Deceptive checkout. Deceptive billing.
Deceptive checkout. Deceptive billing. They encourage you to "Become a member" without making clear that you're signing up for a monthly subscription. You think you're signing up for emails, enticed by discounts. It's really a $7.95/mo subscription enabled by default on checkout.
Worse, when they bill you monthly, they do not send receipts. If you don't check your credit card statement, they'll get away with it indefinitely.

Our FlexPass Membership is completely optional. When purchasing an audiobook, on our website, we have 2 purchase options available. The FlexPass Membership option is available, as is a "regular price" option listed just below that.
The FlexPass membership option is noted at multiple points through out the checkout process, and also has the ability to be removed should you not wish to enroll into the monthly membership before you complete the checkout process.
Once the purchase is complete, the customer also receives an additional email confirming their enrollment into the FlexPass Membership. This email advises them they can cancel their FlexPass Membership at any time, as well as advises them that they did enroll in a membership for the monthly fee of $7.95.

AudioBookStore Signed me up for a monthly subscription without making clear or explaining, when I clearly do not use the service. Unacceptable! Do not use this company.They are very untrustworthy.
