Used this company for full packing and removal. The team had no respect for our property or contents. Failed to protect our furniture, mattresses and chattels.
Significant amount of scratches, chips and scuffs to most of our belongings, and damaged the entrance door of our old house and wooden flooring in our new house.
They literally “dumped” the contents into our new home in less than two hours as “they had a long drive back”.
We found a number of items left in the garage after they had gone rather than being placed into the house.
The Team Leader had a serious attitude and did nothing but complain. We felt very intimidated, compelled to give them a tip to avoid any unpleasant confrontation and relieved when they left the property.
The service we received bore no resemblance to the quotation provided.
We have reported all of this directly to them and were assured it would be investigated. Later, received a gift pack of flowers and biscuits.

The service was first class they were very careful courteous & respectful of our possessions would definitely recommend them to others

Great team, arrived on time, worked their socks off, nothing too much trouble, coordinated well, we enjoyed their banter!

This is the second time in less than 14 months that Alan Cook Britannia (Wymondham) has moved us and they didn't disappoint.
Ross the office based co-ordinator was professional, diligent and friendly. The price was fair and even though they had to charge a modest fuel surcharge after issuing the quote, this was only due to the Iran war issue arising and totally understandable.
The three man team who did our move over two days was friendly, professional and careful. They successfully moved my grand piano without incident!
We hope to eventually move for the final time within the next 12 months and I would have no hesitation in using Alan Cook again. Highly recommended.

Our moving men were SO polite and helpful, as that made the move more tolerable. They were careful with our furniture and house. When we got to our destination,( about 4 hours away ) and received our keys, they set to and moved us in, which made it a 1 day move instead of 2. Incredible hard working, moving men, thank you.

The estimator gave a clear summary of what was needed and would happen on the day. The office staff were helpful and in consistent contact. Our packer Chris was methodical and careful with all our items. The crew on removal day. Sam and Mark Marshall were exceptional. Fast, efficient and hard working with a great work ethic.

Keith, Shaun and Mark were amazing so friendly and helpful got all our stuff loading in no time at all. They were great with my children. I relocated so was a very emotional and stressful day made a lot easier with the team. They even embraced the marmite crips and skittles (we had no biscuits to offer them) which my children found so funny. Keith and Shaun traveled down with us and despite what was a very long day for them nothing was too much trouble, polite, friendly and a good laugh. Such a professional company. Thank you so much guys. Would highly recommend.

Mark from the Norwich/wymondham branch who helped pack & move out items was amazing! We need more Marks! The other 2 that packed & delivered from the Cambridge branch were ok. I have been left with damaged property & a complete disarray of a garage that I’m still struggling to organise weeks later. The way everything was dumped in there was a disgrace. Couldn’t close the garage door. No consideration for the fact I’m on my own and can’t move the heavy objects to get access to anything else in the back of the garage. Todd jones the general manager was great until he got his dates mixed up with my moving & completion date and was rather confrontational with me which wasn’t necessary. I am hoping in the future more consideration will be taken for people moving under extremely stressful circumstances (like I was) moving across country. From the initial assesmernt of the property to give a quote, to the actual moving, all the staff were friendly and professional. The first part of the move was for half the contents were taken for storage at their Loddon facilities and later the remainder was moved to our new address. Great care of the items including a Piano, was high on their qualities. We can,t reccomend them high enough - Thank You

From first contact to completion of our move, we were given a highly professional service. We received a fully itemised and very competitive quotation. All elements of the moving process were fully explained. The team that conducted the move were helpful, friendly and clearly very experienced. Would recommend this company without any hesitation whatsoever.

Sam, Shaun, Jay and James moved me on 16th April from Norfolk to Durham. I can’t recommend them enough. Really professional service. Polite, cheerful hard working who went above and beyond to make the process as stress free as possible. Tod was patient on the booking end, keeping me calm when the exchange went right up to the wire. I would definitely recommend Alan Cook Britannia to anyone. Definitely a five star service.

This was the second time of using Alan Cook to move us. Just like the first time the service was excellent.
Following the survey and estimate it was easy to book a provisional date and pay the 50% deposit over the phone.
Once the solicitor gave us the completion date we phoned and confirmed the date.
The day before they phoned to talk through what would happen and we paid the remaining balance.At 8am on moving day 2 lovely, friendly guys turned up in spotless trucks. They covered all the floors and doors to protect them and then they started.
We had to do nothing apart from offer drinks.
Everything was moved with care and nothing got broken.
At the other end they had a short breather whilst we went and collected the keys.
They then did everything in reverse
I would strongly recommend this professional company to anyone moving house.

Very dissatisfied with the level of communication from Alan Cook. We made various phone calls and emails in relation to our missing shipment items. There was no apology or sense of urgency even when the items were found there was no mention on when we were likely to actually receive the items. Very disappointing.We even spoke to a manager in the office who said he would phone back, we’re still waiting for the call.

What could have been a stressful experience was made much easier by the quick efficient way everything was handled by the friendly team we had moving us.

From those working in the office to the team on the day, everyone was very professional and friendly.

You were very efficient, all went to plsn with rhe packing and moving. The moving day went as smoothly as it could Cam and his colleagues were very thoughtful and caring . A very satisfied customer.

I was told that I would have no worries and the removers would take care of everything while I could look after my husband with throat cancer. This was not the case as I was run ragged telling everyone what to take and what was important. I was sorting out my husbands feed as he is peg fed and completely nil by mouth when one remover asked if there was any chance of a tea or coffee. I was going to make everyone a cup of something but I thought it was a liberty being asked. I couldn't find a cooling box that I needed for my husbands medication because it has to be refrigerated and stay cool. When I went out to the lorry it was right up the top, so I told the short guy loading that I needed that but he said he couldn't reach it even when I explained that it was very important. I told him that I had a ladder and he was still reluctant to help, at this point I didn't care if they had to unload everything, I needed that cooling box, then a taller guy said he would try and with my husbands helping hand that grabs things he managed to get it for me. The next thing was taking down wardrobes that just turn with a screwdriver and then the sides just lift off but No he decided to bang the sides with a hammer that pulled out the plugs. They didn't care because at the other end these wardrobes wasn't being erected as there was fitted ones and I wasn't sure if to keep them or use my own wardrobes. Once we was ready to leave, the guys went on ahead and when we arrived they had started to put things in the shed but what upset me was they had put my husbands wheelchair right at the back of the shed and then started stacking boxes infront so I couldn't access it. Also the previous owners had left all their rubbish in the shed so that was going to leave me with no room for our belongings. At this point I just throw everything out on the lawn and they all stood there watching. I was so angry because the boxes were so heavy for me and I had 4 men just standing in the back of a lorry watching, I had to shout at them to come and help me and to explain that the stuff in the shed wasn't mine and they should have removed it to make room for our things. Once I came in another 2 guys turned up and they said that would make things easy but all that done was make my home come out of the back of a lorry alot faster and just get dumped anywhere. 2 guys had come out of one of the bedrooms having a bit of a laugh, which I thought they where just having a bit of banta but it was when they all left and I decided to move a small unit that the two back legs had falled off and they had just placed them underneath to stabilize it and then I realised what they thought was funny. I can go in about alot more but it's upsetting and frustrating to say the least. This was my first experience in having removal men and I would definitely NOT recommended it.

From the first meeting with Andy to view our move, to the team who moved us, John, Josh and Mark, everything was made as stress-free as possible while being carried out with speed and with care. Having moved us out they are now storing furniture for us whilst we find our next home. We recommend them without hesitation.

5 star service, great communication from the point we booked in our free valuation, through to booking our move date and outstanding professionalism on the day of removal from Tom N & Andy F. Would recommend!
