We rented the car from them. When we picked up the car, we discovered damage to it. We reported this and also sent an email.
After we returned the car, we received a claim for damage that was already on the car before we picked it up.
Customer service is impossible to get in touch with.
They do not reply to emails, and when you call them and explain the situation, they hang up immediately.
Two months passed, and then we received an email stating that we had sent the complaint to the wrong email address and needed to send it to a new one. We did so, but it did not help.
They have now charged us money and refuse to speak with us.
They will be reported to the police.

We had a car rented in Alghero, everything was fine, the staff was also helpful and we received a better can then we ordered. The car was clean and it had some previous damages, but it was well documented. I did not gave 5 star rating because we needed to wait almost a month for the deposit to be returned. The staff on the airport said that it will be returned in few days, but after weeks of waiting I have sent them an email and they have apologized and sent the money back immediately, saying that it was a technical issue in their system.

I just want to thank the lady who took care of my car renting at the reception in Alghero airport, on september 1st around noon time. She was patient and efficient and could argue in a convincing way about the necessary insurance and how to recover unnecessary payments.

Please don't book a car at Autovia / Ecovia Alghero Airport
I have booked a car trought Ryanair. At Alghero airport to pick up the car, began the nightmare. All my credit cards, only have my first and last name, and during years and years of travels and rent a cars, this wasn't a problem. Until I picked up the car at Ecovia.
The very unhelpful and attentive employee, Francesco, told me that company policy meant I couldn't hire the car because the name on my credit card didn't match my ID. I explained to him repeatedly and showed him that all my cards were like that.
He proved to be a complete incompetent, a jerk. I asked him to call someone responsable to solve the situation, but he didn't do nothing, just reply me that we wasn't authorized to call nobody.
I went to another rent a car office at airport and I picked up a car without any problem.
Autovia / Ecovia NEVER AGAIN!!!

Replying to Autovia. You don't know your own conditions. From your General Terms and Conditions of Rental said at point 1.4 the following:
1.4 A credit card, (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), bearing the customers name and surname on the front, and that is not due to expire before the date of termination of the rental contract(...)
As you can see said NAME and SURNAME, not a complete name as you mentioned.
It's a poor excuse for BAD BAD SERVICE, refusing me a car that I have booked and paid with the same card.

I rented a car from Autovia, I get a beautiful new car, which unfortunately was scratched in a parking lot, but as we had an insurance with Autovia this damage did not cost anything for us. It took a bit longer than expected to get the security deposit back on my bank card but finally everything was ok. I totally recommend Autovia and I highly recommend everyone to have insurance.

Very slow service at Alghero airport, unfriendly staff and additional charges, which were not showcased at the online reservation. I was charged a full amount of insurance plus a deposit of 100 euro, which after a whole month now I still did not receive back. This despite having a protocol that the car is in the same condition as when taken and despite the fact that we went back to the airport 14 days after the car was returned to request our money back. A complete fraud!

Very bad experience when taking the car for renting, waited almost an hour as the staff is super super slow. Then when we returned the car, we were charged for scratches underneath the car, at the back. We are sure to have not caused it but somehow the staff knew exactly where to look for the scratches and charged us 200 euros!!! Really bad behaviour and unacceptable. Do not recommend at all!

I have experience with Daniele in Alghero airport, everything was without problems, pick up process, returning car. We have small accident and damaged car but it was not problem with insurence a we do not pay anything. Daniele was nice and help us.

I personally was very satisfied with them, the staff was very friendly and polite, had no problems with the car, deposit refund in 24 hours. I definitely recommend them and for sure I will come back and use their service!

We hired 3 cars in September, paying €207 each upon booking with discover cars/optimorent the brokers, which included the full insurance. When we arrived at the airport no signs of discover cars, or Optimorent who we thought we had booked with. Turns out it was actually Autovia through those brokers and after searching around and asking loads of people who worked in the airport we eventually found the hire desk. Autovia then scammed us all out of a further €252 due to our credit cards having our own first initial and surname not full first and surname. Even though we had a passport, driving license, valid credit card and purse full of debit cards to prove who we were I even logged into my online credit card company app to show them my full name and the electronic card number to match the physical card in front of them. Refused car hire and no money back from the purchase unless we paid the additional €252 for credit card not saying Hannah Bassett. We were forced into this whilst at the airport with our tired children and an hours drive away from our accommodation so we had no other choice than to sign and pay the additional. We were told our broker Discover cars and/or Optimorent would resolve this once home which they haven't. I wish I had seen all the reviews online and social media before booking. Between our 3 separate bookings we had 3 credit cards in the name on the bookings, Barclay credit card, Natwest credit card and Santander credit card didn't have FULL FIRST NAME AND FULL SURNAME! First initial only and full surname. I have contacted the bank since coming home and told they don't issue credit cards with full name on.
