Rather than choosing to buy a new car (which is always nice), this time round I opted to buy just some new wheels instead - which is perhaps the next best thing! I wanted though some brand new genuine replacement Alloys Wheels for a 2018 Mini, albeit slightly different from the ones originally fitted to the car; however, looking around online at the wheels available on the market, I got the impression that the alloy wheels market in the UK at least, seems to be largely catered for by 'after market' or generic brands of alloy wheels (which in reality do seem considerably cheaper) rather than by original or OEM wheels.

However, after stumbling across the 'Alloy Wheels Direct' website I found what I was looking for in the form of some genuine replacement wheels and tyres etc which match the OEM wheels and tyres and TPMS and Valves etc in every way.

I wasn't actually aware that my order for 4 wheels and 4 fitted tyres was actually coming direct from an address in Germany, however, my order arrived in 4 large cardboard boxes all of which were quite well packaged with a good amount of protective wrapping. I was quite anxious to open them though just to check that the Black Gloss Wheels I'd ordered were all undamaged and ok - and they were. All good! Good service is not always that easy to find these days, but it's great when you get it.

I was somewhat skeptical about purchasing an expensive set of wheels from a vendor not only in another country but one with whom I had not previously done business. Nor did I know anyone in the larger car community who was aware of Alloy Wheels Direct.

Well, I was anxious for no reason. I selected the MB wheels I wanted from their good selection of new OEM manufacturer-supplied wheels, paid for them and was contacted by their staff the next morning.

Outside of a weekend in between the time the order was placed and the customs paperwork was completed, I had my wheels in-hand. They arrived via UPS (much more reliable than FedEx) within 3 days.

Initial inspection of the wheels and subsequent cermaic coating them proved a pleasure. The wheels were flawless (not factory seconds), not refurbished and of excellent quality. A side benefit is that there were no "core" charges, saving me well more than the reasonable shipping charges.

I suggest that if you are in the market for factory-fresh wheels (a set or a replacement) for your Mercedes, BMW or other high-line European vehicle, these guys are the "real deal".

Great folks to deal with, professional, polite, and extremely knowledgable, Tony in the office was more than just helpful, taking me slowly through all the various tyre/wheel options. If you are considering a new set wheels, an expensive undertaking for most people, then this is the company to use. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Excellent customer service, excellent product at a competitive price, UPS delivery faultless... however I have marked down a point for what I felt was a misleading delivery estimate. These wheels took very nearly 3 weeks to get to me from the time Alloy Wheels Direct took my money. As long as you're not in hurry, I would definitely recommend to others and use again.

The wheels and tyres arrived very swiftly from Germany and all is good. My husband is fitting them as they came with the tyres already fitted to the rims and balanced and although I had paid for fitting it is now not necessary and a credit for refund has already been raised.
