Alco carried out a refurbishment of a 1 bedroom second floor property and common parts staircase.

Throughout the project they were professional, helpful and very proactive.

The quality of workmanship is excellent.

Nothing was too much trouble and they assisted with any changes we wanted to make.

All of the team from Tom and Russell who was our site foreman to the labourers were all friendly and knowledgeable.

I would not hesitate in working with this company again and recommending them.

The whole team at ALCO were a pleasure to deal with. From Tom & Jon arranging the initial consultation and site visit, to all of the guys that undertook the work. The work itself was of a high standard, and I felt confident and secure the entire time that things would be exactly as I wanted. When there was a small teething issue with something, Jon didn't hesitate to send someone back out to check and fix the problem. Would definitely recommend.

ALCO carried out a complete renovation and loft conversion for us, and we’re absolutely delighted with the outcome. We’ve had loads of compliments on how the place looks, and the quality of the work. The house is an absolute joy to live in now, we honestly can’t thank Tom and his team enough.

ALCO completed an Extension, fully rewired and plumbed the house including refurbishing it. Tom and his team were amazing from start to finish. The work was carried out to the highest standard. Tom and his team are excellent to work with - great fun, kind, careful, and willing to go the extra mile to make things right. They understood the vision for our unique project and added their own ideas to make it special. They gave a clear quote that they stuck to. The few extras that did arise were agreed in a fair and open way. The team worked around any challenges quickly and provided innovative solutions. I felt I had their full attention and no problem was too tricky. The smart technology they installed along with air-source heat pump and AC has given an extra dimension. The quality of the final build was great, both inside features and the stonework outside. I enjoyed working with Tom and would highly recommend Alco.

ALCO did a fantastic and most professional job on our project from start to finish. It was a complex build with lots of unknowns owing to the age of the property, but the team were creative and proactive throughout. We really felt like we got to know everyone well, and that's because Tom and his team are so personable and take such pride in their work. Highly recommend!

My 19th Century cottage has just been completely refurbished by ALCO Properties Ltd. The work was carried out over the very challenging first lockdown period when labour was restricted and products difficult to obtain and I am impressed by the way it was carried out despite these conditions. Thanks to exceptional management, everything was completed to an exceedingly high standard – nothing was too much trouble. I received good advice and felt confident that, although I was away shielding at the time and could only communicate by mobile phone or email, the transformation was being well looked after. When I was finally able to view my 'new' home, I was absolutely delighted with the results and would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

Tom and his team carried out extensive exterior works along with some internal decoration to our property in 2018. He was a superb project manager and made the process as stress free as possible, mainly due to him being an excellent communicator. Tom has a creative mind, and therefore was great at making design suggestions whilst being very patient when we changed our minds occasionally! He has calm and extremely professional manner and we would definitely like to use ALCO again should we carry out any future work. Highly recommended.

ALCO finished the work (kitchen re-fit and bifold doors) to a high quality, very promptly with a tight deadline despite us repeatedly changing the brief. The tradesmen were reliable and often came late, or even on a Sunday to make sure everything was done before our baby arrived

Tom and his team completed a single storey kitchen extension last year for us. He was an exceptional Project Manager and nothing was too much trouble. He had a team who clearly enjoyed working for him and this showed in their punctuality, politeness and humour throughout. Tom goes that extra mile. He was excellent at responding to calls and emails and if there were ever any concerns, he was always on hand to talk through them. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in every aspect of the building process and came up with ideas we wouldn't have envisaged ourselves. The build was finished ahead of schedule which I never thought possible and when it came to snagging, he made sure everything was completed quickly. Tom was recommended to us and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to our friends and family.

I really recommend Alco Properties / Tom. He helped knock down kitchen/dining room wall, assist in work for a new kitchen, underfloor heating throughout downstairs, redecorate, tiling floors downstairs and kitchen wall, plumbing. His staff are all polite and helpful. He helps with anything and extra work. It was all carried out in time and to a very good standard. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Very professional and efficient. Did a great job on re-modelling the upstairs of my house and installing a new bathroom. I was extremely happy with the work that was done and the final result.

Alco have now done a few jobs for us ranging in size and price. Each time we find then to be reasonably process, good communicators and a good standard of finish. As with any contractor it is important to write a clear specification to get the best price but Alco seem happy to agree amendments as necessary. Have recomended to a number of people who have all been positive.

Tom (Alco) provided many detailed quotes (and showed a lot of patience as the project changed as it went along) and delivered a good service and finish - particularly pleasing as most of the work was done without me being around. Any issues we did have were remedied quickly and Tom showed commitment to providing customer satisfaction.

Asked ALCO in to do the simple task of tacking and skimming a ceiling. Very efficiently done within the day with no mess and little fuss. Very friendly and considerate at a highly competitive price. Great job, thanks!

ALCO, under the guidance and leadership of Tom Allen, did a superb job in the renovation of my son and daughter's house in Guildford. Everything was completed on time, to the required standard and within budget. Tom's project management skills are excellent and he has a fine team of tradesmen supporting him.
We were consulted at all stages of the project on progress and there were no surprises.
A great team performance and I would highly recommend ALCO to anyone about to undertake a building project, large or small.
