Nabila was extremely very supportive and quick to attend to queries. I am very grateful.
Arden University has been the worst academic and financial experience I’ve ever had. They reported completely false information to Student Finance England, which created an artificial debt of around £8,000 in my name. They billed me for a semester I never attended, refused to refund an overpayment, and repeatedly sent payment demands even after I officially withdrew. Their administration is chaotic, unprofessional, and careless with student records — at one point they even acted as if I had never enrolled. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Arden at all costs.

I can honestly say Adil Mahmood was one of the most supportive lecturers I’ve had. He created a safe and encouraging environment where I felt comfortable asking for help. He was patient, understanding, and always willing to give his time. His dedication and genuine care didn’t go unnoticed, and I’m very thankful for everything he did for us. Birmingham Branch
Love the students and the teachers are ok and supportive of u if u personally speak with them.
But the reason for this review is about the staff member at the cafe they have on the ground floor…
This girl is always so rude and abrupt. It’s almost like she gives jealous vibes!?Which I don’t know why because she isn’t a bad looking girl but her attitude makes her ugly 🥴🥴
She always acting like she can’t be bothered. Always rolling her eyes and giving stink attitude. Like chill out, be calm, it’s not that serious😵💫.
She had an attitude from the get go, I ordered hot food and when it was ready she called it out and threw in down on the counter… but the man behind me had ordered food too, and when his was ready she delivered it to his table . Like really girl if ur intimidated by my presence or looks don’t work in hospitality/customer service 😂😂
As somebody that’s had a head waitress job before for over 2yrs. She definitely needs to fix her approach. Ppl like me wud train her on how to excel her path way work regarding ethics!!!
It cost ZERO to b nice
And it cost Zillch, to deliver service with a smile!
Remember this is England!! You choose the work, the work don’t choose you!!
Other then That, happy bdays Arden :) pls Have better staff on the cafe then Mayb the students wudnt wild out for u to make it an Only staff cafe in a student environment!!!
Unfair account suspension/

Just Got admission in this university ,Teachers are nice but rest of the staff is very rude and disrespectful towards the students .don't have its own library there are only three lift in a busy 10 floor building being shared with other offices makes you wait for life 7 to 10 minutes every time. The staff is worst specially at reception. The staff at Hub is sitting at desk as they are unhappy with their job no smile on the faces very unprofessional .yesterday a guy from reception was rude to us that we Arden's student are not allowed to use a cafe in the building .we asked another guy from the staff and his behaviour was not so pleasant and he says check online instead of questioning me .

I had to do a resit and they sent me my timetable after the resit classes had already started. I was only give like 4 classes per resit. To make matters worse I dont even know the new lecturers names and when asking student support in birmingham they said they cant help me or find the new lecturers names and cannot help me and I need to submit my assignments tomorrow. I couldnt book any student one to one appointments online or face to face in July to get a bit of support before handing my work in completely in panic mode and stressed out. They really need to have more student support and get staff to help im so gutted

Many students have been waiting for overdue assessment grades with a lack of communication, this has been ongoing. Have even been sent emails in error saying that we need to resubmit when we have not yet been graded. If you are planning on a distance learning course please choose somewhere else as this has been appalling, and not the first lack of organisation and incompetent IT systems that I have witnessed at this university.
Update- I have now been waiting for 3 months for my certificate to be sent after the original one was sent with neurodiversity spelt wrong! No one is replying to my student support, awards or complaints emails. I may have to take this further. Anyone thinking of attending Arden-please read the many 1 star reviews

By far the worst experience I’ve had with these people. I’ve applied for the November course only for them to tell me that it’s been pushed to the end of January knowing that I was very interested in studying the computing course. I have tried to get into contact with them on numerous occasions whether that be email or over the phone, they love to neglect you and leave you wondering what the next move is. I’m in the process of withdrawing my application from these tyrants but of course they’re ignoring my emails and texts. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT!!!! Enrol with these guys they’re so unprofessional it’s not even funny

Well, I always wondered why the quality of teaching was varying. Often the lecturers are putting together enjoyable lessons, but don't really answer questions well or are needing to look things up themselves. Then I researched them and hardly any Arden staff have published or even have high degrees. They can be good teachers, but don't know their subject matter well. They often haven't written the class themselves and are teaching somebody else's material, even module leaders might not have written the classes. Many don't even know how to tell you about referencing, they want you to go to some other Tutors to tell you about it or even answer simple question about it. This feels like school, not university.

I applied to Birmigham Arden and was informed that my application was successful. However, as the September start date for the course approached, I didn't receive any information about the actual start date. When I called to ask for an update, they were unresponsive and ignored my inquiries, making me feel like I didn't exist.
I want to say thank you to Candise for your quick respond and being nice and helpful. Thank you once again Candise

As a current student at the university, I feel compelled to express my profound appreciation for the exceptional support services and top-notch facilities that have greatly contributed to my academic journey thus far, particularly during a very difficult time in my life.
Upon enrolling at the university, I was instantly impressed by the modern facilities - from cutting-edge technology in the labs to an extensive online library filled with enough resources to cater to diverse research needs, the university ticks all the right boxes in providing a conducive environment for learning in my opinion - but do bare in mind I've been out of education for the best part of a decade and a half!
Complementing the modern facilities are an array of interesting lecturers who are not only industry-savvy but also go above and beyond to make learning both engaging and rewarding. On the whole, their passion for their respective fields is brilliant, making every academic interaction both insightful and inspiring.
However, the beacon of my university experience has been the unwavering support from the student support team during a time of personal turmoil; when I lost my father. James Ferguson, a core contact at student support, played an instrumental role in ensuring that my grades didn't suffer throughout this ordeal. His empathetic approach, combined with tireless efforts in providing me with the necessary academic and personal support, eased the pressure immensely.
From helping to manage my academic workload etc James - and the entire student support team I interacted with - were nothing short of exceptional.
Never did I feel alone or overwhelmed; instead, there was a genuine sense of understanding and support that propelled me through one of the most challenging period of my life.
In conclusion, as I navigate through my university life, I am immensely grateful for the outstanding support team,, modern facilities, and inspiring faculty that continue to enhance my academic journey. I can wholeheartedly say that Arden university excels both in providing stellar education and impeccable student support, and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this community.
Oh, and the fellow learners are quite interesting too! ;-)

If you have a learning difficulty or struggle with learning independently, please do not go to this university. I enrolled in November 2022. I felt ignored by the entire team and i was heartbroken by this, due to no support with my learning and no counciling. After serval requests via email, calls and through professionals. I cannot stress enough on how disappointed I am.
