Gone into liquidation with no audio, no refund. Heartbreaking to lose our wedding memories. If anyone still has their phones, the audio can be extracted from SD cards on the inside.

As per all the other people that have…

As per all the other people that have paid for and return their Audio Books we as well have not received back our messages. Our wedding was 24th June 23, I have rang, emailed and whatsapp and no reply. Devastated that we will not get our messages from our family and friends at our wedding. Does anyone know the procedure of how to to take legal action against this company? Appreciate any help.

Chris Boyd you’re a joke

This company is beyond a joke. Booked back in May for my wedding on 8th July. Received it 3 days before, worked fine and sent back tracked delivery on 10th July. I’ve had proof it was delivered back to the address.

Since then i’ve called, emailed and whatsapp’d numerous amounts of times with nothing being answered.

I managed to find Chris Boyds (owner) company email and sent him an email to ask where my messages are only to be met with a disgusting reply back. Supposedly they’re grieving someone in their family but from what i’ve read here, they’ve gone bust as a company.

I didn’t want a refund, I just wanted my messages back. I know damn well that phone got delivered back and signed for by BOYD on my tracking info.

Chris Boyd, you’re a conman and it’s karma that you’ve now gone bust.

Could have been a great company but clearly not. Heartbroken that i’ll never hear my messages back. If you have a heart deep down (I doubt it) you’ll do the right thing

Not a professional business

I had contacted a lady called Katie, from audio keeps on hiring a phone for my wedding which happened on the 11.08.23. I hired the phone early January 2023. Up until April 2023 she had reassured me everything was fine and that I would recieved my phone latest from the 7-9th of August. I began contacting Katie from the 6th and I heard nothing. I was and still am devastated that I have no memories from my guests to me and my husband from our wedding day. I’ve contacted emailed and called multiple of times to claim my refund of 150£ and I have not heard anything. Does anyone know how I can go about getting my money back.

CONPANY NO LONGER RUNNING

Their website is still up and running so i wanted to make it very clear for anyone reading these that they are in liquidation as there are no messages to let you know they are no longer running on their website. Luckily I posted on social media this morning and someone saw it who was planning on booking through them and now knows not to.

I paid for our phone last year and the emails between myself and Katie were frequent and ofcourse quick. A few months before our wedding (July) i tried to make contact numerous times with no luck. They didnt answer the phone, reply to my whatsapp messages or emails. Exasperated and worried i left a negative review saying i had no communication from them and was unsure if they were even still running. Within a few hours they replied to my whatsapp message saying they were still trading and had over looked my messages. They asked if i still wanted a refund as i wouldnt find availability elsewhere. Whilst there was infact availability elsewhere at a higher price i decided as we had now made contact all would be ok and stupidly agreed to stay with them. I also immediately took down the review.

We received the phone 5 days prior to our wedding and i was over the moon. Our guests loved it and have said they couldn't wait for us to hear them. One of my closest friends sadly passed away unexpectedly 2 days after my wedding so her message would have been even more special. We returned the phone and then heard nothing. No replies again to my messages.

I checked the reviews this morning and saw numerous ones having the same issue. One review said they had gone through a very difficult family time with the loss of a family member, but they seemed hopeful they would still receive their messages.

I messaged Katie straight away pleading to still get the messages especially with the loss of my friend. I offered to collect the phone/memory card, pay extra for them to send the phone back, only to be met with we would be removed by police and it was people like me (for leaving the first review) who are to blame for their business failing and she found irony in my messages!!!!!

Had the company of put an out of office on their emails explaining a delay, or an update on their website then perhaps they would not have received any negative reviews in the first place. It is disgusting that they can blame their customers when they failed to provide any communication. What do they think their customers will do? She obviously isn't fit to run a business and there is no surprise it has gone under.

She told me writing a review now made no difference to her but I am writing this so people know point blank they will not receive their messages and if you have booked a phone and have time, please go elsewhere.

Our precious memories are now gone  especially that of my friend.

You have ruined a part of people's wedding day and I hope you can live with yourselves

Shocking behaviour for a company

As with everyone else, ordered my audiobook in February, did not receive in July. Totally ignored my messages. The least they could have done would have been to have the courtesy to reply and explain. Thankfully I paid through PayPal so hoping I can get my money back.

Still waiting on our voicemails

Another similar experience from Audiokeeps. We ordered our audio guest book from Audiokeeps in December last year ahead of our wedding on Sunday 9th July this year. We received our guest book and sent it back on the Monday. We have tried calling, emailing and sending WhatsApp messages multiple times with no response. Where they seem to be going through a difficult time (based off of other reviews) we'd be okay to wait for our voicemails and are trying to be patient. However, with no guarantee they even have them/still have them and having waited over a month already, we are starting to worry we just won't get them at all and should we try and get a refund. Wishing we had paid a little more and gone with another company at this point. I'll update this review when (if!) we hear anything back.

16/8/23 company has gone bust, kept my £149 which was paid in May. Only just told me after threatening with legal action. Absolute fuming, disgusting service from them and now ruined our big day which is on the 19th. Chris Boyd your a conman and very dishonest.

As an update to my below review - I was never sent my audio book for my wedding on Saturday (12th Aug) and have had zero acknowledgement of my attempts to contact the company. They've taken my money, not given me my audiobook and are now ghosting their customers.

If this has happened to you please contact Citizen's Advice - when I did they had already been reported. The more people report them, the more likely they are to actually acknowledge their 'customers' and return the money they have stolen.

Awful experience, never received

We have the exact same poor experience. Initially. Fantastic service, when we booked and paid in full on October 2022 for our wedding abroad, this month. We provided the pre recorded message only a matter of weeks ago and received a response, all was looking good. And then on the day of the expected arrival all communication ceased. A wedding abroad is a stressful enough event without the added stress of this! Whilst we understand that there are unforeseen circumstances, the lack of communication has been the worse thing about this. Absolutely gutted we couldn’t have this at our wedding but also grateful we aren’t on the situation where we don’t receive our recorded messages, like some poor other bride and grooms. Such a shame as had the potential to be a great company. ☹️

No update, no response, no voicemail guestbook. Shocking.

Exactly the same as all the other reviews.
I saw the numerous reviews of other people claiming they hadn't received their guestbook, as well as not having any contact from Audiokeeps.
I therefore decided to cancel my booking before going through this ordeal and I have had no response to my cancellation.
On their website they state that if you cancel before the product is shipped (which I did) then I should receive a refund confirmation within 1 working day. I have not received this and now am going through my bank to try and get my money back. as they have been unable to fulfil the service.

Avoid - Guestbook did not arrive and messages ignored

Our experience was much the same as others have had recently - despite ordering months in advance and paying in full, our audio guestbook did not arrive. All of our messages were ignored and we have had no communication since.

I understand from other reviews that the owners of this company may be going through a difficult time, with a little communication we would have been completely understanding of this both in terms of whether we'd actually receive the guestbook, and the money. However, to take full payment and not communicate at all is really unacceptable - we had to make alternative arrangements the day before our wedding to make sure we had a guest book at all.

We have requested a refund although not hopeful of receiving any response - unfortunately, avoid this company.

Much the same as everyone else.

Phone was delivered the day before our wedding and they wouldn't respond to us when we were chasing for where it was. They only responded when it had been delivered.

Now we've sent it back and a month and a half later, we haven't even received a confirmation that they've got it. No communication on email, WhatsApp or phone calls, after daily chasers.

Just want a heads up of what's going on, even if it is to say that they are delayed. Communication is key.

I would avoid if you are looking to use them. They may be cheaper than others, but at least you'll be receiving what you pay for, out of the competition.

We have had very similar experience to…

We have had very similar experiences to a lot of these latest reviews. Our wedding was on the 8th July and we sent our phone back on the 11th. I have also been trying to contact them and luckily have heard from them this evening. From what I understand Audiokeeps is a family run business and unfortunately they are going through a very difficult personal time with the loss of a family member. Its very understandable that their customers are upset (including me) not hearing from them as weddings are such important times in a lot of people lives. Hopefully with bit of respect and patience from their customers this family will be able, in time, to come back to their work. In the mean time, prior to this difficult time for them, i would like to say I found Audiokeeps to be really good. They were very easy to get hold of and were happy to answer all our questions. The phone book came in time and our guest loved it!! I’m looking forward to hearing our messages in time but for now we can wait (it’s always good to spread out the excitement anyways!)

Same story as everyone else below unfortunately. Absolutely gutted that we never received our phone. My dad built and painted a phone box especially for it. Completely ghosted by the company, didn't answer emails, whatsapps, phone calls despite numerous attempts.

Times are hard and we can't afford to throw 150 away. We'll be pursuing a refund, but not holding out hope that they will ever answer the phone or reply to emails.

If someone from the company reads this, please do the right thing and refund everyone.

No communication or product received

As many other reviews have stated- the company has suddenly stopped replying to customers who have paid for the service and not received the product. This is deeply upsetting as many couples like myself have paid for this service to preserve special wedding memories and the company has not delivered. As my wedding is on Thursday, I am having to try and sort an alternative in a short space of time which is very stressful when the next few days should be relaxing,
I would like to request a full refund.

Phone delivered on 29th June.. still no audio file!

Ordered a phone for our wedding on the 29th June this year, phone was delivered no problems and communication was good! However after over a month of waiting for the Audio file we still haven't received anything. I have emailed, whatsapped and called. Google says the business is closed. I am really hoping that things will be sent and are just delayed but not holding much hope out and absolutely devastated at the thought of losing our guests lovely messages. I will be sitting down and researching trading standards processes to claim money back if the audio file does not reach us soon.

FIND ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR AUDIO-GUEST BOOK

Fellow brides, if you are lucky and have time and the funds - FIND ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR AUDIO-GUEST BOOK.
We are in the same position as others but have been lucky enough to find out with just enough time that we won’t be receiving the audio guest book for our wedding in a week. We’ve rushed to find an alternative company and we booked over a year ago.
Audiokeeps ignored all our attempts to contact them. They have been met with unfortunate circumstances leading to customers being disappointed. I wanted to save other brides the stress by writing this.
We will be trying to get our £149 back.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

If I could score this company 0/5 I would. Simply put, we ordered an audio guestbook for our wedding yesterday (27th July ‘23) in November 22 and it did not turn up.

Last week, I sent our audio clip to be added to the phone prior to us receiving it. After chasing via email for two days, WhatsApp and phoning both numbers - I finally got through to Chris who said all had been received and sorted.

The following Monday, I contacted again to see when I could expect delivery of the phone as our wedding was on the Thursday and we had had no communication from them to say that it had been dispatched. After 24 hours of again emails, WhatsApp’s and phone calls, I had received nothing and also hadn’t received the phone. Thankfully Andy at a different company, The Telephone Guestbook, was able to send me one of their devices last minute and we had what we wanted for our day in less than 24 hours of me contacting them.

The customer service and communication at this company is POOR. £149 paid 8 months ago for a service that was not delivered.

Wedding is tomorrow, I've been trying to get hold of then via phone, email and WhatsApp.
Terrible service, if they even exist.
I feel so let down by these opportunists. It's not acceptable for a bride to be treated this way. Every penny is hard earned and accounted for, and I really can't afford to have wasted £150!!!

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. I got married yesterday and after purchasing our audio guest book months ago, sending across our message for guests to hear when they pick up the phone a few weeks ago (which was responded to) we have since heard nothing. I have tried everything possible to contact them in the week leading up to the wedding. They don’t answer calls or respond to messages. I’m now having to dispute the payment with my bank. Avoid!!!
