The Arabic Music Academy in London is an institution that aims to spread the Arab musical culture around the world. The Academy was established in 2017 against the background of the project of the Arabic Music School, which the Academy’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mrs. Thanaa Al-Alousi, did the diligent work on. The Academy is proud to be the only European academic institution for adults, specialising delivering courses that lead to certification at up to PhD levels (NVQ L8), together with an active exchange program with highly credible institutions in the Arab world. The Academy launched its debut festival, dubbed “Salaman Ya Rawabina”, in the summer of 2018, in St. John’s Smith Theatre. Many dignitaries, ambassadors, members of the British House of Commons and the House of Lords attended the event. The event played to packed audience and was intensely covered by the Arabic speaking media channels, as well as social media.
