Great conveyancing firm
We recently used AVRillo for selling our house and we had very positive experience. They were very responsive and kept us informed at every stage. Their online portal provides an excellent platform for following processes and seamlessly uploading and signing documents. We booked a couple of call surgeries with Nathan and Abigail - they were always kind and informative in explaining the details. We were also very impressed how quickly the team managed the legal work.

Absymal service - not recommended for first-time buyers
Would definitely recommend not using - abysmal service, almost lost me the purchase, and I had to report them to the Ombudsman
As a first time buyer, I knew the house buying experience would be a stressful one, and I would face some challenges, but working with AVrillo made the entire process infinitely worse, and I would urge anyone considering them to think again.
AVrillo came recommended by my estate agents, and offering (what I thought were) fairly reasonable prices, I decided to pick them. However, this proved to be an incredibly poor decision.
The primary issue with this firm is communication. You might expect that during such an important process, being able to talk to the person handling your case might be a simple process. Not at AVrillo, where the head agent works with a team of junior people, meaning contacting the right person and getting a timely response is more of a hope than a promise. The firm does offer weekly surgeries, but they fall during normal work hours, and barely last enough time to get any input or useful information,
Each agent has both an individual and a team email address you can contact them at, but this does not (as the company notes in its emails) mean you are actually contacting them, meaning getting a reply is incredibly slow.
This "process" almost led to me losing my purchase, as a lack of reply at an incredibly vital point in the deal left my seller ready to call the whole thing off - it was only through the amazing work of my estate agent, whose director had to contact the ownners of AVrillo directly by email, that this was saved.
When I complained about this delay, I was simply told I was incorrect - despite a host of evidence, including internal emails from the seller solicitors to the contrary, and my own emails to AVrillo staff.
Possibly the only good thing about AVrillo's online system is that it does record every email and communication send during the process - useful backups for when you need to complain.
AVrillo also demands you carry out AML and income checks via the Checkboard app, one of the least intuitive and badly-made apps around - good luck trying to upload all the documents you need without the app crashing.
Finally, when it came to my final bill, I was confronted with an amount far and away above what had originally been agreed, and when I asked for some justification, and a refund, I was brusquely refused.
Even replying to my notice of complaint took more than two days, which should probably tell you a lot about how they operate.
In short - I would definitely caution against using this firm - they will make the entire buying process so much more stressful and painful than you could ever imagine, especially if you are a first-time buyer.
I reported them to the Ombudsman, and have settled my case.

We note that you did refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. After reviewing the matter, they did not accept it for investigation and instead referred you back to our final response, confirming that the issues raised had already been addressed.
We understand that your perception of the experience differs, however we remain confident that the service provided met the appropriate professional standards.
