Do not buy from this company

I ordered a pair of boots from this company. The zip broke after a couple of use. They refused to issue refund saying that the old company went into an administration and they are the new franchise. They are trading under same name and nowhere it says on their website that this is the case.

Terrible online returns experience and customer service

Ordering experience and shoes are fine but return experience is terrible. I ordered 3 pairs of shoes that all shipped in separate boxes...I wanted to return two of them but I only got one return label. When I contacted the chat to ask for a new label (which took hours to get a real human), the chat rep told me I should print out two copies of the same label and put them on two boxes. I did this and went to UPS and they told me this was completely incorrect. You cannot use the same label twice.

My experience with Aldo in malls has usually been good, but it's clear that during the pandemic this company is going downhill and doesn't care at all about their online shopping experience or customer support. They have a crappy online chatbot named "Bensa" which I assume is named after the CEO - what an egotistical joke. Leadership needs to get their act together...maybe hire somebody to run the company who actually cares about customer experience if they don't want this brand to go completely bankrupt.

Frustrating company

Delivery is standard, quality over priced and customer service non existent.
You have to chase refunds, tracking shows returns are delivered but they still make you wait 14 days before they look into your refund.

Horrible experience

I went to LA on vacation. Went to Aldo and found 2 hats one white/tan. i didn't want to bring back with me so i had them shipped. both arrived the same color and bent. i first went to the store to return. The associate says while walking off- we don't make returns on accessories (i didn't know i don't shop here)another lady came and gave me 800 # I called CS was on hold 20 min the man told me we don't have this white color hat (like I don't know my colors). he told me someone would call me to talk about what i can do about the issue. I called again after 2 days without hearing back. still waiting. I never shopped at Aldo and I deff will never shop there again. Return policy and CS is my 100% factor or visiting a store and because i was on vacation and this store was at a outside mall of my hotel I saw this cute hat that have been a pain to return. If you don't care about your customer then you don't need my money. Ps your phone system sucks as well.

Very poor customer service

Ordered 2 pairs of shoes..supplied the correct address....had email twice asking for correct address.....informed them that was the correct address..ordered on the 10/7/ 21
Now 25/7/21 and still not dispatched...furious

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. For returns they do not appreciate that people don't have printers at home and especially during a pandemic when people don't want to be making unnecessary trips to find somewhere to print the label (which will charge a ridiculous price for a sheet of black and white). Staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Life is too short to make another purchase from them and deal with all the hassle and back and forth!

Disappointing

I placed my order 4th of July. After 10 days I got an email saying that one item is not on stock anymore and I will get refund. Fine with me, however the other two pairs were not shipped. I emailed customers service and their response was that " we do not have certain stock to fulfil this order. Please do not re-order the item that are not in stock. There would have been a delay with the order due to out of stock item". Today the 19th they finally processed full refund. I will never order again with Aldo Shoes.

UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED!

I ordered 3 items on 21/5/2021 after 10 days I called customer service and I was told my order will be prioritised... but nothing was delivered. I tried calling again and calls go to voicemail. Today 15/6/2021 I got a rude email asking me for my order number so I can be refunded, after holding my £203 for 3weeks. Still waiting for my refund, hopefully soon. I will never shop at ALDO again. Absolute waste of time!

Shoes falling apart after 3 weeks

I used to love Aldo and have bought loads of shoes from them but I think the quality has changed. I ordered some sandals three weeks ago and already the strap is falling apart :( I had the same sandals last year and they lasted me months. A lot of their shoes used to be made in Italy but I noticed that this current pair are made in China. I’m so sad and disappointed and have contacted them regarding this matter.

Bad after sell service

Bad after sell service. I am having to follow up 8 times to get my refund. I gave my card details and again same question is being asked. No calls, confirmation mail states processed but still banking team wants to confirm card details that was already shared. Phone number was provided for a callback but again no calls received

Poor Quality Shoes and Shady Business Practices

I got a pair of sneakers in store. The shoes fell apart after being worn only a handful of times. I had them less than a month and did not wear them during the week. Also has a 90 day defective shoe return policy. The store did not even look at the shoes before turning me away. I called online and they said they would help me, but I first had to send photos. I did, then waited for a call back. When I received the call they got additional information from me and then sent me a shipping label to return the shoes. I had to track the package and call back when it was delivered to them. Ridiculous, but fine. I did that. They collected further information from me then said their banking department had to call me, most likely the next week, to get even more information and reimburse me. They called from a Canadian number while I was at work. I did not answer because I thought it was a scam. I then received a rude email saying they would only try one more time before closing my case and to provide them with times between 8am and 3pm. I work during those hours and can’t guarantee I can answer the phone as I respond to crises as they occur. I then get an email saying they called again and I did not respond. I have no missed call and my phone did not ring. This company is shady. They do everything in their power to mistreat customers so they don’t have to provide a refund when their poor quality shoes do not last. I will proceed with a complaint with the BBB and I am telling everyone I know about my experience.

I’ve ordered over 100 pairs of shoes…

I’ve ordered over 100 pairs of shoes from Aldo online and I’ve rarely had a problem and when I did I not only got a refund within a couple days but I also got a discount on any further purchases. It’s also Covid time so you should expect delays but I’ve never waited more than 5 days to receive a pair of shoes I’ve ordered.

I have ordered shoes from Aldo before…

I have ordered shoes from Aldo before and never had any issues. A few months ago, in 2020, I received a discount for my birthday. On 07/04/2021, I ordered two pairs of shoes. I still had to pay £5 for shipping. That was a surprise because I don’t recall this had been the case before. Mind, you pay nearly £100 and still a shipping fee. When I was paying for my order, my birthday code didn’t work. I paid for the order because I liked the shoes and enquired about the code. Aldo Shoes replied:
Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email.

Aldo UK franchises have been taken over by us on 18/01/2021. Unfortunately, as we are a new company, previous discounts are not working. Please be advised to choose products which are on a sale price.

So here came the the first bad experience. As your customer, I should not be affected by new changes!
During the checkout, the shipping information says 3-5 days. After 5 days, I sent an email asking about my order and the company replied on 14/04/21:

We are experiencing delays at present with certain items of stock. Im sorry your order has been affected; we would hope to ship this order in the next 7 days.

On 21/04/21, I received a refund for one pair of shoes and the shipping fee. I received no information about the second pair, so I enquired. I received the following email on 27/04/21.

Be reassured we will be sending this order to you. We recently experienced issues with stock and your order should be with you in the next 7 days.

I am writing this review on 02/05/21.

I am extremely surprised by the customer service that the new company which took over Aldo Shoes is offering. It’s been nearly a month!!!! since I placed an order and my shoes are still not here.

The problem is also that the shoes that they refunded are still on their website as in stock. This means that they are giving false information and you are set for disappointment because you don’t even know if those shoes are really in stock.

I haven’t had any apology, if I don’t enquire, they never write first.
I started looking for the same heels in other retailers. Although Aldo Shoes are lovely, I currently cannot rely on their service anymore. Whoever bought them, they don’t know how to take care of their customers.

I have looked at previous reviews and all the good reviews are from when Aldo Shoes was not bought by a new company so my message to the new owner - if you don’t know how to do business, sell Aldo Shoes and don’t further ruin their brand name.

Now we're having to try & get our money back through PayPal as have had no response back.

Disappointed

I ordered a pair of heeled sandals at the beginning of March. I was so excited! The initial email confirmed my order and stated that they will notify me once my order has been dispatched.

I waited and waited. I emailed Aldo customer service for an update. They replied saying that my order will be shipped within the next 7 days. Nothing came. I emailed again enquiring about my order. They said that my order had been shipped and would be delivered within the next 2 days but they noted that there were delays with Royal Mail. I found this suspicious. Again nothing happened so I emailed again and I was informed that my order had been apparently delivered a month ago (date before my first enquiry email). I never received a parcel, a tracking number or a dispatch notification.

I asked for a refund and in all fairness to Aldo, my order was quickly refunded. It is a shame that this company is let down by disorganisation at best. At some points I had my doubts they were a legitimate company. I understand that we are facing difficult times but during the entire lockdown period I did not have any experiences with other retailers coming even close to this one. I hope customers' feedback is taken into account and things improve.
