Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting, 60 charge for a 3 MIN stay, because low behold, driving for 2 hours after you expect to pay at the barrier before completing an 8 hour shift at work, one forgets. Of course i did remember 3 days later BEFORE i got any letter and attempted to pay and was told it was too late, it had already been processed, which is curious because the letter that arrived said it was process 2 days AFTER i called. They are liers, they are disgusting human being with zero empathy or understanding, this "people" should be banned from operating this way, especially these automatic charges, i cant honestly believe this is allowed, its an AIRPORT, you are leaving the area trying to avoid running over people in the dark, the last thing you think about is the sign post which you only see as you leave on a multi hour road trip. Their customer service is appaling and of course is in India and their "appeal" process lacks any credability. Honestly, i cant think of a more detestable company than these people and i will do everything within my power to make their lives a little harder in the future, Starting with our MP.

Absolutely disgusting...how to ruin…

Absolutely disgusting...how to ruin someone's holiday - 24 hours is not enough time to pay a parking fee - this should be at least a week's grace. After 24 hours hit with £100 fine for pulling in the airport and straight out...DISGUSTING - you should be ashamed of yourselves. Had a stressful start to the holiday and forgot to pay within 24 hours - APPALING SERVICE - what happens if you have not internet or no phone.

I used Rapid Drop off at EMA on…

I used Rapid Drop off at EMA on 18/02/2026. My husband dropped me and my son off at 05.05. On the 19/02/2026 at 10.15 i paid the fee through the EMA rapid drop off site. The money as been taken out of my account at that same time. Then did the same on return. I then received a penalty charge for non payment on the 19/02/2026. I've appealed this sent screenshot of my a count payment, given the first 6 digits of my account and last 4. Name and address of who the car is registered to, these are what was asked for, yet the penalty was sent to the registered keeper. Still waiting for this to be sorted 14/03/2026. I've never had a fine in my 65 years, I pay what I owe, I have proof of this. Causing me anxiety, I think they hope that people think i can't be doing with this and they pay the fine. Disgusted with this company. Get your act together

Downloaded the app to park at hospital…

Downloaded the app to park at hospital on 02.03.26. Went to extend parking and instead if extending they double charged. No way of contacting them. So used their complaints procedure to report and request £2,70 refund. Complaints procedures says immediate acknowledgement would br sent. No acknowledgement received chased again on 12.03.26 still no refund. App is not user friendly and contact process is useless. Ringo is much better. Still waiting for my refund, 13.03.26. Who regulates these companies?

Update 15.03.26

Companies usually respond to trustpiolt reviews. But APCOA, no such response.

Very poor experience with APCOA at…

Very poor experience with APCOA at Portlaoise train station. I was blocked into my space because another car was parked in the yellow box behind me, so I couldn’t leave the car park. I tried calling customer service but got no response for over an hour. Because I couldn’t get my car out, I had to take a taxi home and back later. When I eventually spoke to customer service, they told me I should just pay for another day in case my car was clamped — despite the fact that I was blocked in and couldn’t leave. Extremely frustrating and unhelpful service.

I recently had my car clamped by APCOA…

I recently had my car clamped by APCOA at Connolly Station and was forced to pay €125 to have the clamp removed, despite holding a valid CIÉ staff parking permit registered on the APCOA staff portal.

Before parking, I checked the portal to ensure my permit and vehicle details were correct. However, the portal does not clearly list which stations are included or excluded under the staff permit, nor does it indicate that Connolly Station is not covered.

I have since been told that signs were erected stating the car park is privately owned, but every APCOA sign looks the same as those used in other Irish Rail stations where staff parking is permitted, such as Heuston. Because of this, the signage was not obvious and easily goes unnoticed.

The payment and release process was also extremely frustrating. The notice instructs you to call APCOA, but when I called the automated system (IVR), it did not recognise the clamp notice number, which caused additional delays while trying to resolve the situation.

The entire process took far longer than it should have and resulted in me missing a planned engagement I had that evening because of the delay caused by trying to get the clamp removed.

Overall, the whole experience felt very poorly designed and not in the interest of the customer. Between the lack of clear information on the permit portal, confusing signage and a payment system that doesn’t even recognise the clamp notice number, the process comes across as more about generating fees than helping people resolve issues quickly.

Very disappointing experience.

Do not allow blue badge permits despite saying they do

They make it impossible to register a Blue Badge on their website. It lets you upload a photo of the front but when you try to upload the back, it doesn't. They declined my application on this basis so I asked them to provide an alternative method of uploading the photo. Not surprisingly they didn't.

The new charge at the Luton airport mid term parking is an absolute disgrace. It used to be free, now it’s £15 and the a signage on approach is almost nonexistent. Disgraceful that this has been allowed by LLA,
APCOA & Luton borough council

Fair

Twice I paid late for parking as I was in a rush.
Once I phoned them and they were SUPER helpful and once I appealed the fine and they cancelled.
They seem to me a very fair company.

Bought and moved into a new property…

Bought and moved into a new property where apcoa managed the car park, I got my car clamped even though I paid the parking in the service fees to the management company and parked in my designated spot. Service was horrendous, I'm half tempted to break the clamp myself as I've a flight in 2 days and I need the car.

Abdication of responsibilty - Apcoa processing failure results in fine for driver

Parked at Reading station. Spent over 35 minutes trying to connect to the available EV chargers and failing to do so due to issues with the Apcoa application and the remote trigger to initiate charge. To be clear, my bank received the payment processing over 20 times!! I tried multiple charger units and both the QR code link to the website and the app. At the point that I was late for my train, I abandoned the effort unwittingly leaving my car in the EV bay. Despite my detailed appeal for the penalty charge levied to me, Apcoa accept no responsibility for the poor quality of their EV charge service and their part in this issue. Reading station is not a reliable or value EV charging point - avoid at all costs!

Greedy company. They created the perfect system to make sure they make the most money

Honestly be careful with this one greedy ass company. Make sure you pay as soon as you park just in case. Because if life gets busy and you forget for a while, then it will be to late and you’ll end up paying £100 fine 💁🏻‍♀️
I’ve drop off my husband in east midland airport, first time there, never realised there was such a strict time to pay. When I went online to pay, it was to late. Tried to contact them to try to pay without success. Received a fine and contested it, explained the situation and said I was more than happy to pay the £5 for the quick drop off as I tried to… no no noooo. They didn’t accept it and I must pay the £100, what a great way to make money and take advantage of honest people 💁🏻‍♀️

Extremely POOR customer service

Extremely POOR customer service. I was over charged for parking on New Years Eve (2025/2026) and I am still waiting for my refund almost 2 months later! This is despite confirmation from APCOA that I was over charged and also a month after submitting my card details auto them. Utterly useless company based on my experience. AVOID!

We turned up today

We turned up today , there are two machines for a 450 space car park but machines were out of order, and there was no wifi signal and they have just raised the fee by nearly 50%. We spoke to the station staff and they said that Apcoa give out a lot of penalty tickets and they get a lot of complaints - so why don’t they kick Apcoa out then ? I am driving from now on, In my experience this company is about as greedy and vicious as it gets. Basically what they do is nothing more than legalized opportunistic thievery. Nothing says it more than the added “convenience” fee if you decided to pay on line.
