company!
Because of them I haven’t eaten properly for 10 HOURS!!! My seat was in the end of the plane and when it was my turn to get food, turned out there is no more chicken option available, only disgusting vegetarian pasta which I can’t eat because of my dietary restrictions. So I had to stay hungry for 10 hours, thanks god I had some almonds with me but It didn’t really save me. In the end of the flight they also gave some disgusting vegan bread that I couldn’t eat as well. Does this company serve anything except BREAD?
And this is just the top of the iceberg, the plane was completely full, seats are super uncomfortable, the annoying baby was screaming literally the whole flight. And half of the stuff was rude.
If you have an option DON’T fly with them!

Hell-NO if you're going to Cuba

Idk how is for other countries but destination to Cuba booking through Airtransat I would say HELL NO. The disrespect and lack of information and lack of customer consideration and much more exploration to Cubans who are trying to bring any type of essentials to their families it's beyond words. They decide what day they allow a second luggage even though you have to pay with no notification because I checked and no email was sent to me. The flight attendance didn't want to provide their names (I wonder why) but this happened today August 14, 2023 to my 65 years old mom who her second luggage was food to be able to survive for a while but because of the lack of communication from the airline about the second luggage not allow my mother couldn't take her essentials. Hope AirTransat CEO's mother is in good health!! btw this is second time I have an issue with my mom's luggage on this airline and the mistreatment from the flight attendance. Lesson learned, hope you don't have to go through this. PS: the flight it suppose to leave at 2:15 pm and still in the airport it's 3:51pm now. But the most important thing is that corporate and investors in this airline are still getting a big cheque every month.

I had a trip to Canada

I had a trip to Canada, currently I live in Spain, I had my flight to Canada through air transat, it was fine, nothing happened. But when I was coming back, my flight was cancelled, they put us in a hotel at about the same time I would be getting on the plane. I waited 12 hours (flight was scheduled at 11:05 pm EST) to find out that my flight was cancelled. They put my boyfriend and I in a hotel room, without telling me even approximately when my flight would be. I looked at their policy regarding all of this, and found out that they might compensate me if my flight is delayed long enough (between 3 and 9 hours). Well, the next day comes and at around 3 pm, I find out it will be delayed another 5 hours, because the new flight was scheduled for 8:05 pm. In total, this company delayed me by 21 hours, forced my boyfriend, who wanted to see my off to my flight, to sleep in the airport waiting for a ride, and to stay in the airport for about 36 hours. They then informed me, that because the plane had a problem with a "hydrologic leak," that a compensation was not necessary. Never mind the fact that I saw several air transat planes, that they could have brought something in sooner, or something, and had me out that same night, no, delay me by 21 hours instead, mess up my plans with my family to pick me up, mess up my boyfriend's plans to get back home, and then after saying it was in your control, say that you just won't be taking responsibility.

We had a horrible experience with Transat (flight TS2513 Samana -Toronto) on august 10, 2023. The crew was extremely rude and aggressive and allowed themselves to scream at passengers. Their attitude was below allowed limit and showed lack of professionalism

Toronto to Rome

Toronto to Rome. June 2023. Showed up at airport to a wonderful surprise that 2 of 4 tickets were cancelled. Had to buy 2 one way tickets. Lucky that original tickets were done through Expedia as they refunded the two one way tickets. Neither Expedia or myself could ever speak to a person from Air Terrible. They unsuccessfully tried to ruin a great family trip. Also, no inflight entertainment.

DI NOT FLY AIR TRANSAT

Very disappointed in Air Transat and their customer service. We had a flight scheduled from Toronto to Rome on July 7. After sitting and waiting to board for over an hour after our departure time, staff came out to say "You won't be going to Rome tonight." With no heads up, no explanation, no expected rescheduled time. We were told to "keep an eye on our email" for a rescheduled flight time. We didn't know if this meant the next morning, afternoon or night. We were only given a $10 and $15 food voucher (which in this economy barely covers the minimum), for which ended up being over a 24hr delay.

I have now been denied any and all compensation for this delay. No refund for extra food costs, our missed hotel night in Rome, our missed Roman Colosseum tour, the day and a half cut out of our 2 week trip, NOTHING.

After receiving the denied request email, I tried calling customer service. After explaining my situation to someone, they told me I have to send an email and someone would call me back. I said, I did send an email and would like to speak to a manager. The service rep then, without saying anything, hung up on me!

I do not recommend Air Transat at all. Their customer service was horrible, inconvenient and ruined the beginning of our vacation.

Don't purchase Option Plus - choose them for short flights only

The staff on board were lovely. Did their best for what they had. I have used them for shorter flights 4 hours multiple times no issues and would use them again for short flights. This trip was Toronto to Rome and return. Ordered Option plus - not worth it. Planes changed multiple times each time it changed I had to call in to make sure I had the seats I wanted as they just reassign seats if you don't. On the way back from to Toronto changed my isle seat to a middle. Only my seat changed not my husbands even though I made the booking? Did this at the gate and said they couldn't change it. I have nerve damage so I need an isle seat to stand up. I had to go up to stand by bathroom for hour or so because my isle seat had a larger gentleman with knee issues. So even though you pay for selection of seat you don't get it. No entertainment for either direction, no ice, no soap for bathrooms (they put gel antiseptic to cover) electrical plugs don't work, changed plane going to Rome to a European co. so pack your adapter in your carry on - did not inform of that change, - should not advertise they provide these things and don't. Broken taped up cabinets in bathrooms. Offering me the ear buds that are included with option plus when you don't have entertainment to use them on? Pack water bottles and fill at airport. Limited water in very small cups. I shared mine with a family behind me as they asked and it was almost an hour before they came with water. Corporate not doing their job they need to so that the staff on board can. Just because I am an economy seat doesn't mean I don't deserve soap, the seat I paid for, ice?, adequate air flow(our section very hot), charging plugs that work, water and entertainment. As advertised! This company is NOT equipped or set up for longer International flights.

Worst Airline

First when we went to checked in the person who was doing it was not giving as information she took so long just taking in her personal phone second when she was done dint bother to ask us anything gave us total diffrent seats from one side of the plane to other the other thing was no entertainment the worst is the food not cooked chicken worst food I ever ate.

I love the airline and thats the reason…

I love the airline and thats the reason I leave as 4 star despite my negative feedback. On. June 17, 2023, we flew from Montreal to Lisbon.
The service was so late that they only managed to turn off the light allowing passengers to sleep for one hour...hence we were quite jet lagged for two days. They had personnel but they were busy chatting!

One star is too generous- NIGHTMARE START TO FINISH!

One star is too generous. They deserve 0 stars. Besides their airplanes being terrible. their customer service is an absolute joke. they were hours late and screwed up my connecting then refused to change my flight, blamed me. the rudest agents EVER!
GOD FORBID something goes wrong because you will never speak to a customer service agent. I waited on chat for 4 HOURS NO REPLY. WAITED ONTHE PHONE TWICE FOR 30 MINS THEN 2 HOURS. STILL NO HUMAN. WHEN I OPENED THE CHAT AGAIN after 2 hour wait this idiot lady called LILO came on who refused to help in any way, would dissapear for 20 mins at a time between messages, then just ended the conversation and said "have a lovely day" without helping me change my flight or resolve my issue at all. THIS IS THE WORST AIRLINE IN EXISTENCE. say what you want about United, Air Canada or West Jet but AT LEAST you can actually get ahold of a human and not wait 4 hours to be ignored. the funniest thing is they call themselves "the best leisure airline" but clearly gave that title to themselves. they are irresponsible, rude, overpriced, unreliable and staffed by heartless, incompetent fools. Flying with them is a bigger mistake then starting smoking meth. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! THEY WILL SCREW UP YOUR FLIGHT AND DO NOTHING ABOUT IT BUT BLAME YOU! THATS **if** you manage to speak to a human after 5 hours on hold.
