Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 456 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the subscription, feeling it no longer offered value for money due to increased prices and diminished benefits. The delivery service was a major point of contention, with numerous complaints about delayed, unreliable, and even missing packages, despite paying for expedited shipping. Reviewers also found the product quality and service to be declining, often receiving wrong or damaged items and facing difficulties with customer support. The content offered through the service was also criticized, as many films and series required additional payment or were interrupted by ads, further diminishing the perceived value of the subscription. However, some customers still appreciate the broad selection of products and the convenience of shopping, though they acknowledge the recent decline in service quality.

When things go to plan

When things go to plan, it’s all good. However, when they don’t, it’s extremely frustrating to get any kind of response, messaging an AI is NOT helpful, you spend SO much time going round in circles, that you get frustrated and give up. Therefore not resolving the issue, case in point, next day delivery on an item, that was placed on May 13th and still no sign of it, order showing “delivery date currently unavailable”. I’ve tried to cancel the order, but because it’s “expedited to be delivered” there is nothing I can do, trying to ask, when can I expect it, it goes back to “delivery date currently unavailable” 🤯

You should offer NO STARS

You should offer NO STARS! Amazon stinks for customer service. They hire overseas too cheap to hire Americans that speak and understand English. And the overseas reps don't get it and just argue with you, no help whatsoever. I called 12 times for one problem, it wasn't resolved, and all I got was aggravated! Waste of time BEZOS, your customer service STINKS!!!You can afford to hire AMERICANS!

If u was lucky to catch somebody from support, they r talking rude, without any respect, they dont solve problems. I will return all what ive bought and will not use it any more. Prices r sometimes 5 times higher than at another sites, hided return conditions, dont trust if there is written 30 days return, sometimes its fake and u can not make return and amazon doing nothing to help u or to solve yr problem cuz of they own lie. shame for amazon and its team

I pay for Prime because of the delivery…

I pay for Prime because of the delivery promises, not excuses. Lately, multiple packages have been delayed past the guaranteed dates, and it’s becoming ridiculous. If a billion-dollar company cannot provide accurate delivery estimates, then stop advertising them as guarantees. Customers are paying for reliability, and this service has become frustratingly inconsistent. One or two delays are understandable — several is a pattern. Very disappointed with the lack of accountability and accuracy.

I honestly keep trying to give Amazon…

I honestly keep trying to give Amazon Prime Video another chance and every time I end up disappointed 😭 Netflix is just way better overall in my opinion.

The ONE thing I used to really like about Prime Video was being able to rent movies that were still in theaters from home, but now you can literally do that on Apple TV too… and honestly Apple TV’s platform is way cleaner and easier to use.

Prime Video feels so messy. Half the time you don’t even know what’s actually included with your subscription because they mix Prime content with paid content everywhere. And what’s even more annoying is paying extra to remove ads… only to still get constantly pushed ads and promoted content for other things on the platform 💀

Also the shows are weirdly trashy most of the time compared to Netflix or Apple TV originals. Netflix just has way better series, a smoother app, and less confusion overall.

At this point my honest combo would just be Netflix + Apple TV and skip Prime Video entirely unless you already have it for the delivery benefits.

I never ordered Amazon Prime and have never used it. I keep getting billed for it. Have tried numerous times to get it stopped and charges reversed. Always get someone in another country, whose language is certainly not English. Never any help only runaround. It seems a highly unethical practice.

Poor on Refund

Honestly, in most cases Amazon are amazing, but when they get it wrong it’s so frustrating😡 Order something for £20.21 on the 7th May, nothing turned up and just that silly update on the app saying expected. I ring up on the 12th May and they say I’m giving you a good will gesture refund of £20.21, and you can keep the product when it turns up, but if it doesn’t turn up we will give you a credit again! Well it never turned up, so I call again because Mr AI can’t help me and am told I have 2 credits for £20.21 to come now. One from Amazon and one from the 3rd party seller. Nothing as yet😡 Amazing that they can take money instantly, but take so long to refund you. Not good enough, because I spend with Amazon and then have to source the product from an alternative company and fork the money out again before I get my money back from Amazon😡 I spend thousands with Amazon and get treated so badly! Amazon Customer Service Team,

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding my recent experience with Amazon Prime customer service and the handling of my order. As a paying Prime member, it is disappointing to experience ongoing issues with order fulfillment and inconsistent information being provided by customer support representatives.

One of the primary benefits promoted through Amazon Prime is expedited shipping, including one-day and two-day delivery options. However, customers continue to experience situations where orders are not delivered within the timeframe promised at the time of purchase. In my case, my order missed not just one but two expected delivery dates.

Following these delays, I contacted customer service and was advised by an Amazon representative that due to the inconvenience caused, I would be allowed to keep the items if they eventually arrived and would also receive a refund for the order. I relied on the information that was provided by your representative.

Subsequently, I discovered that the delivery status reflected that my five purchased items had allegedly been delivered to a residential mailbox at approximately 11:30 a.m. However, the delivery address on file was a business location, and clear delivery instructions had been provided requesting that the package be left at the receptionist desk. This delivery information appears inaccurate and raises significant concerns regarding the handling and whereabouts of my package.

After contacting Amazon customer service again to report the issue and express concerns that the package may have been mishandled or stolen, I was informed that because I had already been issued a refund, my items would not be replaced. This was despite there reportedly being documented notes within the system reflecting the previous representative's statement that I would both retain the delayed items if received and receive a refund due to the inconvenience resulting from the shipping issue.

The conflicting information and lack of accountability surrounding this situation are frustrating. Customers pay for Prime services with the expectation of reliable delivery and consistent customer support. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed further, including the discrepancies surrounding the delivery status and the handling of my claim, as I believe the resolution provided has been unfair and inconsistent with the information previously communicated to me.

I would appreciate a review of this matter and a response regarding how Amazon intends to address these concerns.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

More times than not my prime deliveries arrive late - not just a day or two - but up to a week late. I use to be able to email customer service, that no longer seems ro be an option. I pay for this service and it means absolutely nothing! I can't imagine the poor service those who are not paying for this premium service - which actually means zilch! The only help you get is that dang help section which is just not worth even reading.
More and more I am using Walmart, which honestly is a much better option.
Same on Amazon for what they have become.

Amazon Products quality, reviews

I've been an Amazon Prime member for about six or seven years, but lately, their refund policy and product quality have gone downhill. I've received wrong items that feel like Temu quality but at Amazon prices. When I tried to get a refund for returns, it failed. Customer support eventually got the payment returned, but then it was declined again—it's been really confusing and stressful. I've also gotten leaky and damaged products, and they wanted me to return heavy items to specific stores for a free return. Plus, Amazon won't let me write reviews about product quality and delivery; it seems like only paid and positive feedback is allowed. Just be careful what you buy!
