Don't buy Amazon gift cards.

I was given a £20 Amazon gift card for Christmas and attempted to use it to purchase a couple of books. The web site advised me that the gift card had already been used even though I had just peeled away the tape to reveal the code. Eventually I managed to speak to Amazon who stated "afraid I can't do anything so will have to get my supervisor to contact you". That was over 3 weeks ago and still no contact. Would advise anyone NOT to buy Amazon gift cards. It was extremely difficult to speak to anyone at Amazon as most of it dealt with by an automatic voice!!!

The systme does not allow the agents to refund returned items

I have been contcating Amazon for the past 6 months for few returns that were never refunded, today I tried one more time and the agent was able to track the items and confirm they were returned on 17 November last year, but they did not have an option to refund the items becaus it have been 120 adys since the return!

Why have I been chasing a refubd for over 6 months, and why the agent doesnt have an option to refund? This company keeps going lower and lower, I dont think I will keep my Prime service and will start using other online platforms instead
The only reason I kept using Amazon despite the many issues was that they deliver next day and they were more trustworthy than other international companies, it is no longer the case!

ordered for a lot of money, but did not receive my items

Ordered a lot of stuff from Amazon UK. I did not receive a confirmation mail. I got some of the cheaper items a few weeks later, but the two more expensive items did not show up. I did get purchased for all of the items though (360£). This is so frustrating and it is impossible to get in contact with customer support. I will never buy from this place again, that’s for sure.

Terrible experience with Amazon Renewed

After years of trusting Amazon, this was one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had. I bought a laptop listed as “refurbished – excellent,” and what I received was a worn-out device: the camera recorded blurry video, the backspace key barely worked, the system hadn’t even been reset, and the laptop had obvious heavy wear. I returned it almost two weeks ago and still haven’t received my refund. I feel completely let down. It’s clear that Amazon is not properly overseeing the quality of products in their Renewed program. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Beware of recovering Returns Postage…

Beware of recovering Returns Postage Costs
In January, I returned the Gaming PC to the Amazon Fulfilment Warehouse in Indianapolis (this location was on the Shipping forms sent to me by Amazon, and verified with an Amazon Customer Services Agent). The only courier that I could find that would accept this package was UPS, and they charged me £364 which I paid before they collected it.
At the end of January. I contacted Amazon Customer Services and they told me that they would refund me the cost of the PC. They also told me that they would refund me for the cost of the shipment (£364) but that they would have to do it in 2 x £150 and 1 x £64 due to a limitation in their system.
On 03 February. My bank account received the refund for the PC and 1 x £150 and 1 x £64 leaving 1 x £150 outstanding.
Since then, I have made a numerous phone calls, sent a numerous emails to Customer Services and used their Chat Line. Each time the agent has been very helpful, confirms that I am due the £150 and tells me that they will escalate the release of the payment, but it never arrived in my bank.
It was only when I contacted the Twitter Amazon Support that the £150 finally arrived in my bank account in early May.

Fraud ignored by Amazon

I contacted them as a result of fraud on my account. £30 was stolen from a gift card I had registered and a further £54 stolen by visa. An illegal purchase has been made by hacking into my account a purchase is showing which was not made by me or with my knowledge. This is validated and confirmed twice by the Customer Service team (emails sent on 14/04 and 24/04 ) but still I have no refund or answers to questions posed. The replica email states I will be refunded in 2-3 days.

The time I have taken to try to establish whether theres been a security breach has been appalling. I have the name and address of where this product has supposedly been ordered by - that’s not to say this person genuinely has ordered this as they also may be scammed but I do know from minor investigations that they do work for a legitimate IT company company and are on Linked in. So how much of this is going on and ignored by Amazon uk? They won’t tell me if a security breach has occurred and how many customers could be affected How can I resolve this anyone please?

Appalling customer service when things are faulty
Tried to argue with me when a product failed after 90 days - will not use Amazon again. Having a customer service agent whose first language clearly isn’t English calling you a liar is not my idea of service.

i use amazon a lot i have used them for 6-7 years. recently i arranged to have some returns collected by royal mail for return to amazon. unfortunatel royal mail also took a parcek that they should not have, it was duly deliverd to amazon on 11th april. this parcek contains an item which was being sent to my insurance company as it is damaged. it has bee 2 weeks so far and amazon seem unable to find this parcel. even though it has a reference number written on the outside, now amazon say that they need another 2-3 weeks to locate it and return it to me. not what i expect from amazon, really pissed off, looks like i will be shopping elsewhere.

I had a notification that my order was lost

I had a notification that my order had been delayed and then lost.
They told me to claim a refund which I did which despite them telling me to claim refused.
I appealed twice only to be refused twice and told the item had been delivered despite them saying on the same day it was lost.
Trying to get hold of someone who could help was a nightmare but I did eventually get my refund!

Deteriorating by the day

so - deliveries are no longer what they advertise. Try to complain and standard Amazon options - item not delivered - come back in week - item says delivered but not - come back ina week and we will see if we can help you.
There is no customer service. Hidden in the vaults of incompetence land. I have had too many failed deliveries - too many delivered but not received. The EVRI company used is irresponsible but are allowed to operate under Amazon and do what they like. Its not on Amazon. Paying for Prime and eceiving an unreliable service. I have started to shop with others. No doubt many others will follow my lead if this issue isnt addressed.

Amazon's madness, the fortune of others

several times I made a purchase of just under £1200, several times after ten minutes I received the refund on my credit card, I tried to chat, the button appeared but the window did not open, I tried to book a call, a puzzle appeared that is not intuitive, I tried about ten times, then I closed and made the purchase elsewhere. Amazon invents crazy things, the customer sends them to pick the flowers and buys from others

Amazon supress unfavourable { Accurate } reviews.

Only the latest of a review I wrote for Amazon. Based on my experience. Deemed not to comply with Amazon’s ‘ guidelines ‘
As follows:-

Earbay Wireless headset Purchased 12th May 2024 and faied a few days ago.

Yet another Amazon sourced device which has FAILED within the first twelve months of use. Not yet one year old.
It suddenly stopped working with my PC. So I reinstalled it U/S
Tried with two other PCs and one laptop U/S
Then tried a cheap microphone on all FOUR computers. It worked very time.

The conclusion is that the EASY WIRELESS HEADSET is USELESS U/S
{ End }
Odd. Because there are many ‘ One star ‘ negative reviews on the site.
Why is Amazon playing ‘ favourites ‘ with me ?

I purchased a Samsung phone last week…

I purchased a Samsung phone last week from a company e links, that are advertising phones on the Amazon UK site. When I tried to insure my device through Samsung, they will not insure it as the company has sold me an eu version which most companies will not insure.
I was fuming as nowhere did it say it was a eu version.
After liaising with Amazon and the company themselves, although a refund was offered, I have to send the phone back factory reset, which means I will loose all my important information. Do they care, not a jot. Surely, they could first send me a uk replacement and let me transfer my info first, as the problem is no fault of me own. I was willing to sign any documents they needed to safeguard themselves but neither company are interested. I'm absolutely fuming. Not only that, I have to pay for sending it back. I'm a 64yr old lady, I'm disabled and housebound, my " life" is on my phone so I'm not a happy customer at all. I purchased of amazon every month but will now consider another company. And the company E Links, well it's not in their policy! Disgraceful. Buyers beware if you're buying through Amazon, ELinks are a disgrace in my opinion, advertising they've sold over 200 phones with Amazon, I wonder how many people have been sold an EU version?? At a guess, I'd say that I bet they get the EU versions alot cheaper than the UK ones and still selling at the same prices as the other companies are selling the UK versions. Tutt tutt

Beware of how difficult Amazon UK are to deal with when things go wrong

Ordered Chip cover paint that didn't match my car. Was made to paint some of the non-matching paint on my car , send in pictures and then was told (presumably by a friend of Stevie Wonder!) that there was not problem with the paint!! Poor process, difficult to get hold of people to talk to, issue can't be resolved by the bots and so the saga continues for over a week!! Amazon is meant to be hugely customer centric- I find them an aloof and distinctly difficult company to deal with despite being a Prime member!

Service is getting unreliable

Second order in the last 6 months with the wrong item sent and also had 2 deliveries in the last couple of months that were sent on time but delayed. Been a long time buyer but I'm starting to think I can't rely on them to deliver what I order when they say they will.

All sent back and had message saying it is back and accepted but will have to wait at least 14 days for refund?? Amazon are quick enough to take the money but not give it back when they sell broken or counterfeit goods

Duplicitous, dishonourable and disgraceful.

Shocking - untrustworthy, duplicitous and masters at avoiding responsibility- Twas never like this when Jeff Besoz was in charge - Andy Jassal Worldwide CEO has a lot to answer for - except of course he hides behind his email address - gutless- brave in the boardroom but a coward in battle.

Mothers day fail

Ordered flowers from amazon who messed up and delivered mothers day flowers 350 miles from correct address. Admitted failure. Well thanks. NowI look uncaring and feel a fool. If they put as much effort into delivering orders as avoiding taxes they'd be great. Not even an appology bunch of flowers to my mum. Unless and uncaring.
