Available quickly to complete both the on-site visit and also the subsequent report arrived well within indicated timeframes.
If like me you are frustrated at having to do a PRA for a planning application, then you will be pleased to know that the team at arbtech made the process very easy.
Very thorough in the survey and done with only two weeks notice, no bats were discovered and no places for bats to live so a report made very promptly
Good communication throughout despite this region being exceptionally busy so lead time was longer than expected. However Merry our local consultant was able to bring the proposed date forward and was punctual, professional and plainly passionate about environmental issues. They went over and above the brief by taking time to understand our aims and offered advice re improvements to our site design to help biodiversity. Report was detailed, prompt, and helpful.
Very prompt and useful communication. Extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of site surveys.
This company is flaunting trading standards by misleading statements, leaving out important information about the survey provided and timelines associated with it. Be very careful with them as they are not transparent.
They provided us with this statement :’ You will require the licence application and supervision and if there hasn’t been an ecologist on site in the last 3 months you may require a material changes check’ and then said that an entire new survey was required as it was a different breeding season. Very disappointed

Have just had Arbtech undertake a Tree Constraints Report for my company. Very good and detailed report provided and Chris Wren (Surveyor / Consultant Arboriculturist) answered all my follow up questions.
Very thorough and useful report but the timing offered on the website is very misleading. The whole process took around 10 weeks.
Extremely professional organisation, particularly with communication at every step of the way. Merry was really helpful and was very responsive to my questions and outlining the process. I would highly recommend Arbtech Consulting.
Say they can do 2 to 4 weeks then take days after booking to tell you its 6 weeks and you could have gone with someone else sooner wasting your time!

We contacted Arbtech as the planning dept had requested we carry out a bat survey on an old garage on a small piece of land we are buying for a planning application
We opted for the rapid service (£889 plus vat) as we needed the report quickly and this had a guaranteed 2-5 day turnaround
The surveyor did call out quite quickly within a 4 days to do the survey (11th September) He spent around 20 minutes on site and then left to do the report.
The report wasn’t ready however until the 25th.
I was still asked to pay for the rapid service however when I queried it they agreed to only charge for the standard service as it wasn’t rapid. I paid the invoice that day and got our report.
Recommended 3 additional surveys next year as the building was high risk for bats. We accept that.
On further inspection. They also commented that “The proposed development could result in the destruction or the disturbance and subsequent abandonment of active bird nests”
I asked if they had seen or looked for any bird nests. They haven’t.
I told them we hadn’t asked for them to do this and NEITHER DID THE PLANNING OFFICER !!!! and would they please remove it as they also noted that no works could be done between March and August unless ANOTHER survey is done (££££££) just before commencement of works is done
Unbelievably they have refused me as their client who has paid them for a service I didn’t want or ask for and is now likely to cause us more problems and money.
Avoid this company like the plague……
Note : Standard practice to fill the boots of the company charging massive fees for a few minutes on site !
