Darren Mc Grath in hiding

I've not gotten any value out of this in 2023. The syndicate manager was trying to raise 800k but unable to do so ,it's all gone quiet . Darren must have gone into hiding 🤔, stay clear

Shysters

Shysters! A complete and utter con. No word, no socials, no nothing! All of us affected by this need to complain to the authorities and have Darren Mcgrath struck off. I was looking for info on the shares I bought as a gift on Come on Du Berlais and just like that, the whole kit and caboodle, gone - as if in a puff of smoke! Shysters!

Wouldn't give any star but had to to wright a review

I started with abs in 21 and was great darren was answering all questions on app by email or by txt I recently txt him to see what was going on and no reply 😞 it seams that he's gone into hiding so he maybe a con man it's a shame as it was very enjoyable at the beging with stable tours there has to be some clarification on his behalf as all the horse have been sold so there has to be some percentage for the members to get I would no like to get involved again with these COWBOYS

This company is a scam and Darren…

This company is a scam and Darren McGrath is a conman, a liar and a coward, who won't face his customers and creditors. I had recently purchased or renewed shares in 2 out of 3 horses. McGrath transferred my shares into his own horse without my permission and disposed of all but that same horse. If you check with Racing Post, you'll see ownership of several horses being transferred to sister companies within the AASRC group and then onwards. Weeks before that Mr McGrath raised €800,000 in private equity funding for his business. Everything has been dismantled and McGrath has gone to ground. The trainers who were involved with McGrath need to be questioned. The Garda Siochana need to investigate McGrath and hold him to account.

Avoid

It looks like this syndicate won't be about much longer. I strongly suggest AVOID.

A syndicate probably best to avoid

Not a syndicate i enjoyed being part of.

Owner (Darren Mcgrath) talks a very good game and is convincing on camera but the reality is that the information you received on your horse was fairly infrequent and in the end, the horse i had with ABS was seemingly sold/removed from the club with no explanation and it was then spotted by someone else as having new owners on the BHA website, all of this done without comment or notification at all from the club.

All social media platforms now turned off and also lots of confusion over shareholder dates, when to renew etc. Google also says ABS is permanently closed?? Not sure if that's true or not.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this syndicate at all - Stick to the tried and trusted ones like Owners Group.

Beware if entering this syndicate…

Beware if entering this syndicate currently. Best horses seem to have been disposed of with all existing club members transferred to the one remaining horse. Very poor communication or consultation with shareholders. Twitter account closed and Facebook account queries not being replied and they have switched off comments on the club app.

Mixed Experience

This has gone downhill very fast. As you can see from other reviews, all well and good until the last month.

This syndicate started off really well. I selected a horse I researched and liked, then purchased a share in a different horse at a discounted price the following month.

There were some updates on both horses every now and then, I'm not particularly needy and therefore didn't bother me too much. Enjoyed the pre-race previews and post-race reviews the few times my horses did run.

However a few weeks ago all horses except one were sold up. So two shares were transferred to a horse I'd not selected as first or second choice.

My main issue about all of this is the lack of communication about it. Just an email stating shares transferred. Darren has failed to do a video about it (at least explaining what has happened), choosing to hide behind emails. He has just brushed it off. Facebook group has been paused so shareholders can't discuss what has happened, no comments on any new videos/post in the app so I'm assuming they've been turned off aswell.

A real shame, I really enjoyed it at first and would have almost definitely renewed my shares in the two horses as I liked them both. Now I have absolutely no intention to renew shares in this horse I don't want. Very disrespectful to all shareholders that Darren is refusing to address the situation infront of a camera to all questions put to him.

Be wary about buying into them at the moment

Previously a slightly above average micro-share Syndicate / Club.
On 17 June 2023, without warning the micro-shareholders, they sold all horses except Say What You Want with all shares being transferred to her.
It is very possible that the Company is in trouble, so be wary about buying into them until there are more horses available as you may lose your money.
