Why is your baggage check so late? My flight is at 5pm and your baggage check doesn’t open until 3pm at IAD. We had a line and no place to get water food or sit down for those who have a disability.

worst…

This company just gave me the worst travel day ever. Do not fly with them. They canceled my flight. They lost my luggage and was rude. They have left me with nothing and destroyed my vacation.

We had a fantastic experience

We had a fantastic experience with Alaska Airlines in January.

Unfortunately (due to our own fault) we missed our flight to Hawaii from San Francisco.

Alaska Airlines staff Marilyn and Danica from San Fran couldn’t have been more helpful. They spent ages assisting us with rebooking flights (despite their already heavy workload), ensuring we wouldn’t miss our later connecting flight and even suggesting hotels, going well above and beyond any service expected.

Marilyn and Danica - thank you so much for your help. You are a credit to the airline.

Flights were ok; we felt a little cheated by the booking system.

My daughter and I booked to fly from San Diego to Seattle for a couple of nights around Christmas. When selecting our seats, the only online availability we were offered was 2 seats, one behind the other in the middle of rows alongside the loos.
So I bit the bullet and paid considerably more (probably 4 times as much) to travel in First Class. The short flights themselves were fine, but on both of them I had a stroll through the economy cabin and was surprised to see them only half-full. I’m not a frequent flyer, have no status with Alaska, so I guess my IP address from the UK was recognised by the booking system, and for adjoining seats I was given no option other than First class.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! arrived in San Francisco today on a flight from LA to discover my case had been opened, everything all messed up and filtered through and a bottle of aftershave stolen. So thankful nothing of any huge value had been stolen but that's not the point. Instantly contacted Alaska Airlines about the theft so I'll wait with baited breath

I've also noted that the jokers at this shower of s**t airline don't have the decency to respond to any review on here 🤷‍♂️

Late and useless crew causing missed flights

Stuck in SEA right now because the crew showed up incredibly late and then took forever boarding and leaving. We missed our connection by one minute because they couldn't be bothered to tell other flights we were there and that they should wait. Then they wouldn't let us off the freaking plane!! The connecting plane was still there but they wouldn't let us on even though there isn't another flight available for two days and there were at least six passengers that missed the flight due to Alaska's horrible planning. Then they wouldn't even pay for accomodations claiming that we would be "refunded." For some reason I don't believe you and that doesn't help anyone who doesn't have the cash to fix the airlines screw up. Out of everyone we dealt with only ONE person was helpful and every single other person did NOT care. I will never fly this airline again and they used to be my favorite. Such shameful, despicable behavior.

Finaly you gave me back my trust

Wrote a bad review in the past about flight from SFO - EWR

O.K. everything was not easy when the Alaska Airlines and with Fedex lost my baggage twice!
Had difficulty, no reply with Baggage Service.
But finaly!
They were realy good, understood the dilemma troubel.
They replied and reimbursed for all the cost.
Thank you Alaska Airlines you gave me back the trust in your service.
Thank you for understanding the frustration I had.
I think you are doing better then other Airlines who try to sit out problems.

I will happiely fly with you again knowing that there are people who realy care.

Thank you very much
Johann

WARNING: Irresponsible and unreliable airline company

After several hours of delay, Alaska Airlines finally ended up cancelling our flight from LA to San Jose los Cabos in Mexico.

After standing in line for an hour, we were rebooked on an American Airline flight the following day.

So we lost our first night in Cabo AND our schedueled transportation from the airport. On top of that, we were once again charged for our baggage on the American Airlines flight.

I have been in good communication with Alaska Airlines customer service, who finally agreed to cover the expenses we had incurred, and make a transfer of the amount to our bank account.

However we have never received the compensation despite of several follow ups. Now they simply ignore all my e-mails.

So much for customer service from Alaska Airlines!

So be careful with this airline. They run from their agreements and responsibilities.

Flight Cancellation Support

Absolutely the worst customer experience. I was a big fan of Alaska airlines. Their failure to provide minimal customer support during this weeks weather events is totally inexcusable. 4 flights canceled and little to no help rescheduling, 8 hour hold times, in accurate website flight availability.

I’ve been a loyal Alaska Mileage Plan…

I’ve been a loyal Alaska Mileage Plan member for years and have MVP Gold 75K status so I fly quite a bit. I’ve seen Alaska service steadily degrade for years and the last 3 flights this month makes it clear that Alaska is a budget airline charging premium fares. First flight was a regional 250 mile hop where we loaded our own bags onto a cart at the side of the plane while braving cold rain and wind. After the little turboprop landed we stood outside in the snow to wait for them to bring our bags where we could grab them off another cart before we could get inside from the snow. I’ve had better service throughout the 3rd world and didn’t pay hundreds of dollars for a 45 minute flight Refreshment choices on the flight were water or water. Asked about a snack bar that Gold 75K members usually receive and was told with a shrug,”we ran out”.

The last flight tonight was the worst. Flying from Seattle to Kauai with an ETA of 3pm we finally arrived at our resort at 9 when all onsite dining was closed and the pool was shut. The flight was first delayed and at the last minute we were notified that we were not going to Kauai but to San Jose for a “pit stop” before continuing on to Kauai. A half hour after departing Seattle they announced that we had to return to Seattle due to a radio failure. They allowed us to deplane but told us not to leave the area and expect an update in 20 minutes. Of course we heard nothing for over an hour and then they announced we would be flying directly to Kauai once the plane was fixed. After another half hour they abruptly called for boarding but rather than board by groups it was a scramble with similarities to a rugby match. After reclaiming our seat we then sat on board at the gate for another hour with a series of announcements about why we couldn’t leave immediately even after being herded onboard As if time was of the essence. When we finally took off from Seattle 5 hours after our scheduled departure we faced a 6 hour and 20 minute flight to Kauai and what do you think Alaska offers for food? One tiny bag of pretzels and water. For 11 hours of service from Alaska Airlines between delays and flight time that was the food they provided. This was not a Spirit or Jet Blue flight and the price reflected that. But the service and amenities on those budget carriers would have been better than what we experienced on Alaska but at a much higher price. Don’t waste money on this failing operation. If you want to pay a legacy carrier Delta United and American aren’t perfect but they would never put passengers through something like this. If you want an inexpensive carrier with a la carte food and luggage options there’s more and more choices. Alaska used to be a solid airline but those days are past. Avoid this operation if you have any options or you’ll regret it.

Alaska Airlines worst- no service,no reimbursement

Alaska Airlines lost my 2 bags on flight SFO - EWR 22nd Nov.
1 found and forwarded 3 days after. The 2nd bag was lost again and Alaska refused any reply on email, calls, no ! Service. Till 14th still no bag , no service.
Central Baggage Service in Seattle is close to criminal intention, denying anything, reimbursment.
Denying to help to get my bag back. Informed DOT. Worst Airlines experience.
They want to sit out their responsibility.

I purchased a "refundable" ticket for my mother to come out for Thanksgiving. Then she couldn't make the trip due to illness. I requested a refund, butAlaska said they would only refund the money to my bank. Problem is, I am no longer with that bank.

They stole $1000 dollars from me and basically told me to f off about it,...

Never trust Alaska, they are scumbags.

Absolutely the worst!

Absolutely the worst!! I had my daughter flying by herself for the first time and nobody seems to know what to do or how to get her paperwork. I Was let back to the gate and when we tried to board the attendant said we needed an envelope with our information. I should have been informed when I was given the gate pass to take her back. They are looking at me like I am the crazy one. This is my first time letting her fly alone and it’s not very comforting. Just so unprofessional!

Items stolen from baggage

Flight delayed by 90 minutes (mixed reasons given "Captain rest period" "technical difficulties with aircraft" delayed inbound") meant that bags were not transferred to next leg of journey at Seattle. When bags did eventually arrive, they had been opened and items in them had been stolen.

please don't go with Alaska airlines

I had a flight with Alaska on September 30th. I arrived at the airport 2 hours before my flight and tried to check in through a Kiosk and paid $30 for baggage but couldn't complete it because it says Ask for customer service help..I asked a customer representative who came and found out the same problem..She told me to go to a service line Customers and wait for my turn until I met a new customer service representative who was trying to complete the check-in through her computer. It took longer than anyone to complete the check-in and asked her co-workers to fix something and finally she did and she said you're ready to go I went to the security check line, that line is always too long and takes too long in the end I got in touch with the rep after checking off his screen, and he couldn't complete boarding pass telling me you have to go back to customer service again and tell them you have issues with your boarding pass I want to go to customer service again it's a long time to fix my problem and eventually they told me I missed my flight and they will find me another flight

I’m very disappointed. I booked two first class tickets to…

I booked two first class tickets to Hawai’i in February of 2022 for a trip in October. I booked super early as to make sure we got the seats we wanted. A week before we were to leave I got an email that we had been moved to coach. No explanation, just downgraded. When I called customer service to get an explanation, their response was that there had been a schedule change and those seats weren’t available.when my husband called customer service he initially got a woman who was nice and was trying to be helpful, of course when she put him on hold , about 10 minutes later he was disconnected. He called back and the next person he spoke with was less than helpful and was rude. I don’t get the opportunity to fly first class very often and this was for a special occasion so I am seriously disappointed and doubt I’ll ever fly Alaskan again.

Always delayed

Always delayed. Rude flight attendants. Just did a flight with about 10 people on a 50+ person plane and they wouldn’t let me move my seat away from this awful person next to me because of “weight balance issues with the plane” which is the biggest bunch of crap I’ve ever heard. Screw you alaska.
