The sizing and style was very strange. The swimsuit was so short and low cut so I don't know what body could possibly fit in that. As a result I had to return the swimsuit as well as one bikini that had a very strange fit, did not look at all as in the pictures. I had to pay for the shipping of the return myself (which i was fine with, this is a quite normal policy) but on top of that I had to pay extra fees that they deducted from the total amount. Their refund policy is less 20% per item plus $10 per return so I got 150 $ back intead of 200. Feels like such a scam as it was not clearly stated on the website when I made the purchase, I will never purchase anything from Ark swimwear again.

Great customer service from Emma to help describe the style in detail for me to try to select a style to compliment my body to feel comfortable and confident in.

Do not waste your money.
I am a size 4 or a 00 and 5 foot 1. I ordered the balconette top and the black one peice both in xs. The top was so small it fit my one year toddler, my sisters and I spent a long afternoon laughing at how ridiculous it would be for any grown adult to wear it.
The one piece was outrageous, I am a very short person and the fabric was pulling so much that the suit gave me a g string at the back and front… Read all these reviews carefully as pretty much everyone has had to return what they have ordered.
I ended up having to keep my return even though it didn’t fit as I realised nothing on this website would be appropriate.
Side note I think it is a disgrace to make women size up 3 sizes to fit your brand!!! It doesn’t make women feel good and not inclusive.

Had a great experience with customer service. I wanted to do an exchange and they outlined all my options clearly and were really responsive, quickly. I didn’t end up needing to return, but regardless they were so helpful and friendly.

The sizing is completely inaccurate, even after consulting the sizing and fit guide—which, to be honest, is vague at best. The size range is also far from inclusive. For reference, I’m 173 cm tall, weigh 57 kg, and typically wear a standard small. Yet, I was advised to purchase an XL bottom—absolutely unreasonable. I’m also a 70C bra size, and the recommended medium was far too small.
Customer service was extremely unhelpful and, at times, outright rude. Instead of resolving the issue, they repeatedly insisted the sizing guide was correct and implied the problem was mine. No apologies, no accountability.
Returns are difficult and costly. You lose a significant portion of your refund due to fees that are only disclosed in the fine print—deliberately misleading, in my opinion. The so-called “personalized” sizing service is anything but; it’s just a generic guide showing how certain body types look in specific designs.
To add, “medium coverage” essentially means “no coverage”—hiding behind the “minimal coverage” tagline doesn’t make it acceptable.
Overall, this has been the worst customer experience I’ve had with a so-called “luxury” brand. Do not buy.

They ship quickly so that was a plus. I ordered a XL balconette bikini top and there was definitely no support for my 32DD frame. They have a terrible restocking fee and you have to pay for return shipping so I am forced to keep the product. I would advise to buy from Monday Swimwear or buy bikinis on Revolve, as they have normal return policies.

I was in need to exchange my swimsuit and the customer service was helpful, quick to respond which resulted in a successful exchange for a more accurate size. The bathing suit is wonderful quality!

So far excellent customer service. I ordered the items several times by accident and when I brought it to their attention they fixed it within minutes. I was surprise how fast and helpful they were.
I cannot wait to received the bikinis.

There are already many reviews here that reflect my experience, and I could focus on the waste of money and time. But today, I want to highlight other, deeper concerns.
I purchased several items from this store that did not adequately cover my bust, despite carefully measuring myself and following the store’s sizing guidelines. I returned them. Still hopeful, I made a second purchase—only to face the exact same issue. After that, I began to feel distrustful. It became clear that these products were not designed with diverse women's bodies in mind. The fit seemed to cater to one narrow standard, with no indication that the brand prioritizes body inclusivity or positivity.
I reached out to customer support to respectfully express my frustration, assuming I couldn’t be the only woman facing this issue. To my surprise, their response was dismissive and sarcastic. They simply repeated store policy, implying that I had failed to do my research. This assumption—especially in response to a request for support—was both unprofessional and troubling.
Reading the many other negative reviews across various platforms, I feel less alone. If you’re debating whether or not to shop here, I urge you to consider the number of women whose money and time has been wasted. More importantly, ask yourself whether supporting a brand that routinely dismisses the very women it claims to serve aligns with your values.
I deeply regret financially supporting a business that perpetuates the kind of treatment we, as women, know all too well.

I was initially hesitant to order from Ark because of all the mixed reviews I saw. However, as someone with a small chest and athletic build, I fell in love with the flattering silhouette of their bikinis and decided to take a calculated risk. If you are concerned about sizes and fall in between or across all the models provided on their sizing page, I highly recommend working with a sizing specialist. Emma was so incredibly thoughtful and insightful. She responded thoroughly and quickly to my questions regarding the fit/coverage I was going for versus the proper size. If you're on the fence, take your measurements, work with a sizing specialist and discuss the fit/coverage you're going for. I have always been an XS or S in everything I wear top to bottom, but ended up ordering a M triangle top and L side ties bottom. Thanks to Emma's guidance, they fit perfectly and the quality is fantastic (actually seamless and identical print/color both inside and outside.

Love my Ark Swim top, they run small, but the fabric and quality is great. I had to return a few of my items and the return experience was very straightforward and easy. I wish shipping fees back were included, as shipping to Australia from US can get costly. In my experience their team has been super responsive to emails - didn't expect a fast response, and got one with the hour, especially with the time difference. I had a credit that didn't hit my account and was fixed immediately. Thank you team!

I ordered several swimsuits from Ark Swimwear, carefully following their size guidelines. When the items arrived, they were extremely small — not just snug, but painfully tight. I contacted customer support, and they insisted I try them on anyway, saying that their suits are meant to feel like a “second skin.”
I did as advised, tried them briefly, and returned the items immediately with all tags intact. I paid for return shipping out of pocket. After receiving my return, Ark Swimwear refused to refund one of the swimsuits (€130), claiming it had marks. The photos they sent show a suspicious stain that appears in the exact same spot across multiple shots, regardless of garment angle, suggesting either a lens mark or poor editing.
I’ve filed a dispute with my bank, as I believe this was handled unfairly. One of the other returned pieces was accepted and they promised store credit, but it hasn’t been issued yet.
Disappointing experience overall — sizing guidance is misleading, returns are expensive and risky, and the refund process lacks transparency.

I’d like to commend Ark Swimwear — and especially Emma — for exceptional customer service. Upon placing my order, Emma proactively reached out to inform me about potential customs charges, despite the fact that the company offers free shipping and is not responsible for import fees.
Her thoughtful approach and willingness to assist — even when not required — demonstrated a rare level of care. The potential costs could have equaled or exceeded the value of the order, and her guidance helped me make an informed decision.
This level of service reflects true customer commitment.
It’s rare to receive such attentive and human customer support these days. Emma, you were absolutely wonderful — thank you for going above and beyond!
Highly recommend Ark Swimwear for both their products and top-tier service.

Ignore negative reviews. If you read instructions and interact with the sizing specialists, you will be satisfied with your order. I have never owned a bikini that is more flattering than Arks. I own 6 now. I have a 7th in my cart.. not to mention, their customer service is out of this world spectacular. Emma went above and beyond helping me replace my bikini after my brand new olive green set was completely discolored due to chlorine imbalances in a Las Vegas pool. Just had to cover shipping, completely reasonable. Overall, I will probably wear Ark bikinis until I’m 80 or dead.

The material is very high quality and at a fair price point, most brands these days are $100usd per top & bottom. Be sure to follow their size guide, and how to measure guide *knowing your true measurements is crucial* I was able to order the correct sizes, and got extremely personalized assistance from Emma with what styles would look best on my body type, as well as what sizes in each. I even sent them photos of the suit I received to ensure the fit was correct, and asked which styles are best for active swimming. Seriously amazing customer service! I really appreciate thorough measurement and model details, and their site has all of that laid out very clearly. Their return policy is pretty standard for any swimsuit brand, let alone a small business. So excited to wear this all summer long!!

I ordered XL bikini tops based on Ark’s size guide, which states they fit an 85D. That’s exactly my size — yet the tops I received offered no real coverage. My nipples were exposed, and the product was unwearable.
When I contacted customer service, Emma said it was “designed that way” and refused to offer a full refund. I was asked to cover return shipping and lose 20% of the order.
This is misleading, not body positive, and very disappointing from a brand that claims to be inclusive. I followed the guide, and still the product failed completely.

Worst swimwear l've every purchased, l regret my purchase to this day. I bought two seperate sets from them in my normal swimwear size - Small.
A red set and a white set. The red was so thin you could see EVERYTHING and the buckle at the back would pop open by itself AS SOON as l moved my arms at all or bent over even slightly. The cups were also so tiny, my nip***** were basically on the edge of the bikini.
The white one is double lined but you could STILL see my nip**** and oh my god it was so ridiculously tight there's no way in hell it was anywhere close to being a Small. I could barely even put my arms in let alone wear it comfortably without struggling to breathe. The material also doesn't sit correctly on the skin, it doubles over incorrectly in places so you're constantly adjusting it.
I don't think you could buy a more expensive piece of S*** if you tried. I don't think l hate a brand more than this company.
