WORSE COSTUMER SERVICE
I recently called this company to opt-out of their mailing list, and the process took seven minutes. The representative kept asking for a reason, insisting I needed to provide one to opt-out. I explained again that I wasn't interested and that everything in my house is new, he responded, "that doesn’t mean anything." This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

The worse experience I ever had in my life.. I feel duped, lie to and mislead. I went with this company because they say they offer landscaping for a deductible of $85. This morning I just paid my bill and needed that landscaping done. So I put in a claim & they say they don’t have landscaping, but they do have handyman services. I say well does that take care of the landscaping & they said yes. It went from $85 to $220! I was told for $85 I can get my landscaping done. I went ahead and canceled and they did not prorate the money I just paid the morning of.. I highly recommend to never deal with this company ever in life. Let them rot away… Just horrible!!😤
It seems they do these foul actions with a sense of pride… They do not try to understand or accommodate you under any circumstances..
Scam company
Scam company. They pose as your mortgage company and try to “extend” your warranty. They hang up on you when you dont want to sign up or ask them to stop lol.
Deception From the Very Start
I've never signed-up for this company's offerings, and never will. American Home Protect uses deception as their leading business practice. Over the past 3 years, and as recently as this past February, 2024, I have received numerous misleading mail pieces from them, claiming in urgent language that my home warranty is about to expire. With my mortgage company's name printed in bold letters at the head of these mailings, it looks like each notice is an urgent warning from my lender. So, naturally, one would be concerned upon receiving such a letter. But I have never had a home warranty (first warning of a scam); and the printed lender's name is not the name of my current lender (second sign of a scam in progress). Well over a year ago, I wrote to American Home Protect, requesting that they cease sending me these fraudulent notifications, yet their threatening notices still appear in my mail. Just read all the other, similar complaints about this company's misleading business practices. There are over 200 complaints filed against them at the Better Business Bureau, alone. One would have to be something of a "dim bulb" to fall for this company's misleading solicitations. Clearly, that's what it is counting on to drum-up new business. Don't succumb to their ruse! A company which employs deception from the get-go is going to get the better of you, in the end.
Mail Scammers
Business repeatedly mails solicitations to my home under a false name. No one by the name of ************************* lives at this address. I've called this business and asked that I be removed from mailings without success. The letters continue. I want this business to stop sending letters to my home.
I have request the company stop sending me all advertising and contact, including their predatory mailers. After a year the letters keep coming. Calling the company again results in their employees talking back and refusing to provide real acknowledgement that you've been added to their DNC.

Nothing more than an old fashioned boiler room operation.
Scammers!!!
This company takes advantage of home owners; stop sending envelopes with “second notice” on it, your sorry excuse for a company preys on people.

I received a bogus bill in monetary check envelope. It says I purchased a warranty from them and I never did. It says it will lapse in 10 days. They are liars and a fraudulent company. And I’m happy to add to the number of complaints against these lying devils. I hope they are found criminally culpable and receive jail time for fraud.

SCAM alert!! This is absolute fraud!
Got a letter in the mail for a house I do no even own!! Then got a second urgent notice to call within 10 days or my homeowner’s policy coverage would lapse. I never did any business with them, since I don’t even own the home in question. It’s a 2-family house and I rent out one floor. Their "sales" tactics are definitely shady. They send letters making it look like they are affiliated with “your” mortgage company and this is something you have to do. They even send 2nd, 3rd, and final notice letters with the different colored envelopes. I could see how some people would easily fall for this. This is a total SCAM. Beware and don’t call them!! Just throw out the letters you get
