I got my IPhone just about 5 or 6…

I got my IPhone just about 5 or 6 months ago so I decided to switch from Spotify to apple music just to try it out since they are around the same price.

I noticed that it has much less of a community feel compared to Spotify. The way they organize the music is kind of weird. I always get mixed up and confused about which playlist I'm playing.
While the design is aesthetically pleasing and somewhat nice to look at, I think I will be switching back to my old music on Spotify.

Fraud from Apple

Be very careful and check your bank statement regularly, in the last 7 days they have withdrew on two occasions 1 months subscription for music I have not requested.
The first withdrawal was repaid and on the same day another subscription was taken from the same account, I am now awaiting a second refund.

Apple Music deleted all my music after moving to another country

I moved to another country, changed the region and lost all my music and playlists. It is sooo stupid that they simply destroy all I have added and combined in my carefully curated lists. Without any prior notice.
A call to the support center didnt resolve anything as it is an official rule: you move - you lose it all. Also apple music lacks some tracks available in other services.
I moved to spotify recently.
The only thing I liked about AM was the app interface.

Good Overall

I might be one of the few lads who use Apple Music without having an iPhone. The experience has been positive overall considering how much of a walled-garden they like to make.

Android app is good, Web version is also good. Would love to see native apps for windows and linux.

They offer lossless audio and Dolby atmos without paying extra but don't offer enough clarity on whether X headphones offer atmos support.

Brilliant music app to fight away the blues.

I have a Samsung phone and through EE I got a deal to use Apple MusicI was a bit apprehensive as I have used other Music apps before. I have to say though presently surprised. It is easy to use, great selection of music and works great with other devices.
I needed this as going through a bit of a dark time in my life. So part of fighting how I feel is to listen to music. I have an eclectic taste. If I like a song I like it no matter genre, artist or era. So this is kind of a lifesaver and keeps me going.

APPLE MUSIC DISAPPEARANCE

All of these people giving great reviews on here for Apple Music, might think again when/if they cancel their subscription, my partner joined Apple Music for family, about 18 months ago but when she decided to cancel various subscriptions (Apple Music, Magazines etc) all of our music that had been stored on our IPhones and IPads disappeared, stuff going back about 15 years, including all playlists, when I spoke to Apple, some smart Alec technician told me that Apple owned all of the music stored on all devices world wide and could do what they wanted with it. Well done Apple you win the Gold Medal for Customer Relations er not.
Anyway due to the smugness of their staff and the complete and utter controlling nature of Apple, myself and my partner will be shortly swapping our phones for Samsung, as soon as my contract is up later this year.

subscription is everything

After paying for a subscription, I get everything I need in perfect shape. Everything is organized, sorted by album, highlighting the artist's best songs, and highlighting video clips and news. The app recommends music based on your taste and playlists are updated weekly. You can listen to the radio, watch TV shows and music documentaries. There are many things in one app. Simple and clear access. I am very happy to see this app and listen to the music. I would say that I get addicted to it.

Songs removed.

I’ve been an apple customer for almost 15 years. In this time I’ve had my music’s removed twice. The first time was on my IPod touch I brought over500 and only have a few left and then I took out Apple Music subscription when that started. Stopped my subscription and started it back up but almost 5000 songs gone. I will never get all of them back. Losts of the songs hold memories. You would t never have this problem with Spotify. Will never be paying for Apple Music again. So disappointed.

Horrific app volume control is danger to all connected devices via Bluetooth and continues to disconnect Nealy damaged my Harman karman system and speaker'

Absolutely dreadful

LOVE Apple Music

LOVE! I love Apple Music. They give me somewhere where I can play the music I love and organise my music into playlists. My subscription is so simple and it’s a great service with accessibility to radio stations, interviews, playlists and albums. Amazing, thank you for your service.

Disappointed with Apple Music trial

I tried the 3 month free trial and am very disappointed. Playlists were awful, big gaps between tracks, no follow on sometimes, it started playing radio stations and interviews with musicians which I didn’t want. If you cancel before the 3 month period is up you lose access immediately which is just a way for apple to take my subscription because I forgot to cancel. Will try Spotify

Worst music streaming service

I got a three month free trial and I have to say I have not had value for money.

The worst part is having to use iTunes on the pc because apple couldn't be bothered to develop an app that works across platforms, though the Android app is pretty awful too.

The interface is cluttered and barely useable. I can't personalise the 'For You' section, which is surreal. The whole thing is very slow and ugly. The 'browse' section is just a blank, white screen for over a minute and then a collection of music that I would never in my life consider listening to. It is not personalized in any way.

But the worst thing is the playback. Too often it stutters and the pauses between album tracks can be as long as twenty seconds. Sometimes it's unlistenable.

I switched from Spotify because some of its features are terrible and their customer service is worse but Spotify is a million times better than Apple Music.

Doesn't work and Apple rip you off

Can't listen to it as "This music is not available in your region". I'm in the UK, my region is UK, I have a UK family subscription, but I can't listen to streaming songs, or songs/albums I bought on iTunes. And don't get me started on Apple changing the album I've bought years after I've purchased it. "Bought the deluxe version as it had extra songs?", "Sorry we've upgraded you to the normal version so you no longer have the songs". Bought "Mothership" did you, well now you've been upgraded to "Led Zepplin: The complete collection", please ignore the fact you've lost some albums in the process

When it works, it's fine, but it doesn't work far to often and Apple will happily charge you for a special edition and drop it without telling you/stroke refunding the extra money it cost you.

Apple shortchanged customers

I’ve had Apple Music with a family plan for several years. I recently moved to another country so I had to change my Apple store. But Apple required that I first cancel my Music subscription, which I did. I spoke to customer support and to my surprise, the cancellation will only go through on the 25th of December and until then my family have lost their access.... even though I paid for the full month. They said there was nothing they could do, with a nice tone. So they charged me the full month but they stopped providing the service a few days into the month! Way to go Apple! Not only do you elude taxes, you also shortchange customers. Thats not a winning strategy. I’m moving to Spotify.

What is particularly appalling is that I have to complain about a company I truly learned to love-Apple could do no wrong-in my eyes...until they really did wrong.
Apple Music did not tell me when I signed up at near 15/month (for 3 years) that after spending that 500 dollars, NONE of the music i enjoyed was saved or available once cancelled-they just said nothing; it is now noted in top class actions that this issue is being litigated already-but class actions take a very long time-here's hoping they wise up, and restore the music to people, who, were willing to pay, and then got royally ripped off! The music never stops should be their motto-and I'm sure those Grateful fans, would agree.

Addendum 2-28-22 Now, it seems that Apple insists that even the music I OWNED was theirs to take-they refuse to return over 10GB of music I find to be priceless-I am searching for an attorney with some stamina-this is definitely illegal-that music was my own, and I put it on their Itunes player-they claim I lost ownership rights when I did that-I say, BS that's illegal-and want the world to know-this one goes to court, no doubt...soon

Got a 3 month trial disappointed

Got a three month trial, however my phone had to be reset and I lost the log on password. I can't reset this as it requires my date of birth which isn't being recognised by Apple. Have written to Apple regarding this so many times and received plenty of replies,
however they clearly don't read the emails and direct me to password reset. Unfortunately Apple will attempt to take £9.99 at the end of the three months because I can't log in to cancel, rang my bank and instructed them to refuse any requests from Apple. So wasn't impressed at all with Apple and use Spotify, Which is great
