My dilemma was solved 100% with the help from Auctionet

I made a bargain at Auctionet that I regretted. I took contact to Auctionet about this and they (=Tim) were fantastic, understanding and outmost helpful taking care of my dilemma. They took contact to the auctionhouse in Barcelona, and within a few days they/he had solved my "problem". So a very satisfying experience/solution for me. I will always recommend Auctionet.

Platform is good and works well, quite some interesting stuff

Shipping is a bit of a sore point - finding cheaper shipping providers would really unlock more revenues for the company. the current provider seems quite expensive, and the cost estimate during the auction is on the conservative side. finding a cheaper delivery company and/ or providing clearer estimate pre bid would unlock more business for auctionet

During the fall of 2025

During the fall of 2025, as newly re-patriated to Sweden after decades overseas we have more or less furnished our entire home with wonderful quality furniture, rugs and things through Auctionet. A first class organization easy to interact with from bidding to home transport!

Lovely things at unbeatable prices! We’re not done yet!!

Absolutely appalling!

Absolutely appalling.
I won an auction. I paid for the piece that I bided for which then they added on extra fees.
And then to add insult to injury FedEx would not release my parcel from customs because the shipper had failed to pay their fees on their side so now I’ve got to end up paying an extra £216 just so they would let my parcel clear from customs.
I did nothing but email and asked for them to resolve this issue and I just kept going round and round in circles. I would not recommend buying anything on this auction site. It’s absolutely disgusting.

Rip off delivery charge

Bought 2 small coins for £44. After I paid for them I received another invoice for delivery in the sim of £18. Hidden charges to boost their income. Should be reported to trading standards.

It is also good to know how our logistics work. All items are shipped from the auction houses we work with around Europe. When the buyer orders shipping, the auction house books a pickup with Auctionet. Our vehicles drive to the auction houses on a weekly basis and collect the items, which are then transported to our packing centers. There, each item is carefully packed for onward shipment—either to a delivery point, directly to the customer, or with the help of subcontractors.

This process means that each transport requires planning, resources, and care – and that our service differs from other operators who send items directly from the seller to the buyer. Our goal is always to offer a safe, high-quality, and secure solution that reflects the value of the items you purchase.

What happened to the trustworthy and reliable Auctionet? -
The item, I bought was not imaged at / from the right side where i now found a really bad crack. -
Why didn´t they show this? - To conceal the damage?
Until about a year ago, I could buy from auctionet without hesitation. The high-quality items were well described, the pictures were clear and accurate, and the packaging was good. -
For about a year now:
The packaging prices have doubled and the quality of the packaging has deteriorated significantly. (I had a damage due to stupid packaging with the last item I purchased).
And now they are concealing the damage of the item by simply not publishing a photo of it and not mentioning it in the text, or rather by trying to hide behind general platitudes – that is disgraceful.

Missing pieces resolved efficiently and seamlessly.

Two pieces were missing out of my purchase. I immediately emailed the company to let them know that I was missing two out of three pieces. The reply was very fast and they asked for a photo of the piece I had received. Within less than 24 hours, they got back to me to let me know that they had found the pieces, they apologised again and they organised to send the items at their cost (as it should be). A tracking number was issued to me and the parcel arrived in a timely manner. The whole incident was easily resolved. I believe this is a very responsive, efficient, respectful company with a very professional and outstanding staff. At this point, I would like to thank John for the diligent work and support he gave me.

The shipping options at Auctionet are not great

The shipping options at Auctionet are quite less and complicated, and the overall process feels complex. Many times, I even miss out on bidding opportunities simply because transportation is not available.

It would be much better if the auction houses themselves handled transportation directly and provided reliable delivery support to clients. This would make the process much smoother and more customer-friendly.

I often find myself struggling with transportation, which takes away from the overall experience.

I rate one start due to two reasons:

I rate one start due to two reasons:
1. Auctionet has stopped supplying delivery service for many items, when previously those items had delivery options.
2. They refuse to reiburse two payments made for the same item, when my credit card assures me that the payment has been done and I have sent the two charges on the credit card.
It is getting worse and worse by the day.
