Not helpful
Sadly, after using Auto Europe many, many times, we will leave their service. Never in the las 10 years using AE we cancelled. This past week, due to an illness of a person in our party we had to return the car a day early. We asked for a refund and they keep telling us about their policy. I am surprise they don't have some kind of exception for situations that are totally out of the control of the customer. So please be aware of this when you do your next reservation.

Unfortunately, there´s nothing we can do since, according to the terms and conditions stated on your voucher and in our website, no refund is possible for cancellations with less than 48 hours prior to the reserved rental start date and time, and for cancellations after the planned pick up date.

This company is a fraud
This company is a fraud !
You book online through their website and they let you buy an insurance with no excesses, which is quite pricey.
Once booked and you arrive at the terminal to get your car the agency tells you nothing is covered except for the body and even in that case vandalisms or another other cause that is not an accident with a clear guilty is exempted.
You are then forced to pay 30 euro / day more which is doubling your rent.
They say in the contract it's mentioned and the funny thing is that it says everything is included and then the opposite in a very little clause available only if you download a PDF of 14 pages.
When you call them before booking obviously they don't answer and they give you no help afterwards.
I am planning to open a procedure against them for lack of transparency towards the cunsumers.
I highly discourage to go through them for your reservation

In the terms and conditions of the voucher shows the insurance/coverage chosen and what it covers.
I did a random search in the UK website, since I don’t know the details of your reservation, and the insurance/coverage is shown during the booking process in “Rate details”, “General Business Terms”, normally in the sections 8-12 and summarize in “Additional information”.
Please send to “Customer Service” your complaint in order for your case to be reviewed.
I don’t know from which website you booked, so I will give you the Spanish one.
If you happen to feel more comfortable writing in English, please do so.
