We have been with the same Insurance Broker for 23 years having built a relationship with our contact. They have since left the business and with this change and increasing premiums year on year we decided it would be a suitable time to go out of our comfort zone and see what other Brokers could offer. Simon from Apex Insurance called us 6 weeks before renewal to introduce Apex and to see if they could offer better terms. We agreed to get the information to him. After several weeks we had not and Simon gave a call to prompt. He was never pushy but keen for us to give Apex a chance. A week before renewal, we sent the information to Simon who responded promptly to say his colleague Al Jabber would be in contact. Al called to introduce himself and we talked through what we do as a business, so he knew who to approach on the market. At this stage we had not received final renewal terms from our broker, so Al was unaware of anything other than what we needed as a business.
