Scammed out of at least £809…

My mother in law has received numerous phone calls from this company whilst I have been in her house and I have asked them to remove my mother in law details, but still they ring! I have now access to my mother in laws bank account and over the last 2 years they have taken £809 … £165 this week and the last one in September last year. I have now cancelled this DD and will be going in to the bank later

Third fridge guy that came out and these guys are scammers . Beware ! They use the same line.

Scammers !

Do not have anything to do with these people, they have tried to scam me out of £165.00. I have not ordered or received any service from these people and yet they managed to set up a direct debit on my account. Hopefully my bank are attending to it.

Two Companies scamming old people

My mother aged 89 received notification of a direct debit set up by them and had taken £160 which she had no knowledge of. The Money was taken in the name of Sparta telecom. I rang Sparta telecom Customer service and they are collecting money on this company’s behalf. This is obviously a scam with probably the same owners with two company’s, one scamming and the other collecting the money. I have written to my MP and BBC watchdog who are going to investigate these two companies as the public are fed up with scammers ripping our elderly.

"Reliable Appliance Repair" started off…

"Reliable Appliance Repair" started off at $80.00 just to come see what the issue was with my oven. Once the tech entered my house the $80.00 became $250.00 to access the problem + whatever parts were required to address the problem. At this point, with no work done you want to have the issue fixed, so I gave him permission to proceed. He accessed that the mother board was defective and to replace it was $500.00. Which I felt was a very high price. I told the tech that I would try to source one myself and that I'd like him to install it. To which he said, "ok, you have 2 days to get the part". I immediately complained that 2 days isn't enough time to get the part. I then requested, a week. He said ok...
Later that day I found the part for less than $200.00 but I wouldn't receive it within the week. I called customer support and to ensure the $250.00 would still be applicable to the installation and they said no, an additional $500.00 would be required to install. To which I said " your company is the worst ever, and I will never use them again". This is my first review and I hope it serves someone well.

I was contacted by phone I am an elderly person. I only have my monthly pension. The young man on the phone would not take no for an answer. I did not want reliable appliances insurance are kept on telling him I did not want this and I asked if he would send me all details in the post two days later £165 was taken from my account. That is a lot of money to me as yet I am still waiting for that money back. It was promised to me yesterday this all started on the 24th of March 2006.

Uninvited direct debit set up, how did they have access to bank details?!

My father received notification of a direct debit set up by them which he had no knowledge of. Money to be taken in the name of sparta telecom. Customer service insisted he must have agreed it. Oddly the week before we received a phone call claiming to be from Sky (it wasn't, we checked) and the caller already had my father's bank details. Will report to trading standards.

Beware of SCAMS1

Just discovered a debit of £165 on my account payee Sparta Telecom. Contacted them who advised that they permitted Reliable Appliance Repairs to use their facilities to collect payments. I did not speak to anyone from this outfit nor place an order for insurance on my home appliances This is either a scam or blatant theft
I subsequently read a report on their company and apparently this is a trick they try on vulnerable and elderly people. NO ONE SPOKE TO ME AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY GOT THE NECESSARY DETAILS

Sparta Communications the company taking the direct debit must also be in on this practice. Both companies need to be seriously looked AT!!!!!

Completely my fault for making the purchase at Barons and relying on Reliable Appliances to honor the contract. Why? Because I knew who I was dealing with.

My cooktop (still under warranty) has not been working. It’s been nearly 60 days since I first contacted them. At first, they couldn’t diagnose the issue and had to send a second technician — and even now, I’m not confident they can fix it.

It’s impossible to reach anyone who can actually make a decision. Today is 10/17, and the next available appointment they gave me is… 11/21.

Do not deal with them. Arrogant, unresponsive people. I’ll be leaving negative reviews in as many places as I can.

Am sure they are scammers

Am sure they are scammers. They took an annual payment in May then called my elderly father in law supposedly in Sept to say as he hadn’t claimed in the first 6 months, they would offer him a further two years for £165 rather than £165 a year so then took £165 out if his account today. Luckily we have view on his account and got the bank to stop it. Then called the company. The answered hello, who is this! Say they have sent a letter ( they haven’t) then gave the spiel above. What a con, preying on the elderly.

Elderly parents scammed

Just found my elderly parents have been scammed by this fake company. £149 by direct debit for fake support invoiced by Sparta Telecoms. How these people are allowed to trade is an outrage.

Bogus company - SCAM Elderly

BEWARE - BOGUS Repair company using different variances of company name ! They repeatedly took money from elderly relative and kept setting up direct debits in different reference numbers. When contacted they then rang her number several times with harrassment to claim further money and advise in a contract !! But will not provide copy of contract as evidence or sales agreement ! Names also linked with them after investigation are Sparta Telecom, Live Telecom, Vee Network .. BEWARE avoid at all costs and report !
