Scammers

Totally agree with others on here, they are quick to take your money but not so quick with what you have bought.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

TORO MOWER NOT WORKING AND HAD BEEN MODIFIED TO SELL

AVOID - I purchased a mower from them described as a good machine. Paid immediately. Machine delivered and does not engage cutting blades at all. Further to that, the machine's ECU had been bypassed to even get the mower to start and move and all safety mechanisms voided. They have not helped correct the problem or spoken to the seller and keep quoting that its sold as described. When you buy an asset of this value I expected some parts to be worn but to not work at all is unnaceptable. Its been 2 months and the mower is still not fixed. Horrendous. Avoid at all costs.

I had my suspicions when after winning…

I had my suspicions when after winning a van on the i-bidder site tried to pay by bank transfer but this was blocked and the banks fraud dept phoned me concerned it was a scam. However, they were completely wrong, contacted the company via email and informed them of what had happened. Gained confidence from their reply agreed to a viewing of the van to allay my anxieties before I transferred funds. Van was clearly as described and Asset Auctions do exist as I first went to there offices. Met by a really nice lady who directed me to the Vans location, It is my understanding that stock is not always kept at their office site. I met a larger than life gentleman who could not have been more helpful. My experience was a positive one after being alerted by the bank. I have bought a bargain though always a risk buying from an auction not like a showroom van all shinny and new but so much cheaper. If this happens to you contact them via email and they will respond and help you with your query in a professional manner. Would do business with them again... Thank You.

Don’t Let Asset Auctions Make An Ass Out Of You

***********************BEWARE**********************
Do hot use Asset Auctions they do not respond to emails
They have no number to call for assistance
And they have not sent my winning item a watch I paid. £1700.00 for
I was sent the invoice on the 20th June which stated it had to be paid by 1700hrs that day unfortunately this went to my spam and was not picked up until the following day, so emailed Asset Auctions and told them I would pay immediately, which I did.
I tried calling them on a telephone number I found through google which does not work along with sending three emails of which have been ignored so with no way of getting hold of them apart from going upto their offices which is over a 2hr drive away so totally impractical

Great Auction Site - Easy & Staightforward

Bought Digger on a weds & collection arranged onthe friday.
All went through simple & straightforward.
Kept in contact via emails throughout.
This is the second time i have purchased from them and both have been straightforward.
Bear in mind you are not buying from a multimillion pound shopping empire, this is from an auctioneer so be patient waiting for email replies as it may not be instant (even though some of mine were instant)

Terrible experience

Won the auction, received the invoice within 24hrs, asked for invoice to include delivery and received no response for a few days. Then received an email from their litigation officer advising they would take me to court for the money etc…despite the fact I was chasing them for a correct invoice. At this point alarm bells rang so I looked online and found these negative reviews.
After a few days the correct invoice was received but I then engaged with them via email and voiced my concerns about the claims made online about them being fraudulent etc. Was told it was all nonsense…
I told them I am more than happy to pay for auction but would rather pay on collection and arrange my own transport which they agreed to. Was given the phone number and address of where it was located.
Called the number, asked “seller” to confirm if it could be driven onto a transporter or if we needed winch capability. Was told he would let me know. End of day came and no answer so sent a message as reminder…then realised that the same number had sent me a message a few days earlier claiming to be from Asset Auctions and was not the seller. So seems like they gave me a colleagues phone number maybe? Seemed fishy… Sent another reminder message anyway and was then told that they sold the tractor to someone else in person today.

All seems very strange and the experience threw up a lot of red flags so warning others just in case

Update: After posting this review, I then received an email from David from Asset Auctions trying to deflect the situation and claim that the whole situation is my fault and that despite the seller deciding to sell the item elsewhere, they will come after me for loss of commission. I was also told that if I dont take my review down they will sue me for “deformation” (defamation) and libel at 9am on Monday morning.

Experience with Asset Auctions

Won the Auction on Monday; after contacting through Email, Delivery was arranged and received on the 1st of May. Very Professional and good communications.

Only Problem was trying to reach them by phone, I would advise anyone who has received their Invoice email to use that to further arrange Delivery or Pick Up

We purchased a Bob Cat Micro digger from Asset Auctions

We purchased a Bob Cat Micro digger from this auction on the 19 Feb 24,communicating with Asset is very difficult the phones is not manned you are instructed to send an email and a reply can take several days We bank transferred £11122.00 for some reason it took several worrying days for Asset to say they had received it ,my company transfers money daily in the uk and overseas this was a fairy small amount . It then took until the 15th of March before we were told we could collect it from a dealer in Chesterfield on Tuesday 19th March who had put this in the Asset auction almost one month had passed since we paid for it !
When we arrived the buckets were missing and we were told we could not take it as Asset hadn't paid them . The buckets were found and Asset must have paid them for the digger while we were there and it was released .This company are not for the faint hearted and the lack of communication is concerning . I regular purchase from Pro truck , Commercial vehicle auctions , Euro auctions Fleet Auctions and Watts auctions who are very professional as i have used them many times and will not be using Asset every again .
