Amazing support & wisdom for free!

I’ve been trying to find support and good information around ADHD and ASD. Struggles of a lifetime are now making sense! Finally! These guys are brilliant and use co-production so we get views from clinical approaches and lived experiences. The best way. Very friendly, intimate, supportive and informative (and sometimes kind of fun!) for anyone confused or struggling or after more info or even helping family and friends understand the facts, issues, situations, battles, struggles, highs, lows, wins and superhumanness of neurodivergents! Can’t thank you guys enough! It’s clearly a passion project from love and experience, not money or fame chasing- which is rare. Someone please fund these guys to give them the support they need to reach and help those in need.. big need. Much love and respect! Thank you!

The Autism & ADHA Advocates CIC are compassionate and knowledgable in discussing neurodiversity issues.

The Autism & ADHA Advocates CIC gave and continue to give succinct, valuable information around neurodiversity issues.

I was able to understand the basic concept of what Sensory Processing is in relation to neurodiversity and how sensory processing "diffculties" can affect someone in a very simple but detailed presentation.

The presenters are incredibly knowledgable. They are willing to share their own experience and allowed participants to ask questions and participate in a dialogue which was incredibly helpful to me personally.

As a parent of a teenage child who was recently diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia, there is an overwhelming amount of information online and trying to understand the basics of these specific learning difficulties have been a challenge within itself.

For me, having a place to come for more information and support from The Autism & ADHD Advocates CIC through their manageable "bite size" presentations has been invaluable.

I look forward to attending more of their sessions.

ADHD-Understanding Executive Functioning

An interesting webinar that clearly demonstrated the challenges around ADHD and it's impact on Executive Functioning and outlining some positive activities that could help address these. Would have been great to be able to unmute and talk with the presenters after the presentation in the Q&A section.

Our Executive functioning presentation was so busy we would not have had time for everyone like we did, if we had turned the mics on.

A knowledgeable, passionate & dedicated team

A knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated team, working tirelessly to help & support others.

Their knowledge and lived experiences underlined with a human, approachable touch helps information to be easily absorbed, while making it feel ok to ask questions in their sessions.

For a small team they are on the ball, posting/replying regularly in Facebook groups, hosting online & in person events, offering advice or a friendly chat, and they always seem happy to help where possible.

Helped me understand my own version of ADHD

Helped me understand my own version of ADHD and therefore how to manage it without it impacting on my physical and mental health soo much. The sensory sessions have been particularly revelatory especially in helping me understand how my ADHD differs from my son and grandson's and how actually it is similar in ways I hadn't realised. It was lovely to finally understand what drives them to behave in the particular ways that they do and get techniques I can apply to myself more. I've been told at the hospital pain clinic that Fibromyalgia and ADHD are linked but never understood the mechanics of that before. I now know that my body jerks are because I have been stationary too long - I never understood that I have been controlling an underlying desire to be physically active at major detriment to my physical and mental health.
