Garden Corner set

Salisbury Rattan Corner Sofa arrived today. Delighted with the quality and look of the furniture. Took a little longer than expected and there was a slight hiccup over the delivery, but all resolved. It was easy to assemble and looks fabulous.

Appalling Service from Alison @ Home

A@H Order Number: W00028753
My parents (in their 80's) ordered a wooden garden bench from Alison at Home. The bench they received was not that which they ordered. This was acknowledged by Alison at Home and A@H agreed to collect said item and arrange a refund. This was on the 7th May. To date despite numerous emails and attempts to contact by phone A@H have failed to arrange the collection of the bench and have not returned the monies paid. My parents have had several 'holding' emails from A@H indicating that they are awaiting an update with collection details. Indeed one day a courier did appear (unannounced). However, he declined to take the bench as it was not packaged up on it's pallet. Bear in mind my parents are in their 80's. We appreciate that with Covid things are taking longer to resolve. However, I am struggling to believe that it takes nearly two months to arrange collection. In the meantime, my parents have a large pile of wooden bench parts that are unserviceable and A@H have their money. Leaving a Trustpilot review is their only means to expressing their frustration and disappointment. They will certainly not be shopping with A@H again for anything.
Update: 3 days after leaving this review, the bench has been collected and A@H are apparently processing the refund. I’m delighted the matter is resolving but disappointed it needed this approach to achieve it.

No memorial bench!

So very disappointed..ordered a bench in memory of my brother...no reply to email..both phones now unobtainable...worst customer service ever. Going to get bank to refund my payment on monday...dont want to wait another 4 weeks without any contact..cant keep blaming the virus!!

Delivered this morning, I had to put it together myself! Bench is ok, but Im not impressed with this company, if they were having problems with supplying, they should have said so on the advert or their website.

We are very sorry that your bench has not been delivered yet, especially as it is intended as a memorial. Unfortunately this is genuinely due to Covid, as everything from the timber supplies to the delivery network have been disrupted. If you would like to let us have your surname or order number we can find out when delivery will take place. You are of course entitled to a refund if you prefer. Our CS Tel No has been disabled as we are short staffed, but our emails are being handled every day.

We also understand the frustration of waiting for a purchase but in the past few weeks a number of factors have disrupted our supply chain. We have attempted to reflect this with messaging on the website, and amended lead times when we are made aware of any supplier delays. I'm glad we were able to get this to you and we hope you enjoy it in the current fine weather.

Very slow to respond to customer queries but good quality products

Originally I gave a one star review because after the goods were ordered and the money was taken, no goods arrived and I was unable to contact anyone to speak to about my order. I tried repeatedly to contact them to get a refund but no response. I resorted to contacting my credit card company to sort this out.

Ten days after my initial 1 star review, my garden furniture has arrived today and I'm happy with it. Although it is not the exact one I ordered because that one is now out of stock, it is similar. However, I wasn't given the opportunity to say no to the substitute product so its a good job that I do like it. It just arrived.

Several weeks ago I received an email to say my order was being cancelled but I couldn't contact anyone to arrange refund - no response to emails or phone messages. Eventually, after over a week of emailing and leaving messages, someone phoned me back and agreed to refund me. Then that same day a logistics company phoned to say my garden furniture was coming. I didn't know what was going on!

Good quality product but poor customer service. Person that I eventually spoke to was very friendly and helpful - just not enough staff to deal with customer demand right now.

Communication

My order was acknowledged on the 17th of May and my card charged the same day.
No way of getting information on late delivery just automatic responses to E Mail and phone saying contact within 2 days. Nothing weeks later.

Today 18th June got a useful reply and delivery is promised for tomorrow.

The order arrived yesterday as promised.
RESULT!

Very disappointed

I am still awaiting a delivery of a garden mirror, stated 1 to 2 weeks, over 3 weeks later this has not arrived.
I have emailed 3 times and left 3 messages with no response other that we will get back to you in 2 working days.
I would never recommend this company, happy to bank your money but not deliver the goods,

I'm sorry the delivery time has taken slightly longer than we anticipated.

Home deliveries have been severely impacted by Covid, coupled with the fact that imported stock has taken longer to arrive than scheduled, as shipping and freight have been similarly impacted.

I'm pleased to say however that your mirror is now with us and on course to be delivered by next Wednesday June 24th.

Non delivery of a garden bench

I have been awaiting delivery of a garden bench, expected delivery 2-3weeks. It is now 6 weeks. Only automated emails in reply to queries and you cannot get through on the phone, the inbox is full!
There aren’t any customer services although they say your calls/emails are important to them.
I won’t be buying from them again.

Hello Maggie,

We've followed up your order and I'm pleased to say that it is now complete and in transit, which means it will be delivered either today or Monday.

By way of explanation, Covid has put unique pressures on all retailers. The whole supply chain has been affected, from lack of timber because timber mills have been closed due to staffing issues, to manufacturing and delivery delays. The majority of our wooden furniture is made to order, which has resulted in what would normally be a 2-3 week delivery becoming 5-6 weeks or even longer.

At the Customer Service end, we have also had to cope with fewer staff and those that are working, doing so from home with less access to information than they would normally have. Whilst we have had fewer staff, the level of enquiries has gone up, as customers have had more questions in these uncertain times.

All of which has created a bit of a perfect storm in terms of getting orders to customers in a timely fashion, and coping with the level of enquiries. None of which is offered as an excuse, but rather as an explanation that whilst the spirit is willing, circumstances can sometimes foil even the most dedicated of teams.

E-mailed the company 10 days ago and…

E-mailed the company 10 days ago and again 3 days ago asking a couple of easy to answer questions regarding one of their products (£399 worth). I also completed the online form on their web site.
To date, no reply.
Whilst I accept that the Covid19 situation is not helping, I would have thought someone working from home, could easily have replied.
I was also going to order a second item at a similar value.
I will now go elsewhere for these products.
If they can't be bothered to even have the curtesy to reply, I will not trust then with my order

As I am sure you are aware, Covid has caused severe disruption to the supply and distribution pipeline for many retailers, and furniture in particular, as it often requires a two man delivery option, which has been further challenged by social distancing rules.

As a result, our team has been necessarily focused on queries relating to managing the supply chain, and have had less time to focus on new enquiries.

All businesses want and need new custom, but faced with staff shortages and other challenges, we have tried to focus first on fulfilling existing customer orders.

Shocking Customer Service - No Product and No Response! Beware!

Shocking customer service. Order placed at the start of May 2020, with payment made online immediately. Since then I have not been able to contact the company directly, each telephone call goes to a recorded voicemail that states they will respond in 2 business days. I have now been waiting 10 days.

I have sent email after email and on the final telephone call this morning I am advised that the mailbox is FULL.

No response to telephone calls, emails and I am very concerned that my payment has gone into a large black hole.

Very poor delivery service

My wife ordered a rattan sofa in June. Took two weeks to deliver but was damaged in transit by Palletways. I don't mean damaged, I mean mangled.
Four weeks later we're still waiting for a replacement.

The final straw was today, when my wife is waiting in for delivery and they tell us that they had us down for the 1st September, not 1st August.
