Borderline offensive.

I spoke to Ian Thompson while starting out mine and my partners first time buyers experience. We have some negative credit history, which we have been fully transparent about. I received a phone call from Ian, who can definitely talk the talk. When I asked what fees he would be charging, he did not want to tell me as he wanted to bring ‘an offer to the table first’. I found this a bit concerning as I believe in full transparency, not selling someone a mortgage after telling them no high street lenders will consider us, and then telling us what his fees would be. It seems a bit backwards.
Ian has been trying to contact me for the remainder of the week. I work in a school so am unable to answer during the working day. I received the following email from Ian. I am incredibly unimpressed and almost offended by Ian’s condescending tone. There is a complete lack on compassion and understanding. If Ian thinks this is what a good sales technique is then I recommend his superiors consider some further customer service training. Incredibly disappointing and I am glad that while young and not the most clued up on mortgages, I can recognise an unprofessional person a mile of.

“ Hi Jenny
This is from the NatWest criteria page, they will not consider a Debt relief order or debt management plan
I could have sorted this for you by now if you had sent the fact find and credit report back
You can go to all the meetings you want, but at the end of the day its only one company with its own products
I have every company and every plan on the market at my finger tips – my process is matching your needs to the best solution on the market

Ian”

Deceptive tactics targeting Veterans…

Deceptive tactics targeting Veterans with spam and mailings that look like missed payments. Their website also has misspelling’s (ie “Fine your rate”) and different addresses, so its strange to be able to trust a company like that. I called to see what the deal was, mainly to see if they needed to be reported as a scam to the VA. Not surprisingly, even though I asked nicely, they hung up on me. Thats usually an indicator. IRRRLs are the same everywhere, please use a reputable source.

I am currently NOT with them

I am currently NOT with them. As if I don't get inundated with enough junk mail, Arcus gets "cunning and crafty" by making the letter pink (like a pink slip), Placing "second attempt" on it as well as "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED".

So my point: As a responsible adult, I pay my bills and try my best to keep up on things. This Solicitation by Arcus is purposefully crafted for deception. It pissed me off (as I thought it might be important) so I called and confirmed it was just to get my business. I tried to say the things I said here (respectfully I might add) and was hung up on.

God help them if they call me or send me another one of these scam letters meant to manipulate you into opening their letters. This IS Arcus!! I wouldn't use them if I were you.

Highly Recommended Mr. Behzad Hamidi

We just closed our recent refi with Arcus Lending 3 weeks ago. Our Loan Officer was Mr. Behzad Hamidi. He was the easiest person to work with. We really enjoyed our experience. Mr. Hamidi and Arcus Lending made the entire process so painless and easy. Being able to digitally upload documents yourself to your own loan file was so easy and such a time saver. He had the perfect amount of communication and was not overbearing at all. Any questions we had he answered them quickly and honestly, no hidden tricks or fees. He even respected our time while we were on vacation for a few days and still closed our loan on time. I would definitely recommend Arcus Lending for your next mortgage and be sure to ask for Mr. Behzad Hamidi! We highly appreciate you for all you did for us.

I recommend choosing another lender

I recommend choosing another lender. Applied in 8/2020. Approved.
Loan estimate inaccurate.
After waiting for 2 months of excuses and delays of stating the banks were backup.
I cancelled the loan and applied with a different lender and closed in < 3 weeks.
The service is substandard, inefficient and documents are inaccurate.

As the mortgage rates are at the lowest…

As the mortgage rates are at the lowest levels, it was the right time for me to refinance and take the advantage. Now the question was, to which lending company should I reach out. I had heard stories from my friends where they had gone through bad experiences and cumbersome process. Surely, I didn’t want to ride the same boat. Therefore, it was a difficult process for me to identify a lender who is trustworthy and can provide exemplary customer services. Now, I can say that I am lucky enough that I was introduced to Arcus Lending. Shashank and Swati are great, they are experienced, very strong in their domain and knows the business. They made my entire refinancing process go seamlessly. They were always reachable and were able to help clarify and answer my many questions. Thanks so much to Shashank and Swati for making it so easy!

You can't beat Arcus for your mortgage

This was my second time re-financing with Arcus, both times they were fast, efficient and provided 5 star service. They were knowledgable, always available to answer my questions and help me get the best product to meet my needs.

Had to constantly follow-up...

Had to constantly follow-up for updates. I felt as if Arcus Lending could have taken a more proactive approach to thoroughly explain all the steps and what borrowers should expect, especially for first timers. This would have minimized the stress and doubts that I had for the firm at times.
