Ordered a swimming costume

Ordered a swimming costume. Took over 2 weeks to arrive. Came from China I foolishly thought ( Amara London) it was coming from London. The quality and fit was very poor and the colour not as advertised. I asked for a full refund to return the item. They did everything to dissuade me. To return the item you have to use Royal Mail track and trace which was £16. The swimsuit cost £31. I decided not worth paying £16 incase this was not repaid. I am left with a swim suit that doesnt fit. Please do not use this company. I have since read their reviews which are appalling. I cant believe this company can be allowed to continue trading.

Ordered a dress

Ordered a dress. Wrong dress arrived. Contacted customer services who told me I could choose another dress or a different size at my cost. After multiple emails of stating I wanted the dress I ordered the told me I could return the dress at my cost £20 (cheapest way) and I would get a 5% refund for their inconvenience. I don't know how many times I advised it was not my fault that they sent me the wrong dress. I even sent them photos of the dress I ordered from their website and photos of the dress they had sent which was completely different with the exception that the colour was right but they refused to accept the return postage cost as the returns policy says its up to the buyer if they don't like the item. They then offered me 10% refund but which point I was loosing the will to live because they just didn't get what the issue was so I accepted the 10% and then they had problems issuing the 10% and sent 3% instead because there is a charge on my end for them sending the refund.
This is very clearly a scam company that shows nice things which you buy but then blames you for there mistakes.
Avoid at all costs.

Product poorly made and does not fit.
Company based in China not UK.
Requested refund and was offered another swimsuit if paid £10 postage!!
To return item you have to send it to China at your expense.
Please DO NOT buy from this company.
Customer Service is zero. They have your money and you are left with an item you cant wear!!
I have contacted Trading Standards as this should not be allowed

Breach of rights.

Any company selling in the UK is subject to consumer rights, which includes the right to return goods and get a refund within 14 days. This company totally ignores their obligations. My wife ordered a swimsuit and it did not fit. To get a refund she is told she must send it back to China. She didn't buy it from China. She bought it from Amara London and is entitled to a return the goods to them and get a refund. We are now contacting Trading Standards to stop this unacceptable conduct.

Rip off company

Purchased a swimsuit from them. Too baggy round top of leg. Emailed 4 times trying to return. It will cost me money to return to china registered which will most probably be a scam.
They will offer me a refund if £5.49 yes c£5.49 when the item was £40 . Do Not But From This Company RIP OFF

Impossible return policy

I naively bought a dress on-line thinking that if it didn't fit I could simply return it.
The dress wasn't nice at all - nothing like the picture on the website, ill fitting and very unflattering!
When I tried to return the product I got several emails telling me that I should keep it and they would give me discount on a further purchase ! They also offered me 15% back not to return it at all
Returns for Amara London are to China - postage cost for a £35 sale dress is £26
I will give it to charity
I would strongly recommend avoiding this site

This is for Amara-London which I have found out is a scam website. They say based in London , British designed and made but are in fact from China
Ordered two swimsuits with patented sculpt weave material for £59 ( RRP is £99 each)
2/4 days delivery turned into 16 days and from China not UK
Items were poor quality and fit and when I checked label it was identical to that from TEMU. Went on Temu site and found exact swimsuit at £6.99
No contact phone number but emailed my disappointment … received a chance to exchange for a different size at a cost of £9.99 and I can keep the original … obviously not even took any notice of my email. I have declined and asked for a full refund . I have also been onto trading standards as there website looks great but everything it claims it untrue. (There is an amara which sells homeware based in London so beware . ) As they are not registered and are based in China trading standards have no jurisdiction so I’m now trying my bank for a charge back
Please do not deal with them!!!!

SCAM COMPANY

Ordered a dress thinking this was an English company based in London. When it arrived was a cheap shoddily made item. On contacting them they did everything in their power to prevent a return and for a refund to be made. Eventually I was provided with the return address - in China. I had to provide proof of posting - track and trace via Royal Mail, and pay the cost- £16.Contacted them again after a month and what a surprise! to find the item had been held up in Chinese customs, about which they could do nothing to help. Since then they have not replied to any further e-mails. I expect never to hear from them again, nor to receive my refund and of course there is no telephone number to contact them. I was horrified to read on Trust Pilot how many people have been duped by them. These scammers must be laughing all the way to the bank. You have been warned!!!

Poor quality and no refunds

Item was poor quality and poor fit. Followed return policy but all they kept saying was parcel was held in customs. They refused to give me a refund despite constant requests. All their products are very poor quality and you will never receive a refund. Do not order anything from them. They do not have an outlet in London all products come direct from China and it will cost a lot of money to return them.

Frustrating and inefficient - appalling experience

From start to finish dealing with this company has been frustrating and inefficient. Endless emails asking for information gave poor results and inadequate details.
Items have to be returned to the Far East - info that is not clear in main publicity. It is there but at end.
I was constantly given varying offers of discounts to keep my order, when I wanted to return it.
Returned on 7th July and still no refund!
Would never recommend this firm!

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. The swimsuit I ordered was a different design and shape to the image shown on a well known platform, the sizing was way out and the "high-end" product "originally £90 now only £35.95" was shoddily made and poor quality. After quoting the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and asking for a refund in 14 days, I was "appeased" with the offer of filling out a comprehensive returns form and enclosing a multitude of paper work I had to locate MYSELF along with "a small fee of £9.95 to cover shipping fee (from China) for a replacement swimsuit and I "get to keep the original product". Bid deal! Citizens Advice, Trading Standards and Action Fraud are interested in this company, so my advice is STEER CLEAR. Meanwhile, I hope to recover MY money via my credit card company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I ordered a swimsuit on FRI 22AUG25. Since then, I have had 7 emails advising that my order is on its way. According to the 'track your order', Evri is still expecting the order. I wish I had read all the reviews before I bought it.
Eventually it turned up - very inferior quality. I requested a refund. Cost of swimsuit £34.95. Postal charge to refund £9.95. It has to be sent back to CHINA. I have accepted a 15% refund. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!

Amara is a joke. Do not buy

2 Items out of 3 certainly not as pictures on website. Cheap rubbish. I was offered a 25% refund but i wanted a full refund so paid £29 to return via PO tracked service. Items have been in customs for over 2 months then today arrive back at my address with a sticker saying items were never claimed in china.
All I wanted was a refund but I'm now almost £130 down and have 3 items that are complete rubbish. I will end up taking them to a charity shop. I've emailed customer services asking for a refund again but I'm betting they won't reply. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY .
Absolutely do not touch this company with a barge pole. I'm now trying to sell on vinted to try and recover something!!!
