It was a great experience. All staff were polite friendly and professional. Only bad thing was the television in cabins could of had a movie channel for the days at sea

This was my first cruise and it exceeded my expectations. From the ease of bording at Belfast to the amazing food and the great entertainment. My absolute favourite was the Simon and Garfunkel evening. The staff went out of their way to make our experience truly unforgettable.

Our worst cruise experience to date.
Very poor food options - exactly the same food in the dining room and the buffet with limited choices. Only other option was the dire offerings on the outside grill.
The whole ship was like a care home at sea. Boiling hot everywhere. Probably 75% of fellow guests were over 75 with major walking difficulties and miserable faces.
The hot tubs, pools and saunas were shut down on day 3. No lemons/cherries in drinks or drinks mats allowed from day 3 onwards. Allegedly this was due to noravirus however, crafting and other activities with shared tools still allowed to go ahead.
We witnessed several elderly people not washing their hands/using sanitiser whilst entering food areas and not being tackled by members of staff.
The ship rocks all over the place. I'm a regular cruise and never seasick, but had to take a seasickness tablet every single day.
Entertainment on sea days was virtually non existent. Not once was there any entertainment on the outside deck. I will admit the entertainment in The Cavern of an evening was good, but who wants to got to the same place every single evening. Apart from a singer on a couple of nights, the other evening entertainment consisted of a violin player and a keyboard player.
On our penultimate day we were told if we chose not to get off the ship then we had to be confined to cabin or The Cavern lounge due to cleaning. Ambassador were more concerned about the new people getting onboard than the existing customers.
The staff are lovely but it must be a hard 9 months for them being onboard a care home!
Sailing direct from Liverpool was extremely easy, but to be honest, I'd rather fly or drive to Southampton than get on another Ambassador.
If we'd been made aware of the Ambassador 48 hour money back guarantee then we would have used this and left the ship in the first couple of days.

This is my second cruise holiday and went with Ambassador again.
Firstly it’s on my doorstep, Merseyside Liverpool docking, so couldn’t be more convenient !
Secondly, if you are wanting short ‘tester’
periods (5 day, 8 day,) it’s only two days at sea and seeing parts of UK never visited before and this time France- St Malo … beautiful and Belfast Titanic Museum is a must!
Thirdly, the passengers are friendly, there are lots of things to do from jigsaws to stage shows, on land tours to fine dining, inside cabins to suites.
I love my food and apart from the first night, can honestly say the food was excellent and the service impeccable .
If you have a complaint and you speak to reception or management, you are heard and it’s sorted .
Lastly it’s an adult only cruise line, possibly not the best for wheelchairs or disabled on embarking and disembarking (but doing their best)
Lifts can be a little bit confusing with missed floors so maybe more signage or information would be helpful.
The crew work hard and long hours and can be forgiven for seeming a bit tired at times however if you are not expecting nor indeed enjoy stifling formality, then this is a great introduction to cruising. !

Appalling treatment from Ambassador! Booked a cruise Oct 24 to sail July 26 as we needed an accessible cabin for a full time wheelchair user.
They waited until June 26 to cancel our holiday due to the port we are sailing from not being suitable.......they knew my husband was wheelchair bound at the time and the port we were sailing from so why let us book and wait until we are weeks away from sailing to cancel on us!?
They aren't even sorry about it which is the worst part, despite leaving us with no holiday and last minute holidays for someone wheelchair bound isnt easy to find!
Would avoid as a disabled person and able bodied person based on the lack of care they show to customers including the travel agent!
In response to the reply from Ambassador i did, and they didn't want to know! Basically they will only speak with our travel agent directly who they also shut down and didn't care. Appalling customer treatment and service.

We had no experience of cruising, either by advertising or word of mouth. The decision was made because we had the opportunity to sail from our local port( Belfast).
From the moment we arrived at the embarkation area to the time we said our goodbyes at the end, we felt that we were part of a family. Every member of staff made us feel that we were important to them.
On board, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, too many things to do to talk about individually. The food, in our opinion, was delightful, and the accommodation(balcony)was really comfortable.
We would definitely do another cruise, but as we are both in our 80's, we are unsure about booking too far in advance.
Well done Abassador and Ambition in particular.

I can't fault the service, entertainment and atmosphere I experienced whilst I was on my trip on Ambition recently.
If I can offer 2 small areas that would make things even better, firstly, show arrows of which way to queue in the buffet areas, secondly, have more short trips from Liverpool, as there doesn't appear to be as many as on your southern ports.

Enjoyed the cruise and the opportunity to visit some new ports. We were unfortunate to have an outbreak of Norovirus on the ship. It was dealt with very efficiently by the crew and every effort made to stop the spread. Hence my 4 stars. Not because of the ship or experience, just because it made us a little concerned. It was heightened some by the recent outbreak on the ship in South America with Hantavirus. The Captain and crew were marvellous and are to be commended. The overall experience was good. Ports, entertainment and food made our cruise memorable. We liked the smaller ship experience too.

My wife and I have been on our first cruise on board ambition commencing 28th May and due to end 4th June 2026.
We have nothing negative to say about the entire staff who have gone above and beyond to assist and facilitate all our needs.
The only slight criticism we would like to raise in in relation to our evening meal on 2nd May which we we're obliged to partake of in the Borough Market instead of Buckingham restaurant due to a captain's dining event . The food and service was excellent however the restaurant was extremely cold and as a result the main course for the most part was cold before it could be consumed unlike that of evening meals taken in Buckingham restaurant at table allocated and of course their was no menu at table to choose from or table service available. We can appreciate that some guests might wish too partake of captains dining event , however it appears that this results in the majority of passengers on at leat two nights are subjected too a lower standard of dining experience.

On board Ambition at the moment, pleasantly surprised.
Usually sail Marella, but husband can't fly at the moment so got a last minute cancellation from Liverpool (just an hours drive away).
Cabin lovely and cozy, spotlessly clean, great location 8123. Large picture window.
Buckingham restaurant lovely, food great, great service.
Market Place...small & busy. Staff currently serving food in buffet here to prevent norovirus. Good idea but queues form. Food nice though.
Bars lovely, waiting staff fab, never wait long for a drink.
Theatre... last night's show was called musicals and was better than any I've seen on Marella! Very talented cast!
I'd definitely book another Ambassador cruise, but there are very few from Liverpool. Itinerarys are limited, eg this is Cornwall, France and Ireland, not many to Spain...and not from Liverpool, none to Greece etc.
The ship is an older ship so hasn't got the razzmataz of other ships I've been on, but honestly we are really enjoying it!

The perfect size of the ship. The lovely bars and lounges. Great food. Amazing staff. especially Ken and Bayu in the Botanical Lounge.

This was a lovely cruise visiting places we hadn't visited before. The crew/staff were wonderful. Always had a smile and a cheery hello. Nothing was too much trouble. The ship is very clean although some places are looking a bit tired. The food was excellent but some attention could be paid to the dishwasher, as I had several dirty plates. The evening entertainment was superb and the energy of the entertainment crew was unbounded. Day time entertainment on sea days was a bit lacking for men. Overall we had a jo;;y good holiday.

First time cruising with Ambassador and it certainly won't be our last. Embarkation and disembarkation ran very smoothly. Ship immaculate. All staff extremely helpful and friendly. The only grumble I have is there could be more choice in the buffet restaurant. Other than that everything top notch. Entertainment excellent. Cruised from Liverpool which was very handy.

Totally changed our itinerary from Norway to a baltics tour to industrial ports. Customer Service atrocious don’t use

Our first time with Ambassedor was a dissapointing time. breakfast buffet was crowded and noisy, an out break of Nora virus made it difficult to enjoy some of the things on offer. paid extra for decent Wfi although it was in the package ..very poor ..the pools and jacuzzi was closed day 2 and never opened durin the 14 days we were aboard. day 13 Belfast, we were more or less asked to vacate the ship for deep cleaning or stay in your cabin or gather in a designated bar and not leave until the cleaning was done 4.5 hrs later, we would not be able to walk round the ship during that time, those boarding in Belfast were told same, not a great way to spent your 1st day. seemed poorly managed all round we won't be going back.

The entertainment team.... Roman, Annie, Adam, Bethan, Hannah. Sorry if I left anyone out. The waiting staff are amazing also, very friendly.
Only grip i have is the water situation. Paying so much for the premium package and not having bottled water. But would definitely recommend it. Well done everyone!
