Back to Bases were very easy tod deal with, from the comprehensive quotes provided by Darren, all based on photos, videos and conversations we had, to the actual install carried out by Graeme and Alfie, both of who were professional, punctual, efficient and friendly. The finished job looks great, and I have no doubt that we will be asking for quotes on future projects we have in the garden

Reliable and thorough

The guys were great , got on with it , very clean and tidy. very fast service. Would easily recommend.

Initially, Darren from Back to Bases visited me on 1st October 2025, so could see my requirements. These were, the removal of 2 small trees, replace 2 fence posts and fit 3 new fence panels. Then finally to prepare an area at the end of the garden to lay a 4M x 3M reinforced concrete base.
All this was organised at very short notice. Darren managed to rearrange other bookings to fit us in on 6th & 7th October. The trees were cut down on 6th. This was done very professionally and did not affect any other areas of the garden.
At 8.00am on 7th a man arrived to replace the fence posts and fit new fence panels. Then two more men arrived to cleared away all the wood from the previous day. They then prepared the whole area for the base to be laid. The chap doing the fencing then assisted the other two in preparation for the concrete pour. The whole thing was completed by 5.30pm. I was impressed with their care to detail and attention, as they had to access my garden via a neighbours side entrance and with the removal of a fence panel. My neighbour was full of praise for the way they carefully brought everything through and also tidied up at the end of the day. I am very pleased with the base, which now has an Art Room/Studio under construction sitting on it.
I would highly recommend Back to Bases, to anyone else who has similar or more advanced requirements for their garden.

time keeping was great, started morning at eight o clock finished by midafternoon stayed on to early evening on the sunday in the rain trying to get work up to date that evening had three hour drive home .this was a day they went above and beyond of work1 stepping up making a difference .

Back to bases were recommended to us by the company building a cabin in the garden of my Fathers property for them to lay the base. The recommendation from another company shows they are trusted and respected and we found out why. The booking was easily made and once we'd chosen what we wanted a date set. Access through to the garden was a bit restricted but this didn't cause the team any problems. After negotiating the access it was another 110 feet across the garden to where the base was required, no problem there either. The grass was covered with boards for protection showing respect for the property.
Great care was taken over the position of the base and checked and double checked for squareness and leveled.
Upon completion, apart from one drying, reenforced slab of concrete you would never know the team had been there. I'm one very happy customer, fast , efficient, respectful. Wouldn't hesitate to use again and recommend to others. You won't be disappointed.

We used Back to Bases for a decking replacement and a base installation for a log cabin. From the initial enquiry to the completion of the job, their communication was consistently excellent.

We needed a patio for our garden area at Barking Fire Station training centre. We had a very tight budget, I spoke to Anthony at Back to Bases for some advice as he had previously done some work at my home. He offered to build us a patio, accepting our tight budget. The patio is beautiful and completed to a high standard, it would have cost a lot more than what we had, very generous, Thank you Anthony.
