Never ever gonna recommend on joining…

Never ever gonna recommend on joining the membership. Especially if you are a working a person. Once you join the membership there is no way to cancel it. The only way is you have "medical issue" or leaving the country. As from the working person who barely have time to go anywhere, I regret joining it. Now I have to pay monthly even tho I don't have time to go to gym, until end of my contract. I wish I never join this. Lesson learned.

Do not Join Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi, India

This review is for Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi, India and for Anytime Fitness Corporate office in India

Me and my wife joined Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi, India in Aug 2024. We live nearby, so it was a good option, considering the brand Anytime Fitness and we got a good deal for our full year package that came to just about Rs.1700/- per month per person. We were happy.

But as soon as we started we found things were not at all good. My wife wanted to join because of activity classes, but the activity room was so small, barely Ten people could fit in it. The old members would often fight for their spot, leaving new members with little option, to stand at the back or move out.

Members would be found occupying machines while sitting idle, watching videos, doing nothing, while other waited.

Trainers did nothing for the members, no help, no guidance. They would target ladies for personal training and work with them only. It did not bother me, because i did not need their help anyway.

For me cardio was the thing, and i did cycling and walking etc. It was suffocating and hot at times and then i noticed that the ACs and fans we shut down most of the times or at bare minimum.

As summers started, asking them to switch on the ACs became a regular part of my visit and they would give excuses like - ACs not serviced yet, summers have not started (in April) and we are just employees, etc.

After weeks of neglect and inaction from management, i contacted the Anytime Fitness head office in India by email. They wrote back that their gyms are franchise owned and operated, so they can do nothing more than forwarding my concern back to them.

The ACs worked for some time afterwords and stopped working again barely after a month and left with no option, i stopped going to the gym altogether. It was too much asking them for the basics everyday, and watching them ignore it as much as possible.

The membership ended.

At the time of joining, we were told to pay up Rs.1000/- more for access card fee and were informed that it is refundable. After we told them, we won't renew membership, they told us that there will be no refund as policy has changed.

I mailed their Anytime Fitness Corporate office in India in Aug 25, telling them what is going on and that we feel cheated. They asked me to wait and i gave them all the time to do something.

To my surprise they sent a mail marked to me on 31st Dec 2025 saying that they are closing the matter as there is no further communication going on. The trail mail showed that the Anytime Fitness Corporate in India got no response from their own franchise - Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi for months!

I have never come across such lack of professionalism in my life. Projecting a grand image to gain new members by telling lies and making endless excuses for mismanaging everything is what Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi is all about.

I am sharing this here because after repeat reminders to Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi, they have chosen to ignore my concerns and have failed to refund the access card fee deposit.

For people who want to join Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi - Please be mindful of commitments they make at the time of selling membership - they will refuse to acknowledge your existence when they get your money.

Please save yourself from the unpleasant experiences - Do not join Anytime Fitness Gym at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi.

I've been paying for a gym I literally…

I've been paying for a gym I literally cannot enter.

Let that sink in. Monthly charges hitting my credit card like clockwork for years while I'm locked out at the door. No outstanding balance in my account. No missed payments. Just a membership card that might as well be a coaster.

When I tried calling this location? Silence. Nobody picks up. Ever. I had to track down a completely different branch just to speak to a human being, and their solution? "You need to go in person to that location because of outstanding invoices." What invoices? The ones that don't exist in your own system? The ones you never notified me about while happily swiping my card every single month?

This isn't customer service. It's customer hostage-taking. They'll take your money with zero friction, but the moment you need actual access to the thing you're paying for, you're on your own. No answers. No accountability. Just the privilege of chasing down staff across multiple locations to beg for entry to a facility you've already funded.

If you enjoy paying premium prices for phantom memberships and speaking to voicemail, this is your place. Everyone else: run.

Loyal Member

I became a member of Anytime Fitness in Spring of 2014. They had opened a new location where I was living in Nebraska. The gym was great. Staff was great. For over 10 years I continued my membership and never had really any issues. Late 2024 came and I started traveling more with my job. I've been to countless Anytime places throughout the US. Reason why I became a member. I had a 3 month job in Omaha where I would split my time at two different gyms (gyms not in same town.) Usually 3 days at one and 3-4 days at the other. About 20ish days into going to this gym I received an email saying that my plan was increasing by $12.00 and had to change "home gym location." I emailed back saying that I travel for work and I'm only here for a couple of months. I was told that didn't matter and needed to pay the increase in price if I wanted to work out there anymore. Needless to say I'm no longer with Anytime Fitness and was very disappointed with how everything turned out. Over 10 years as a member and they could have cared less to see me go..

The is regarding Anytime Fitness…

The is regarding Anytime Fitness Addlestone, and I have listed the events in bullets points below.

* 2025.01.01 - DD of £37.99 was taken from the account.
* 2025.01.04 - An email was sent to me, by the gym management, to inform that the gym is closed from 15 December 2025. No mention of the reopen date but said shortly after festive period.
* 2025.01.06 - I replied to the above email requesting for a refund for the period that will be closed.
* 2025.01.11 - The gym management replied saying they are allowed to close on temporary basis and any membership paid will not be refunded as its within Terms and Conditions. This is what they said exactly "As outlined in the membership agreement, Anytime Fitness may temporarily close parts or all of the club for maintenance or improvement works. These periods are non-refundable and we are operating within those agreed terms.".

Basically, what they have done is that they waited till the gym subscription is taken, which is on the 1st of every month, and then sent an email to say the gym will be closed from 15 December 2025.

If they have emailed before December then I would have cancel the membership and joined another club as this is not the first time I had to go through this. This happened with another gym before as well, where the gym was closed for nearly 1.5 months.

As the gym did not mention when it will be reopened, I did not know what alternative actions I could take. I cannot join another gym as I will be paying double for December. Also, I did call the gym, numerous times, last week, but no one answered the phone; I have also left voice messages requesting to call me back and start date, but no call back yet.

Just because its included in the T&C doesn't mean you abuse it by delaying the information given to the users.

Something to consider when joining the gym.

Cancellation Nightmare

Cancellation Nightmare. Anytime Fitness is no different than Amazon Prime when it comes to cancelling. Amazon is being sued and so should Anytime Fitness. Stay away from this gym or else you will experience the nightmare to cancel.

Amazon is facing major lawsuits and a historic $2.5 billion settlement with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over deceptive "dark patterns" used to trick millions into Prime subscriptions and make cancellation difficult, resulting in $1.5 billion for customer refunds and a $1 billion penalty, with payouts starting late 2025. Separately, class actions continue in Canada and elsewhere, alleging similar manipulative practices, while Amazon also faces an antitrust case.

Better stay away from this gym

Better stay away from this gym, no equipment, trainers need a trainer…, harsh treatment on the phone, better stay time which’s in membership, other wise you need to pay what’s left without going and ended the membership, better stay till the end, sneaky place, I offer for everybody run as much as possible away from them, overpaying and gym is not worth that price, I paid two times in first two weeks

Recently moved to New Zealand from Ireland and signed up for a 1 week free trial, I’m in Auckland for 1 week before I head to wellington and they didn’t honour my 1 week pass because my address right now is a hostel lol. Absolutely pathetic and it doesn’t mention it anywhere in their t&c. Going by their reviews online they aren’t a good gym to join! Would be avoiding

It has been quite a while that I am…

It has been quite a while that I am willing to write this email and I am not even sure if someone will get to read it but the extent of my astonishment regarding your franchising in the UK is unbearable.
The UK and specifically LONDON has the worse anytime gym on EARTH. I have USA, Australia, Italy, Philippines, Thailand , Spain etc and ALL PF THEM are decent places. But in the UK you dont get half of a decent service and equipment you get anywhere else. The gyms here are dirty, lack of equipments, small, sticking people, AGGRESSIVE MANAGER (Chelsea) . The high street Kingston branch is so disgusting, dirty, OLD, ALL EQUIPMENTS ARE BROKEN and the chocking part is it is on the underground of a 5 stars hotel???? LIKE WHAT??? WHERE THE OWNER IS PUTTING THE MONEY THEY GET FROM MEMBERS? It looks like a laundry money place seriously….
I have worked for the company and now I am a member because UNFORTUNATELY the zone i live in London that’s the only accessible gym for me. Otherwise I wouldn’t use this gym at all.
You guys need to do something. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE A CITY LIKE LONDON HAS THE WORSE FITNESS gyms in the world.

Avoid this gym at all costs!

I hope anyone reading this saves their money and avoids this franchise at ALL COSTS. To put it frankly, this is the worst gym I have ever been to. Despite UK consumer law, they act as if they can violate the terms of the contract to force you to keep paying. Even when cancellation requests are allowed for specific reasons, when you actually meet those reasons your request is declined. I moved away and hadn’t used the gym for six months, yet not only did they refuse to cancel, they took over a month to respond initially. You have to go through the official channels to cancel, which I did via their website — I followed the rules exactly, emailed and called multiple times, yet still nothing was resolved. Their employees are trained to ignore everything, repeatedly quote terms and conditions, and act as if nothing else matters — even when they themselves are breaking the rules. On top of that, they continue to send threats of late fees and arrears for months I haven’t used the gym, making the experience unnecessarily stressful and aggressive. Honestly, I would warn anyone against signing up — the customer service is non-existent and the contract enforcement is completely one-sided. And if all of this wasn’t bad enough, depending on the gym (as some are okay), my one was small and had old, outdated equipment.

Check your credit reports everyone

I had 4 months to go to at the Porthope ontario location which I tried canceling multiple times cause Shannon the so called manager screwed up on the dates I wanted my fees to come out I received multiple nsf charges . Put a stop payment and everything ,I had a message from the owner kevin and he said in his message ,he couldn't guarantee my credit rating would not be effected . I reported that to my bank and the manager at my bank told them to go f..themselves . I talked to the owner Kevin once and that was January 7th 2025 ..in the last 3 months I have on my credit report a 5137.00 another one for 294.00 and today one for 400.00. 2 of those were may 31 2023. I hadn't even joined there at that time. The other one was may 24 2024 . Little did they know my bank was well aware of everything and I had called transunion regarding the 294.00 one and within a short time the 5137.00 and 400.00 apparently opened in 2023 were listed . They weren't there when I called the first time. So not only does transunion know they weren't there so does scotia bank. I decided to wait it out cause investigations especially government ones take time. The messed up 2 collection agencies on the same day and same year . Busted big time. The one collections for 2 of them is Finna debt rec. Sounds like find a debt rec. The newest one is Gatestone &Co . Dated May 31 2023 .so Finna debt rec for 5137.00 was also dated May 31 2023 . The debt collectors buy the debts from the company so anytime gets their fraudulent money by them to destroy my credit but it backfired big time. This location maybe the only anytime fitness that damages this way but Porthope Ontario diffenetly did it. If they are not in prison today they will be ANYTIME!!

One of the best places I have ever…

One of the best places I have ever trained in the UK!
I belong to ATF Ringwood and it's amazing, the staff are approachable, polite and helpful at all times. It's cleaned on the regular basis by the staff and they don't mind. Yes they do not have all the equipment yet but it's a very good place to be, not only to train but just relax and chill.

Fairly Great

The one I go to most of the time in High St in Jackson seems okay in terms of equipment and cleanliness but sometimes the staff are snobby.

They took extra money out & refuse to be honest

Here's my experience with Anytime Fitness In Calgary. Brentwood location

I was charged extra from Anytime Fitness in Brentwood Calgary.
Biweekly fees are $26.24 TWICE a month
The enhancement fee is $40.95 once a year
I was charged $67.19 instead of $40.95
When speaking to the Brentwood location the manager denies he took out more. He not only refused to refund the money he stole, he refuses to cancel my membership and tries to gaslight me saying he only took out $40.95
I took bank statement screen shots and showed him and he still denies it even with proof.

I contact my bank and now they are investigating, contacted BBB, consumer reports and of course every place I can share my experience I am.

Allowing clients with influenza A virus to enter gym

Shame on people who came 2 this gym at terry road, box hill, sydney last week with influenza A and para influenza virus and putting lives of seniors at risk...this serious viral infection spreaded from senior to 9month baby n her mum...whole life was made upside down and stilldown...v always use wipes at start of using any machine or weights...still caught virus, could be in air or via A/C...Do not put seniors lives at risk, stay at home if unwell....gym should have temperature sensor at entry that beeps if someone has fever...gym should get A/C filters cleaned and ensure proper cleaning is done before gym opens.Actions by gym reqd not justification as gym is the biggest carrier of germs, virus and bacteria.rather than sitting on bums, gym staff should question those looking unwell or watch the camera live feed n keep some windows open, even with A/C on.

This Gym Does Not Respect its Members!

When a gym member I didn't know called me a "F-ing Faggot" for no reason, I reported him to AF. It took them weeks to take any action and to at least warn him or ban him. Finally they did ban him. AF told me they had him on video. I asked them to SAVE the video in case the guy retaliates against me. AF turned around and claimed they had NO video and that they have NO cams. WTH!! That lie was invented by David Gieselman, the gym owner, for God knows what reason. I now have a complaint in to Self Esteem Brands, which owns AF and which franchises out the gym to Geiselman. Where is the honesty in business?!
