Fast and trustable service. Price convenient offers. Good and fast support with first line of contact by their AI and very fast second response by a human. A good example of modern digital market.

Bought a lifetime product (retable) a few month ago (with all future feature update).
In december appsumo and retable change the deal without notice me, except a message on the deal page.
That let me no possibility to request a refund in time.
This kind of behavior is malicious is dishonest.

The amount of spam that I get from AppSumo is astronomical. I have unsubscribed from their stuff twice already. One more promotional email from AppSumo will be reported as spam. This has happened over a period of a month.

I've had some unsettling experiences with this particular company that raises red flags regarding its business practices. Many businesses that emerged during the initial lifetime deal trend have struggled to survive, with only a few managing to thrive. This company, unfortunately, seems to follow a concerning pattern that echoes some of those less successful ventures.

One major issue is their contradictory approach to refunds and account management. While they advertise a 60-day return policy, they simultaneously have another policy that penalizes customers for too many refunds. This inconsistency creates a confusing and frustrating experience for customers, making it seem as though they can deactivate accounts at their discretion.

Their strict policies and potential to deactivate accounts arbitrarily suggest they prioritize profits over customer satisfaction. It feels like they are more focused on extracting money from customers rather than building lasting relationships. This approach leaves me wary and questioning their integrity.

Feels like complete scam. I paid for a "lifetime" subscription, only for Sessions to stop working for me days after the return window ended. No support, no refund. You should avoid Appsumo.

I made a mistake, so I contacted the Appsummo team, who responded quickly. I contacted the product vendor with their instructions, and my problem was solved in less than an hour. I was so very thankful for their support.

Appsumo has brought me so many AMAZING deals over the years! This has resulted in tremendous savings for my startup. The customer service team is very active and responsive. An overall great experience!

AppSumo's original apps are a great addition to my business, but I needed something a little special and TidyCal isn't quite there yet. When I realized I couldn't do what I needed to do, they cheerfully refunded my money after making sure I knew it was irreversible. Clear, pleasant and timely communication throughout the process. I'm a tax preparer and I will not need the additional feature in the off-season, so I will return to TidyCal which meets my needs most of the year. TidyCal has saved me hundreds of dollars, even after I pay for another service for a few months.

Great support always very responsive, proactive and kind to requests. Great Deals and their management. They do what they say and exceed expactation. It's useless to complain about deals that are not going as hoped. We should not be talking about start ups :-) that's a place for early adopter, curious to learn and experience new innovative technologies. I've been happy with lots of deals, with an excellent balance with the few one that did not manage to have success (or have been acquired and not respected lifetime contract). Five tacos to me :-)

Always incredible customer service for what they offer. I came across App Sumo due to Noah Kagan last year, and boy am I glad I did!
Any negative reviews are usually more so directed towards the startups they work with, and Noah has recently said they are working on this level of service. The thing is, it's not AppSumo's fault, but the startup. Honestly AppSumo is just helping you get a really good, one-time deal unseen in the horrible SaaS landscape we live in. Incredibly proud to be an AppSumo member.
In particular, an experience I recently had, due to a user error (ME, I didn't activate my subscription within the time frame....), AppSumo customer support went above and beyond to help me by contacting the startup's customer support on my behalf and getting me access to a software I bought last year. Appsumo appears to be a large platform for startups seeking funding from users. However, once purchased, many of these startups fail within a short time, leaving the buyer without money or a product. Customer support leaves much to be desired. Reviews are structured in a way that always highlights those praising the product while neglecting more critical ones. Even the prices displayed are misleading. For example, Appsumo might show that a company offers a product for €1 instead of €1,000. However, if you visit the company’s website directly, the prices are often much lower. Appsumo is only worthwhile if you’re lucky enough to find the right startup. In all other cases, it’s essentially useless.

I've been a Sumoling (Appsumo client) since 2013. They offer insanely great deals and their customer service is stellar.

Of course, as some people point out, some SaaS companies go out of business, are acquired or just decide to stop honoring the lifetime deals offered on Appsumo, because it's not sustainable for them. But this happens in just a minority of the deals. And Appsumo has taken action and increased its Sumoling protection in 2024 (warranties).

I can't say enough good things about AppSumo! As someone who constantly looks for the best deals on software, this platform has been a game-changer. They offer incredible discounts on top-notch tools that have significantly boosted my productivity and efficiency.
