Poor Communication and Ineffective Service
I would not recommend Aptive based on my experience. I originally called them for an ant problem and the first visit went fine — the technician sprayed inside and outside and set some baits. However, every visit after that has made the situation worse.
The second treatment involved only spraying the outside, which actually drove the ants into my house and created a much larger infestation. Since then, I’ve had three technicians out in just one week, and each time the infestation has grown instead of improved.
What makes this worse is the lack of communication. When I called to complain, I was promised they would put notes in the system and send a team to treat it like a first visit, focusing on locating the colony and using bait. Instead, the technician who showed up had no idea why he was there, said there were no notes, and admitted he only had spray — no bait, no real plan.
Spraying alone clearly doesn’t solve an ant problem, and the repeated visits without proper treatment have only wasted my time and money. I expected a professional, knowledgeable approach, but what I got was poor communication and ineffective service.
If you’re considering using Aptive, I would strongly recommend looking at other pest control companies that know how to handle ant infestations properly.

Ant Invasion, Multiple Fronts
Truly appreciate how responsive Aptive has been throughout this most recent ant invasion. Re-treating outdoors proved to have no immediate effect on our in-house invasion, so they returned the very next day to attack the problem differently, which did get to the invasion. They stuck with us; we'll stick with them.

Most of Aptive’s techs do a very good and thorough job inspecting and applying treatment around my house. Amaro is the top notch tech that needs a special mention. He takes his time to ensure that every nook and cranny of the property is properly treated. There was one tech that did a terrible job but Aptive remedied the situation right away after I complained about his work (or non-work?).

The technician did not lock the rodent bait box and dog managed to open it. Furtunately, I happened to walk outside in time to stopped her from being poisoned.

Our technician Rudy was so great. His patient demeanor made the visit successful. I was able to express my concerns and he had very through answers. This was the first time I had Aptive in my home to do an interior spray so it was important that I felt comfortable, and I did.

Great service and results.
Michael and the other providers we’ve dealt with are great. The ask the right questions to ensure they’re treating the right pests and not over treating.
We also have a small box turtle that roams our backyard freely and they ask about him and make sure we pull him inside for a few days before they start.

The communication is excellent. They text me before they arrive and ask for any specific trouble areas this time. They take care of the entire exterior, but always spend a little extra time to make sure the trouble areas are addressed.

Total Failure on Service
On the website, I put in for Saturday, 7/12, 8 am to noon. At 12:30, I called the customer service number and spoke with Toolee (Sp). She said that the technician was running late and offered to change my appointment to Monday 7/14, 8 am to noon. Reluctantly, I agreed to the change. At 1:30, the technician, Dominic, said that he would be out in 20 minutes. I let him know that Toolee had changed the appointment. He said that he would still come that day. I tried to call Toolee to let her know what Dominic said. However, Dominic never showed up. I waited all day for the service. On Monday, 7/14, technician, Lorraine, arrived about 9:30. She said that she was only delivering indoor ant traps. I told her what had already happened on Saturday and that Aptive was supposed to spray around the outside of the house as well. She took out her equipment and completed the service. Then, on Tuesday, 7/15, two technicians arrived at 1:30 pm, did not knock on door, but proceeded to spray certain areas on the outside of the house. They did not get the east side of the house. I have video that shows they took a picture but then walked away without spraying.
This is not the first time that I have had problems with service and service dates. I am seriously looking into other pest control providers. I have not been happy with your service for at least a year. Your website does not allow me to always see more than a day in advance regarding YOU scheduling my service. Your phone customer service is very poor and, at times, no one answers or calls back.
